My friend and I were taking a day trip in the Thumb area. We saw the Bank restaurant and decided to grab a bite of food. The service was great but it's their off season so no one else was there besides us on a Friday early afternoon. The atmosphere was unique. I loved old pictures that hung on the walls. We also went upstairs where you felt you were transported in time. The food was very delicious. We had appetizers, along with soup. I would definitely go back.

A nice spot in Port Austin with a lot of charm and character. We were promptly greeted upon arrival and seated not long after. The ambiance was relaxed and the menu had lots of options. We had the french onion soup and chicken Wellington. Oh and the complimentary bread rolls are very tasty and unique! Service was amazing. The Bank is certainly worth visiting

The service was really good. The restaurant was clean and had an overall good vibe atmosphere. The food was delicious. The clam chowder was amazing with a hint of dill, what a unique touch. The cheese curds were very flavorful. The spinach artichoke dip was good until you tasted the cheese curds, they had so much flavor they made the dip seem bland. The Maurice salad was really good, not as good as Hudson's, but close enough to bring back all those memories. The money reuben was a little light on meat. The vault sauce on the reuben was a neat twist on thousand island and had a little kick. I upgraded to the fries and it was worth it. I also had a Hurricane which was well made. We will be going back again.

I will not be back. The waitress brought her family drama into the bar and was yelling at her adult son and proceeded to complain loudly about him after he left. They also rudely explained how the kitchen staff “is useless and don’t know their jobs”. Honestly felt very awkward sitting at the bar listening to all of the family and workplace drama. While the burger was good, it was over priced for what you get. The two of us spent $90 on two burgers and 4 drinks. Way over priced. Not good. I will say, the bartender was very nice and respectful.

Food and service was decent but the atmosphere is tired. The exterior is cool but inside is cramped. Recommended as the place to eat in Port AUSTIN the experience was a disappointment. Needs some decluttering and TLC.

It's a great stop to check out. The inside and outside seating is nice. Tons of areas for large parties.Food is average. Nothing special nothing horrible 🤷It's a historic spot, so even stop in for a drink, the bar seemed to be the best seating!? 🍻

Ate here 2 times. Food was great, the service was great. Was a little rush 2nd time but that was okay. Will definitely return. Thank you for the good time.

It wasn't bad, food was alright! Not anything super crazy, just food. Building was beautiful, love how they kept the authenticity of the place. My boyfriend and I sat out on the patio, which was very nice, they had seating with and without umbrellas that allowed views of the bustling town. Staff was very friendly and attentive as well!! So a nice place to stop for sure.

When I am at Port Austin, this is one of two places I love to eat at. The specials can be spectacular. The French onion soup is always good and the chicken Wellington is also a favorite.

This was our first visit. It has a nice atmosphere, our server was friendly and attentive. The food was good, on the pricy side. Excellent dessert selection, I would go back for dessert!.Heads up, if wearing a mask in public is important to you beware. Not one employee we saw was wearing mask. They do have signs about wearing masks. Patrons had them on, however, no employees were masked, they also provide hand sanitizer. You might consider calling for a reservation, they asked if we had one when we walked in. Seating outside was nice, even on a hot day like today.

Stopped in for a quick bite and cocktail. I sat at the bar and the atmosphere was nice and the bartender was great. The California Pizza was delicious, very flavorful despite how simple it was, and I loved their take on an Old Fashioned. Expect your wallet to take a beating though.

The shrimp cocktail was delicious. The shrimp were very high quality and the cocktail sauce was amazing. It was very horseradishy, but tasted excellent none the less. Then I got the berry salad, which was amazing. It had pecans, strawberries, blueberries, and mandarin orange slices, along with an amazing raspberry dressing. It was one of the best salads I have ever eaten, and I would definitely come back again. The bathrooms were also very well kept, and didn't smell at all. Nice!

I had the perch, my wife had the chicken Wellington. Both we’re excellent, we came back again before leaving town. (Carry out). I would recommend this establishment for a good meal.

The staff acted as if we were lucky to be served by them. In the early dinner hours, the place was virtually empty. We didn’t even bother to stay for dinner as our drinks were marginal and the service was horrible. I don’t expect miracles but I would think if you are there, they would actually acknowledge you and ask for an order or seat you.

The building itself is pretty neat, as the name suggests, it used to be an old bank and they still have some of what looks like teller windows. However, the food was average, norh hing special and thought prices were a bit high. My husband & I each got a bowl of French Onion soup ($8 for a small bowl) and shared a Ruben sandwich ($10) & fries. Sandwiches range around $10 - $12 and come with chips. If you want to upgrade to fries it is a $2.95 up charge and for that you get just a handful of fries...definitely not $2.95 worth. Hostess seemed stressed and not very friendly and our waitress was really slow on drinks and food, & never offered refills on drinks. We were just traveling through the area, so will probably never be in the area again, but if we were I would pick somewhere else for lunch.

I ordered spinach artichoke dip which was excellent and delicious and I ordered chicken club but the chicken was dry with no taste the bun was hard but the bacon on it is excellent, it came with homemade chips and they were cooked perfectly and excellent chips.Very professional and friendly staff and place inside and outside is clean and so cute. Lots of antiques because of being a bank. My friend ordered the angus cheeseburger and she said it was excellent and cooked perfectly. Very delicious.

Understand it's a tourist town. BUT The food was very overpriced. On there website only their afternoon lunch menu was shown which I thought was their standard menu. If I had known this I would not have went there. For being such a overpriced establishment. I would have expected that the hostess would have had a better dress code instead of a house dress. That a on or off-duty waitress would not been hanging around the outside of the hostess, waitress station jokin around. They're cold beverage refrigeration was in view. I wonder how much they were charging for a glass of Walmart milk?I was a chef by trade. The au gratin potatoes were about the best I can say about the dinner. And they didn't have much taste. When the waitress took my order I did not realize the soup and vegetable was extra for the price I had to pay. I was not informed of an extra charge. The perch dinner was tasteless and greasy. $32 for greasy perch fillets and a baked potato. Soup and vegetable was extra. Brussel sprouts were over sauteed. And in my opinion they had left the outer leaves on the brussels. I have never done because they have a bitter taste which overpowered the dish. But of course restaurants have their own presentation.Next day I went to the Fireside restaurant and had the same dinner for a much lower price. The perch was very tasty and had more fillets.Noticing on more topics they don't even show dinners. What's up with that.? I would have been more happy with an overpriced perch sandwich. Which is listed,. Kind of like a bait-and-switch to me.I worked in five different. I've dined in some of the best restaurants in Buffalo N.Y, Puerto Rico, Miami, Fort Lauderdale. Now again remember this is only one person's opinion. But if you put it out there you better expect to be critiqued!Parking: Just have to get lucky 🍀

We came in for lunch and a drink. The menu wasn't great, we didn't find anything that stood out as something we wanted so we both decided on salads. The salads were good and we would recommend them. We both got the dragonberry mules and they were REALLY good, however, we were a bit surprised when the bill came. Drinks are not cheap at this restaurant.

Chocolate Martini was amazing, I had the grilled cheese panini with fries and my husband had the perch we were both happy with our meals. We also ordered the Santa fe egg rolls the were delicious. Enjoyed the building too.

My wife and I had an excellent date night here. The service was great, and it was a fun experience to be able to dine in a historic building. My wife had the shrimp scampi pasta, and I had the lake perch. The shrimp were large, and the pasta was very good and not oily. The perch was very good, and the tartar sauce tasted like it was scratch made. I would recommend the bank for anyone looking for a night out while in Port Austin.

The staff is very pretentious and judgmental. If, for any reason, they do not like you, you will not get a good table even if you show up before their 5 o’clock dinner hour. We are respectable and planned on shelling out serious cash on our vacation. But suddenly there were no tables. I think that they thought that we, as two women were a couple. Regardless, should that even matter?

Food not so good. Should have sent it back, but did not. I was here before and it wasn't too bad, yet this time not so good. Pricey for the food quality. Will choose somewhere else next time. As you can see everything overcooked.
