This one star is for the bakery. Bought a cake for my son's birthday it was The worst cake I have seen from there. Whoever does the cakes needs to stop. Very unsatisfied with the quality of the cake

Given 5 stars to Nolan, kroger employee. He was very helpful, respectful and kind. Good job Nolan! Kroger employees need be more like you! Maybe you can show Linda cashier how to respect people with different ethnicities.

2022 UPDATE: While some minor stock improvements have been noticed, this store continues to underperformed by my expectations. The deli and bakery are still randomly closed with no warning. I've also noticed that this Kroger has decimated its once industry leading position on stocked no sugar added, refuced sugar bake goods. They are down to one item. They didn't even have their usual sugar free pumpkin pie. I've essentially written Port Huron Kroger off as a loss for my needs. PS, what used to be good produce, is slipping. Outdated produce on the racks! Pathetic and dangerous! Cincinnati better get involved or they'll be doing another store closing! The trend line as far as I'm concerned is DOWN! They won't even keep both u scan ends open. It takes one attending. Maybe the staffing problem is management and not the available labor. I'm starting to wonder.2021 EDIT FOLLOWING 1 YEAR OF PATRONAGE. I have to revise this as a kroger store that has given me the most consistently poor retail experience for groceries in my lifetime! Consistently empty shelves, a poorly stocked deli with No (0) compliance on Kroger's Value-added deli programs. They say the don't have room. Well you don't use the room you do have. I'm a retired kroger deli food service lead and I have been in many stores. Fort Gratiot Kroger is consistently the worst. I've stopped shopping Kroger and have moved to Walmart! Anyone who knows me, knows if this kroger has chased me off to Walmart, it's likely the worst Kroger Store in "The Enterprise" nationally. The DISTRICT MANAGER, AREA MANAGER, STORE MANAGER, DELI MANAGER & LEADS AND REGIONAL VP's should all be ashamed and embarrassed to show their faces in Cincinnati!All in all, I can only rate this kroger as mediocre at best. As a retired kroger employee I know the drill and I'm shocked each time I go in that this district management let's these manager associates get away with what as a casual observer seems to be total laziness when it comes to store readiness. My most recent trip at 11am thursday, 2 hours after set-time and this store was an unspoken shamble.

I and my wife like Krogers their products are good they have a nice variety and the store isn't to big so if you got to grab something its fast and it's quick....the only thing I don't like is they don't have enough people at cash...and sometimes they don't leave both sides of the self checkers open but its a nice store.

It's okay. The Customer Service desk closes early, I was told to come in the early morning...nope I am sleeping...deli and Bakery also close very early. Hard to find items. They don't seem to carry what we usually need. It's very dark near the entrance. They lose power alot in store. Don't care if you smoke, but please put in a cigarette butt tray, don't throw out by me as I'm walking by. And they will lock up early. Like 20 minutes and stand there.Oh well, there's other stores.

I have noticed the floors are consistently clean everyday I go in there. Wow! However is doing the floors there at night is a really hardworker. 😘😘😘

The produce has been going downhill for ages. I'd rather see an empty shelf than one full of wrinkled green bell peppers or squishy cucumbers.Most of the staff are still fantastic.The lines are getting out of hand and the service desk always being closed is a problem.But I understand the staffing issues (due in no small part to cut hours).When you see lines at the checkout, call corporate. Email. Do they survey. Complain. But for the love of God don't take it out on the employees in the store. They're trying their best.

It’s too bad there’s not a lower rating because this store has earned it. I’m specifically referring to the Kroger on Krafft Rd at the north end of Port Huron.Shelves are rarely stocked with sale items. Regular items are hit and miss. There’s loose stock ready to be put up on the shelves laying all over the aisles while 3-5 people standing around up front making sure we use the self-serv scanners properly. Last 4 times I was there, there have been zero “attended” checkout lanes open (again, with a handful of people just standing around). The customer service desk has been open ONE time out of probably the last 10-12 times I’ve been there over the last 6 months. A previous review mentioned the poor condition of the produce, which is probably 80% accurate, as in 1 out of 5 times you can find produce that actually looks and feels fresh, the other times it looks old and wrinkly and just yuck.I’m truly shocked this store is still open and in business.But apparently nothing is going to change as it’s been like this for a couple years with no improvement. Unfortunately, it leaves many having to go to the “super stores” for groceries.

Went to Kroger to get gas at 9:50pm....they are open to 10:00pm....I had cash...they said they only take a card at 9:50pm.They don't accept cash....The guy in front of me had alot of cash too not able to get gas either....He didn't look too happy....Poor customer service....You don't pull your drawer til you close...not 10 minuteearly

Used to be 5 stars....now 1 why the heck close off 1 entrance? Covid is OVER stop the curb side pick up!make everyone start doing their own shopping. Bring back the 2 entrances! People go there for 1 or 2 things don't wanna walk all the way to the 1 entrance and all the way around the dang store! And where is the aisles at checkout where there's a cashier? I don't get paid to do their work....I'm not a employee of Kroger I'm not scanning and bagging groceries

The produce section is not gigantic. However, what is available is always fresh and looks good. Great prices for every day items and Kroger brand products. Their sections of asian and Mexican selections are somewhat lacking and expensive. Store is always clean and staff are always polite and hardworking.

Lines from the front of the store all the way to the meat department. The pandemic is over people are going to grocery shop -start hiring cashiers people. When does it become a point in life when these stores are just cheap and don't want to pay for workers The pandemic has been over for quite a while now.

Every time I come here there is only one line open besides self-checkout and one or two functioning bottle returns. Cashiers and baggers are more interested in conversing with each other. South end is much better staffed. Hannah is the lone bright spot of this location, she is always smiling and busy, I once watched her go to the ATM when the lady in front of me couldn't find her card and mentioned she had used it there.

Just waited 50 minutes for a pick up order that they said was READY! Did not send us any substitutions to review. Called numerous times and “manager” hung up. Husband went inside to see what was going on, as our child had to use the restroom at this point - they had the nerve to tell us our order was still being worked on!!!!! They didn’t delay our order the hour they needed and give us the option to come at a later time, ask us if substitutions were okay (for example, we ordered a 4 pack of redbull and they gave us one tall watermelon redbull with debris stuck to the side of it). They did not offer us anything for our time - management did not come out to speak to us. We didn’t get 1/2 our order after an hour in their parking lot! They have over 6 young men standing around doing NOTHING and one poor girl running around doing all the orders and taking them out one-by-one. I will NEVER shop here again, nor will I ever recommend this store to anyone I know!

My biggest complaint is their lettuce, after 2 days it turns brown. This has happened to me 3 times so now I buy my produce elsewhere. I also noticed they don't always have Ice Mountain water and quite a few other things I usually buy okay it's a month later went there today to buy red peppers and green peppers and they were old wrinkly not firm Kroger's does not sell fresh vegetables like they advertise in their commercials

Waited to pay my bill for 20 mins while an associate just bs with another employee about him becoming management. Far as I could tell he diffently is not management material since he could not acknowledge a customer. Then he had the bold move of saying I'll be with you after I do this change order unless the other lady comes back. Meanwhile she comes back and says sorry it will be atleast 25 more minutes in stead of taking the 3 mins to help me as I have been waiting.

The store at the north end of Port Huron is terrible...the manager was not happy that I asked him to get somebody up front to ring me up! I don't work there and I refuse to use self checkouts. There are only 2 cashiers that are nice at that store, but good luck finding one to actually open a register! They need a manager there that knows how to run a store.
