Stayed at the hotel for a wedding/reception. Room was nice & clean, unique. Bed was very comfortable. (Only complaint is that there wasn't a mini-fridge in the room.) Wedding/reception was held in the Ballroom. Bartenders Brandon & Gabby were outgoing and very friendly! Food was absolutely DELICIOUS! Chef Tonya was outside on a break and overheard myself and some friends talking, joined our conversation as if she knew us and asked us if we enjoyed our meal. Overall, very enjoyable experience!!Rooms: NIce, chic rooms (only complaint, no mini-fridge).Food & drinks: Bartenders Brandon & Gabby were extremely friendly and attentive. Food was awesome and Chef Tonya asked how the meal was at the wedding reception.Noteworthy details: Enjoyed being able to take pictures in and outside of the old bank vault!

Had a great vacation. Christina was so helpful, she bent over backwards for us. Taking time to help, coming to me and giving me info she thought I would want, and it was. Tonya our chef and was the best in every way. Her cooking is wonderful, her heart is beyond words. We ended up staying longer than planned bc of these 2 women. We will be back.

My husband and I got married a month ago and had a block of rooms for our wedding here. I booked our initial block about a year in advance, signed a contact and had our room assignments all squared away just to find out in May that they could not find my contract on their end and I had to redo the whole booking. There was staff turn over from the time I had booked until May so they were trying to locate my documents and apparently the contact I initially signed never made into their system. When it came time for our bridal party and guests to start booking rooms, there were always issues not being able to take credit cards and no one would answer the phone when my guests called. We had several bridal party members reaching out to us saying they would have to call back due to one of those issues. I had to call and speak with the manager since apparently the new staff did not know how to use the new system and book under blocks. Just make sure if you book a block here you keep all your documentation. The rooms overall were good. They were clean and the beds were comfortable. There are no microwaves or refrigerators in the rooms, which I think is inconvenient if you are staying for more than a night. Since the building is older, there is no sound proofing in the rooms so you can hear everything in the rooms next door and the slightest traffic outside. There is also very limited parking so if you come on a weekend with a wedding you will have to search for parking, and they do not have any other options for parking at this time. The hotel could be better with some small quality of life upgrades.

We utilized CityFlats for our wedding in January and couldn't have been happier with how everything turned out! If you're thinking about booking a venue, I wouldn't look any further. It can be scary booking a venue and working with strangers, but when I tell you that any time we had an issue it was worked out within a week, I speak truly.Due to the nature of life, we did have to work with a few different event coordinators. Each one picked us up in stride and honored our contract (we booked early and they came under some management changes over the course of planning our event). I made sure to read it through thoroughly and kept track of all communications and documentation we shared, which definitely eased the transition for us. We couldn't have been more satisfied with the service we received! Amber, Tori, Chelsey, and Melissa were all wonderful to work with. Tori did not leave the party and made sure everything we needed was taken care of all evening.The only things we received complaints on (there's always someone, so take it with a grain of salt) were that it was very cold, and that there wasn't enough of the main dish that we ordered (part of that being people taking too much of it and nothing else). Everyone mostly raved about how beautiful it was and how much they enjoyed it. We did utilize a DJ but their sound system worked EXCELLENT for speeches and announcements.We especially loved taking photos in The Vault (fun for kids to explore as well!), our rainbow lighting change that made for different background colors for photos, and how wonderful all of the staff took care of us. The venue itself exceeded any other within an hour of travel by a landslide!

Showed up at 4:10 to check in, only to find a completely empty hotel. It took an hour, with the help of an older gentlemen that works downstairs, to find an employee to check us in. Once found, they blew past us with a look that we were disturbing them. Finally got checked in only to realize that I was given a MASTER KEY. Later I found out that the desk clerk had left for the day 😳. I called choice to find my missing points because I'm no showed everytime I stay here, just to find out that the desk has been unattended ALL NIGHT! This is unreal!! Then when I approached the desk to discuss with the gm my concerns, she brushed me off by saying that she was new and just doing what operations told her to do. I asked to speak to him, he was on property staying in a room. It took him 20 minutes to get downstairs just for him to listen to me, give me a dumbfounded look and told me to have a good day!!! Completely uncalled for! Neither had any concern for my safety or the safety of the hotel!!! Completely dismissed me and my concerns!! My husband and myself have worked in hospitality for over 10 yrs! This is completely unacceptable and I will be following up with my complaints to higher ups since the gm and operations aren't concerned!

We had the most delightful dinner at City Flats for their Valentine SoirĆ©e! The service was excellent and the meal was all home made and absolutely delicious!! Hats off to their new chef Tanya and coordinator Melissa! We’ll definitely be back!!

My family and I had a wonderful meal on Mothers day! The best breakfast/brunch I have ever had! The service was wonderful!!Food & drinks: The food was wonderful. A big selection. It was a wonderful Mothers day buffet!! The view was beautiful and the area we had our meal was very nice and not crowded!! A very clean place too!! I love the atmosphere!!!

Our favorite place to relax and enjoy the city! We go to both the locations in Port Huron and Grand Rapids, Michigan! Surrounded by many attractions and local shops. The rooms are designed and decorated differently than your typical hotel room, which we also enjoy. Check it out!!Rooms: Nicely designed and decorated. Has more of an urban twist to it. Very nice hotel

Nice comfortable beds, clean. Modern bathroom. Small work space was probably my biggest issue. There are also no microwave or refrigerator in the rooms just as an FYI.Walkability: Just a quick walk across the bridge to the downtown district, theater, bars and McMorran areana.

Do yourself a favor and STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE. They are inept at running a hotel. I prepaid for a king suite with water view. When we checked in they gave us keys to the right room, but when we went in SOMEONE’S THINGS WERE ALREADY IN THERE. Thankfully the people weren’t there. I’m sure they probably never knew the hotel let us into their room. This is a HUGE mess up and nobody ever really acknowledged it. They put us into a basic room and even after at least 5 phone calls I still haven’t been refunded for the difference, let alone anything to make up for hassle. Their team has promised multiple times to email me a copy of the refund receipt and I haven’t received that either. At this point I’m sure they’re flat out lying to me and leaving me no option but to get my lawyer involved. DON’T RISK IT, they don’t deserve your money.Safety: Absolutely unsafe. They gave us keys to someone else’s room. They also gave my boyfriend a key to the room in my name, even though he didn’t show identification.

City Flats, Port Huron, MI is an excellent property. It is clean and the staff are very customer service oriented. The rooms and entire location has great style, which leads to a very upscale experience. It has a clean line minimalist look. Our room overlooked the river and had all the amenities, coffee, tea, shower amenities, the bed was comfy and even the hallways are very retro, minimalist. They provide coffee and small danishes for breakfast.The check in is confusing, depending on where you park. Nothing that signage couldn’t help. Staff was very nice while we asked for directions. The entire remodel of this bank bldg. Is so well done. It is in downtown and walking distance to great food, coffee and shopping. Well done Port Huron!Rooms: All needed amenities. Nicely styled.Walkability: Within walking distance of food, shopping, entertainment, and river views.

Perfect location for a day vacation. Super convenient location near everything downtown. The views of the river were great. Only downside is the thin windows when the bridge goes up and down makes for a noisy night. We stayed in Early September on our way to Niagara Falls. Our room was not cleaned. Staff admitted that they had someone quit and were challenged to get things done. Simply gave us a sheet to cover the old sheets that were not cleaned. Many many calls to management regarding this terrible experience have gone unanswered. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. DO NOT STAY HERE.

Loved our hotel room, was super nice and had character. The fluffy duvet and pillows were so comfortable! Drinks at the bar were delicious and decently priced. Great walking location to all downtown bars. The hotel itself is a maze to get through but that kind of added to the fun. Staff were very kind and helpful. Overall really enjoyed our stay

The service was horrible. They kicked my friend and I out during the middle of a business meeting after tipping 20% gratuity and antagonized us the entire way out of the hotel. We did absolutely nothing wrong and claimed a cook said he had dated one of us and was uncomfortable..this was completely untrue as we had never been there before and we will never return. We are calling lawyers as we speak for discriminatory practices and they will not be in business much longer as we have a 7 panel legal team who will get them from their harassment, to every Health code violation in the book.Food & drinks: Service was horrible and ride and the fat bald white man needs to be fired immediately.

My husband and I got married at CityFlatsHotel Port Huron on 02.12.22 and we had a GREAT experience!! All the staff was incredible but I have to give a shout out to Jenny for helping us coordinate our dream day! She answered question after question for me, responds quickly and even the silliest questions were made important. We were so well taken care of, our guests had a blast and LOVED the vault! Everything seemed ā€œeasierā€ than I imagined it would be! From our guests only great things have been relayed to us. We get to be guests in October and I am so excited to experience it in all ways possible! I am also a hairstylist and have worked on location and again as always everyone is so kind! We are local to the area and I must also rave about the restaurants they have to offer! Location has great photo opportunities as well, including the vault, lights downtown, river, and of course the ballroom itself!

BE AWARE PARKING IS OUTRAGEOUS. They tell you parking in the structure connected is $24 for the night which is crazy enough but when we left after being there for less than 24 hours, we were charged $48 dollars for that night of parking. They told us right at the front desk it was 24 so that lie infuriated me. We were also a little early in our arrival so they asked for a phone number to call us when the room is ready, we walked back in a half hour after check in time and we’re told ā€œwe were just about to call youā€ which I don’t believe in the slightest. On top of paying $160 for the smallest room I’ve ever stayed in, bathroom door would fall off tracks every time you open it. Those same bathroom doors leave don’t seal in the wall or anything, so any privacy is non existent. No fridge, no microwave, bar and cafe were closed. Incredibly disappointed with my stay here.

Extremely rude staff. Gabby and my wife got into it after she was left with 18 rooms by herself on hockey weekend. Gabbys mom proceeded to send threatening texts to my wife on Facebook. This place is broke and shady. Management needs an overhaul. My spouse got stuck in an elevator and rather than calling the fire department, let her suffer inside and then do an IR to cover it up. We should’ve sued then. Gabby is the rudest person I’ve ever seen managing or whatever she does in a professional classy establishment.Cafe girls are great. :))
