Today was the last straw. Went in here mid afternoon. 2 registers open, one employee, possibly new, had to keep calling the other cashier over for help. Where's the training? Is there even a manager on duty? Both lines at least 6 customers. I walked out along with other customers. I'm not impatient but that's ridiculous!

I used to work at a Dollar Tree and im gonna throw some kudos out to your stock team! Whoever is stocking and organizing your shelfs is doing an amazing job! I can tell just by walking in the time and attention to detail, good job, very impressed.

Love that it's clean and organized and now has 5 dollar options. But I hate that the carts can not leave the store. I get the point but it makes it really hard for single moms to do shopping. I have a 1 yr old that has to ride in the cart and I can never buy more then a couple things because I can't carry him out plus bags. Make sit impossible to shop.

It takes to long for check out you need faster people and ones that know what there’s doing so far never had a fast checkout and when the lines are long they need to ask all employees to help. Ring up do better dollar tree

There's a fine balance between friendly with the customer and talking too much while 3 lines have 7-8 people. When the chatty cashier went on break, she came to my cashier and got chatty with her slowing that line down as well. Management may want to take a closer look.

Not even worth saving the couple of bucks. Everytime I go in there it's for 1 or 2 items and I kid you not I spend at least 30 mins there total. There's always only 2 freaking people working the registers.... the lines are long as hell. If someone in line needs a dozen balloons, the cashier will leave her post to fill them all up when there are other people working in the store that could be doing this!!!!! So unprofessional. I clicked the $50 cash back button and the cashier has the nerve to say "you should have asked me before you did that, I dont have enough cash in here" like I was supposed to know that without a sign or anything. Pathetic excuse for a store. I'll go to Aldi if I need a few things.

I prefer this location because it's cleaner, it's bigger, and it feels in a safer location than the one by pet supplies plus. However, I've never once been spoken to in the store, despite several trips with purchases here. I don't really feel welcome to be honest. Just awkward silence through the checkout. Still, better than the other location. Maybe, raise wages. Dollar Tree employees almost always seem miserable, except the rare happy go lucky people. Now, that almost everything is $1.25, maybe give these workers a living wage?

I love dollar tree however, this one (Portage MI) leaves a not so positive experience. It has lots of items but it seems dirty and unorganized. Having said that, it was busy and the check out was rather smooth.

The store is typically clean and despite the supply shortage, they tend to have a good inventory.However, the staff is not the nicest. I don’t think it’s their fault, feels more like a Dollar Tree culture issue.Also, what’s up with the 25% increase in price? Everything is 1.25 now.

I've been shopping there for almost 4 years now, but today, I was blessed to meet one of the store's associates whose kindness and willingness to help impressed me as I've not been for long time. His name is Ricky! Oh my Lord! Because of him their store becomes my N*1 ! That senior was so fast, nice, quick to help with such a generous spirit that you can't fake or imitate! Hopefully his manager will read this post and give him a raise! He will totally deserve it! Way to go, Ricky! We appreciate you!

Rarely clean.Cashiers try their best but usually they have long lines.They have a great selection of teacher items.Toys are nice and so are their plastic bins of various colors and types. But be warned....It's seasonal is always an excellent excuse. We ordered 20 so we won't ever get these in again because it's a seasonal item. That's not what seasonal means.Never returns only in store exchange. This is tolerable if you carried items that were not loaded with chemicals. Maybe I got 10 glass plates for a retreat to many and the church doesn't need anything from your store and they want their money back after the retreat. Exactly how am I supposed to fix that one?Certainly think through a situation if it is not a logical situation for the individual or company do the return.

This is best Dollar Tree I have ever seen. I mean I’ve been all over the country, and this is the neatest, tidiest, well stocked store I have ever seen. AND, it is right NEXT door to several LARGE discount chains that are in complete shambles! Best of luck to ye!

Dollar Tree is one of my monthly stores to stop in. I frequent many of them throughout the Kalamazoo, Portage area. The stores are always very well stocked and you can find a huge variety of items. You can get food, housewares, cards, hair accessories, make-up, seasonal items as well as toiletries. Awesome place to shop.

Favorite place to shop especially for cafting items! Friendly staff and great selection! Could spend all day in there and i always come out with more then i went in to get but for a $1 i just cant pass it up. Always spend at least $20. Love this store!

My go-to store for some budget and pocket friendly items is dollar tree. Found some wine glasses which I used to decorate for my chat cuterrie party and it was super hit. Got some plates bowls small plates and a looott of stufff for my backyard and party decor. Always a nice place to see new stuff at pocket friendly price.

1 week before Halloween and they've swapped out all of their Halloween decorations in favor for Christmas. Halloween hasn't even HAPPENED yet and their merchandise is entirely gone save ONE shelf. Disgusted and disappointed. And I was all set to spend a bunch on decorations for a haunted house we're setting up for kids.

I have never in my life seen such a dirty unkempt store. The floors look as though they had not been swept in months. We went in to get coffee cups for my daughter to craft with for Christmas. The cups were so covered in dust, I wasn't sure if they were actually white. Just walking into the store made me want to run out and shower. It's too bad, the store use to be a nice establishment. Had I actually bought anything it would have been hand sanitizer to make myself feel better after leaving.

It happens every time. I go into this store for one or two things and end up with a cart full. As a person that does crafts regularly, this place always has things I can use and when the items are $1 each, it is very easy to get carried away, especially if you're not sure if the item will be a regular item or it is a one time thing and when it is gone, it's gone, so you want to scoop it up while they have it. I also go there for cleaning supplies and wrapping paper for gifts.

This is the best Dollar Tree in Kalamazoo. It has Friendly customer service. The store is neat, clean, organized and not cluttered like the other Dollar Trees in the area.

Dollar Tree is not usually my go to store. However, When I need that random item (a spray bottle, gift bag) I can count on them to fit the bill. The store always seems disorganized and messy and you can never find help when needed. Overall, not a bad store.
