Went to buy a selection of Aquarium plants for a self sufficient panted tank. A Miss Danmy was very informative. She explained each variety of plants and explained their size and development. She also showed different colors of each variety. Very helpful and purchase beta food pellets to add to this future natural tank. Adding globe picture remember water just added with some natural sand and pond water, then fresh water to fill bowl. Need to add a touch more water to top of Roman statue.

Not a lot of selection for fish, tanks had the same kinds. Tanks looked very dirty not to mention that some of their tanks had ick and they said just to rinse the plants and fish off before transferring them to your tank, NO THANKS!!! Your website is very misleading everything on the website looks great that is why we chose to drive this far, drove a hour one way to be very disappointed I'll stick with vi pets and bluefish

Little store with very helpful staff. They really care about you animals and your budget. I have been 3 times within a month, for both my freshwater tanks and kitten. Will be going back again for my pet needs.

Fish section hasn't been as good. I think one of the more experienced employee left. There was a lot of dead fish. Not a large selection. Wrong prices and species. Betta I got also had parasitic worms. Still though a lot of fish and aquarium accessories

They have a nice setup. Lots of fish tanks, but low on stock for fresh water fish. Hope to come back when you have a bigger stock of fish!

This place is AWESOME. I spoke to guy named Jim if he can help me with my 4 years old pet fish Charlie. He took Charlie and tried his best to help me if he can save Charlie's life or do his best he can to save his life. Very kind and helpful man.

I just recently “ adopted” 3 neon tetras and 1 female guppy that had been purchased by a close friend at MVP whom is dying.Steve ( the owner) Josie, and other staff are very knowledgeable, helpful, and seek the most cost effective solutions to any needs or issues.Pleasant, Helpful, and willing to spend the time with you to ultimately solve any concerns or interests!

I like this place for fish and snails. I bought a mystery snail a while back and since then wish I bought him some friends so off i went to get more. I understand snails make more snails over night Haha that's okay, more little tank cleaners for my betta. At first my betta was a tad stressed with the first snail, though he never picked on the snail, and it's been about 2 months now since I had it and they been getting a long fine now. I have a 5.2 gal tank which 1 snail can't keep up with the house cleaning so now I have 4.The staff are really nice and helpful. I trust their experience with fish better than petsmart or Petco. They make sure the fish are healthy before they sell them which makes me feel better that I will have a healthy animal when I get home. I've bought fish in the past at other pet stores and they die the next day or a week later, however I have better luck with pet store bettas, I haven't bought a betta from here yet. From my experience with fish, all their fish look bright and alert, colorful and lively. If you're looking for fish (freshwater or salt) this is the place.

Super friendly staff, never have to ask for help as there is at least one smiling face asking if you need anything! The fish room is awesome! My daughter absolutely loves the display tank and seeing all the fish and other cool aquatic life!

This is THE place for high quality pet foods. The owner, and staff are at the top of their game as far as I'm concerned. We drive an hour there once a month or so, have for years, will continue to. For us it has become a great business/customer relationship, and we are very thankful at least one such store still exists! Their fish room is awesome as well. All in all, it really is a kind of nostalgic experience for me as I used to shop with my mom at locally owned pet stores when I was a child in the 80's.(Before nearly everything became a chain store.) Thank you to everyone at MV Pets!! You guys are the best!!

terrible fish selection with high prices on everything. the aquarium equipment is extremely over priced worse than anything online. this store should be closed down. staff have no idea what they’re talking about especially josie. i will never come here unless it’s my last option.

New favorite place for my pets. Pricing is fair, store has everything I'm looking for (especially if you're into fish), and it's close. I'll be driving 30 minutes past the chain stores in my town just to go here.Edit: I bought 14 fish Sept 8, all are alive and well. ZERO issues! Out of the hundreds of fish they had in their tanks, only 1 was dead. The tanks were clean, planted, and they have a small guide written on the glass of each tank so you have a good idea of what the fish will require.

I like the store because they have knowledge and there is inventory enough to find what you're looking for. However, I have found that staff kind of "dismisses" you, or they're too busy and you're passed off. So I will be repeat customer, but I hope the next time I visit their store that somebody will really genuinely want to wait on me.

We come here often. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Had 1 issue with a product we purchased, that was not at all their fault, and they made it right. We buy most of our fish here and will continue to. Thank you all for the service you provide. We will shop here for life. Great selection and I feel the animals are well cared for also.

Very busy and crowded on a Saturday. Definitely time for them to upgrade to a larger building. I went with my sister as she wanted to add some fish to her tank, but I had to wait in the main area because there was no room for two people to pass by each other in the fish room, I was just taking up space. They seem very nice and attentive, just need more space.

Not many places have such fantastic customer service. They have an excellent selection, and offer extremely competitive prices. Without a doubt the only place I'll go for all my aquarium needs!Update: Thanks to their incredible support, our aquarium is thriving and full of new baby fish! great store with very knowledgeable staff. every time i go in there i am greeted nicely and they answer all of my questions. they have a great fish selection including everything from your 10 gallon freshwater beginner setup to everything you need for a fully operational and beautiful marine reef tank. I would highly recommend them to anybody

A lots of products available, great selection of corals too. Amazing collection of fresh and salt water fish and fish tank products. The best place for pets, fish in particular, in Kalamazoo. Staff were extremely polite, knowledgeable, and all seemed to have a genuine passion for animals. Its a great small business that has products many places don't carry. Their fish inventory varies a lot but they're generally absolutely stunning fish.
