Spectacular staff and service. The pup stylists were a joy to speak with and took great care of my puppy. She got a wash and trim and smelled amazing upon pickup. They were great with her and were amazing at familiarizing her with the grooming process. My pup was admittedly on the wiggly side especially with her face and feet, but the team was great at working with her, keeping her happy and getting her fresh and clean.Not the best pics to be honest, but she was super cute in person.

Excellent! We have been having our dog groomed by a private groomer while living out of state and looked here but couldn't find any. They were either not accepting new dogs or appointments would be 2 months out which is unacceptable. We hesitated going here because we think of Petco as a dog food and supply store rather than a groomer but we made an appointment and we're so glad we did! They took him the next day and did an awesome job! We'll be bringing him here from now on.

Decided to get my new Shih zhu his shoots and hair groomed here. He love it looks nice and they have great staff. Most definitely continuing my pet services here. His haircut was $50 before tax and fees.

The owner did a great job on my pits nails. She was gentle and patient with her. And the price was very reasonable. I will definitely be going back there again. And I would recommend everyone to take your animals to her. She's at Pavers pet supplies on Portage Rd.

We’ve had good experiences here and are happy with the grooming our pup has received. Our groomer is experienced and didn’t force trimming sensitive areas (Ears, feet, etc.) until our dog was ready for it. We appreciate this kind of care and attention knowing we’ve left our dog in good hands. Room for improvement would be a call/text when there is need for an additional charge/service added. I also tried to contact the grooming department to get a status update and no one picked up. This is probably more of a Petco general issue, I know the groomers have their hands full.

Our cherished rescue pup's are very important to us and we are so happy that they are well taken care of when we bring them in to have their nails trimmed or get a bath. We are very impressed with the caring people who have taken care of our dog's. It was so nice that when we took them to be trimmed last Sunday I, due to health reasons didn't go in but my husband took one dog in then came out and got the second. When they were done and he had payed for them one of the sweet young ladies helped him bring the two dogs out to our car. As elderly people we truly appreciate all the kindness the workers show us!

I have always taken my Maltese to Petco in Battle Creek,MI and have had great experience every time. We recently moved to Portage and wanted to continue with Petco here. However my experience has been the worst ever. I scheduled the appointment online. I received a call from the groomer to confirm. I confirmed the appointment and let her know that my Maltese was matted. She said she would look at it at the time of the appointment, but did not think it would be an issue. When I reached the salon, I was told the groomer was using the restroom and would be back in a few minutes. She came back pretty soon and was running her fingers through my baby’s fur. She said she was not comfortable to groom him and that I should have a vet clear out his mats and then bring him back. I explained to her this is how it gets when he has seeds stuck in his coat and that the groomer at Petco Battle Creek are able to shave him down.She and another groomer scared me about him getting some blood blisters once his coat was shaved. She then said he was bleeding as she had some blood stain on her fingers(bit fresh bold). She, the other groomer and I checked him, but did not see any blood anywhere (he is white, blood would be visible). She kept insisting that my pet was bleeding as she had just washed her hands. All I can think of is that the pet she groomed previous to my baby was hurt and bled and she did not wash her hands well to take the blood stain off. I had another groomer from a different salon, take care of my baby and she did a wonderful job with him! I will definitely not be returning to this particular Petco salon.

First experience taking my fur baby in was amazing, our stylist was Amber. I picked up my little one satisfied with the outcome of her haircut. Amber made sure to leave her face left the way I asked to be. Charged her as a Short hair xs, which she is.Second experience was with Stacy....smh! Honestly after taking my baby home and looking her over better. I learned to find out how disappointed I was. The cut didn't go how I asked to be done.My baby came home looking good in some areas and bad in the others. As well as that part above the eyes I wanted left alone (as I told her multiple times), was instead cut to the groomers liking and not my own. She didn't blend the back legs as asked and instead leveled cut the area all the way across the bottom (From the back, towards the front legs) my little one still has a viewable hair loss area. (That was the main reason for the visit)I was also charged this time as a Long hair xs for her, which she isn't. This cut was not worth the price and twice the amount I was charged the last time.If we were to return to this Grooming location, it will be Amber or my little one and I will be refusing the service. This is ridiculous.

This is honestly my first ever review...I have bounced around town...honestly pm me and I can tell you TRUTH Don't go anywhere else! I have had dogs for 15 years now. Both long hair GSD...through the years the groomers here have been nothing but AMAZING. They are kind to my dogs when they don't want to go back...they are kind to my dogs during. I can tell you truth...these groomers need a raise as this is a thankless career that I sooo appreciate!!!!!!Thank You Amber and all off the team at Petco that has been making my dogs welcome, safe, and looking amazing for years (Zooka misses you in dog heaven)

We had our puppy groomed at least 3 times previous thought we communicated our wishes pretty well ...but never seem to get even 50% of what we were looking for and maybe somethings we were not looking for. This time My instructions were written down and gone over with me and then communicated to the groomer. When complete it appears that Meghan at least attempted to do as we wished and spent time explaining why she did what she did and what we might do to help get the results we are looking for. She did not do things not asked.... After discussing with Jillians Mom we may ask that she be a tad more aggressive on a couple areas but overall best job so far.

I would have liked a little shorter hair cut for the summer. I had to ask to get more hair removed to help her stay clean when she does her business. I'm shure things will improve as we get used to each other. We have recently move hare from Rochester, New Hampshire, where we used Petco too.

Always get my dog in right away and do a good job and are very efficient. I dont have to wait around all day for them to be done. And most importantly they seem to always take great care of my dog and that's what matters most
