The manager at this store is the whole reason why I go there, he actually does a good job and he's not rude. Everybody there is nice unlike the horrible location on University drive and the one on Walton boulevard.. now those two stores should be avoided at all costs and are being ran by hoodrats. I live behind the Dollar general on University and I still choose to drive all the way to this one because it's that much better and you don't have to deal with any drug dealing and these people treating it like it's their own hangout instead of a workplace

The store is clean and well organized. The employees were all nice. It was easy to find everything I needed. I love being able to use my coupons here. They are always helpful in making sure I get them correct. It is getting more food items and they are low costing.

I go to this dollar general often because I drive by it everyday taking my sister to therapy. They are usually out of alot of things, but I really like the staff. I have been going here for years and I know most of them fairly well.

If I could give zero stars I would the cashiers are rude and smart mouthed when I began a conversation. I then asked to speak to a manager and was ignored . Shelves are blocked off because the shelves aren’t being stocked it’s constantly messy and smells in the store it’s sad to see from an establishment so big .

Went in today to TRY and get some good deals and I couldn't even walk through some of the aisles. This store is a fire hazard. Everything was super unorganized; shelves were a mess, tons and tons of boxes laying all over the place, items were literallyjust thrown wherever there was room for them. I couldn't handle it. I walked in, did a walk around, and walked right out. This place is a wreck. I get that many stores are super understaffed but this was beyond just being understaffed. Hopefully this store can get in order cause it looks like a newer location and it would be super convenient since it is so close but as of now, looks like I won't be returning.

When I lived in the area previously (April 2021-March 2022) this location was under different management. I'm in a wheelchair due to being struck by a truck when I was 18 and having MS (Multiple Sclerosis) and I cannot walk. The previous management kept the aisles accessible and easy to manuever, making it the only fully accessible convenience style store within 6 miles, which is crucial to me as I lack a lot of independence in my life and being able to shop for myself brings me a lot of joy. I moved back to the area in April 2023, and unfortunately the new management, although the aisles are shaped to do so, doesn't keep the store wheelchair accessible. My husband now does most of our shopping which leaves me feeling useless and dependent. I would have continued dealing with it, if I had not gone in today, with the full expectation of spending roughly $30 on different things we needed, to find that the aisle that I needed in particular had been completely blocked off. I brought this the the attention of the woman stocking and she immediately had an attitude, saying nothing could be done because they just had a truck come in (I only needed 1 cart moved to open up a way down) she huffed at me, and asked what I wanted. Since it was multiple things, I decided to leave. Another customer said she was sorry I experienced this as I was leaving and I said "well I was about to spend $30, I guess they didn't want it."I'm not someone who normally boycotts, nor am I trying to act like a Karen, however, I wish more stores understood that it's difficult enough being stuck in a wheelchair, we don't need employees limiting out already small bit of independence, or having an attitude with us when we point it out. If you're in a wheelchair, if it is possible for you, I suggest finding a different location or store for your convenience needs, as there is nothing convenient about this store anymore.

The new manager is doing a great job the store looks better and is actually open when its supposed to beYour store in Pontiac Mi. on Caesar Chavez is the worst store I have been in a long time it never is stocked all the stock is stacked thru out the store and then the cashiers pick and choose which custoner needs they want to meet and if they don't like helping you they will say our manager don't want us doing that and then be all smug about it you never know if they are going to be open when you go it's a 50/50 chance the door could be locked and the store closed during hours they should be open don't waste your time trying this store do yourself a favor and go anywhere but there2-15-24. The new manager is doing a fantastic job they still have some trouble getting stock put up but it is so much better then what it use to be at least you can ask the manager of they have something if you can't find it and he can tell you right where it is or get it for you only ,one issue is that online it said they load cash app cards there but for some reason this store will not I'm not sure why that is it's frustrating though , but the store has come a long way keep up the good work and please start loading cash app cards even the cash app site says that you can load them at dollar general

Good selection for well priced over the counter meds, but it seems like some items are close if not more expensive than in regular grocery stores. But definitely recommend them for their dollar isle for some items for groceries. That said over other "dollar stores" (although dollar general isn't a true dollar store), this ones seems to be a good one even though most things aren't a dollar...

It was my 1st time there and I Loved it. Great prices, great location. Excellent customer service! Shout out to the young lady that helped me find the deodorant! She was genuinely helpful and sweet! Her uniform was tidy & her hair was styled nicely. Professional!Also, The gentleman at checkout was very polite and place my receipt and change in my hand. Very attentive and professional! I'd give them both a bonus if I could! I'm definitely making that store my new main store!

Went here a few days ago. They were closed. I have been here a few times when in the neighborhood. The store is very very junky and disorganized. Every time i have been there i only see one employee doing various jobs throughout the store. Nice location big empty parking lot. Problem-- corporate needs to raise salaries so people don't feel ashamed embarrassed or angry working at dollar general.

This place is a dump. There was stuff all over the floors. Boxes of product tipped over and stuff just spewing out. I just couldn't believe the mess that this store was in. Clearly the employees are NOT doing there job.

Newer store. Very in organized. News management to do a clean sweep. Materials not on shelves. Still in crates/ boxes. Short Staffed...all the time. Other dollar generals are full with items but their isles aren't clustered. Sorry for Future costumers. Maybe nobody cares about inner city stores.

This place does not have set hours. The doors are locked at random times throughout the day. This store is cash only and does not have an atm. It's also very dirty and unorganized. They need to get more staff in there.
