We stopped in for a little snack and we were not disappointed. This is Michigans oldest cheese shop starting in 1939 ( according to his he sign). We got the horseradish cheese spread, butter crackers, mozzarella, and a Towne Club root-beer. It was all very yummy. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The store is very clean and restrooms were clean as well.

Nice selection of aged cheeses, wine, and many other unique items. Friendly staff and Wilson's supports local events. A must stop on the way up north and in the way home to stock up!

They have just about everything in different cheese 🧀 types. Huge selection of fresh canned vegetables too! Was excited about the caraway cheese, and the variety packs. Staff was very pleasant and helpful 😊 🙂 I look forward to my next visit.

Absolutely love this palace, first time here last week and again this week remind you I live 2 hours away. The staff is so nice and helpful. Bought the perogies for the first time very good and are a large size.

We stopped here on the way back from theUpper Peninsula. The cheese selection is amazing and there is so much more than cheese: wine, souvenirs, snacks, gifts, and all types of specialty food items. It’s a quick jaunt off and back on to I-75.

I hadn’t been here in decades. We were visiting friends in the Detroit area and decided to take the long way home via kawkawlin and Pinconning. Family favorites from days long ago. Wilson’s cheese shoppe did not disappoint. It is every bit as good as it was many moons ago. Love adding photos to my reviews but was so bummed out we missed the Turkey Roost by an hour, (closed for winter break) I didn’t take any pictures here. Cheese selection is awesome and they have the best selection of Michigan souvenirs. Mugs, wine glasses, socks! And the big mouse is still outside. Go! It’s definitely worth the stop.

Great store. So many choices of great cheeses and jerky. There is fudge and clothing items and the candy section takes me back to the 80's. Super cool store!! 100% recommend

Always such a great selection of cheeses, meats, snacks and baked goods! Grabbed some curds for the road and some spreads for when we get home. We always stop here as we pass Pinconning and make sure to grab a photo 🧀🐀

I love this place. Probably one of my favorite places on the sunrise side. They have some good stuff besides the cheese, but I’m all about the Extra Sharp Pinconning cut off the block. Get a little more than you think you need because it’ll be hard to stop yourself once you start munching on it.

Wilson has an assortment of cheeses wines local whiskey jams spices jerkys and candy. Assortment of delicious cheeses they are willing to allow you to sample before you purchase which is just awesome... tried their ghost pepper cheese Yeh! Go hotter at your own risk! and Wilson's has it! Scorpion pepper... Im getting sweaty just writing about it! As far as normal cheese experiences go I left with a bag full of great choices from cracked pepper cheddar, smoked bacon, pepperoni cheddar, Smoked Gouda.

Went in on a Sunday morning to cure a hankering for some delicious cheese and as they always have. Wilson's delivered. Would've been a 5 star review but after we got home we discovered that a bag of coffee that we bought was already 3 months beyond it's best by date.

Excellent cheese varieties, drove 100 plus miles just for the morel leek cheese. Went home with several specialty cheeses and wine ( great variety of Michigan wines). Friendly , helpful staff.

I grew up on pinconing cheese downstate in Harperwoods Michigan when my mom would specifically buy the pinconing cheese at the store to stuff a chunk in the middle of each of her stuffed peppers. That was over 30 years ago. I now live in Chicago and was in the area. I knew I just had to stop here and get some to make my own peppers when I get home. Staff is very friendly and you can ask for samples as they have different sharpness of the famous cheese. They offer different cracker cheese spreads and flavors of cheeses among other items. Great place to stop for local honey, maple syrup too.

Don't you dare go to the cheese shop next to the highway. Drive to extra 3 miles to the best, original and only cheese shop- Wilson's . My favorite for the last 50 years and I intend to keep going! Ask for a chunk of squeaky cheese and live your best life

Large selection of vintage items. I purchased hand dipped Maple-Walnut icecream and found cinnamon toothpicks at checkout. I would give 5 stars but there was a strong odor, possibly mothballs, in the main store. I would have stayed longer but couldn't because of that smell. The employees were delightful.

It's definitely a lot better than the cheese house right off the expressway. I'm glad I drove into town to check it out. They did want $35 for a pound of beef jerky, though, which was a bit extreme.. Everything else was priced very fairly, and we ended up filling our arms full of new things to try! The bathroom stalls don't have locks on them, which was a little uncomfortable.

Stopped in for some of their Pinconning cheese and couldn't find the cheese until I saw the cheese wheel cutting area where they cut it to order off the wheel for you! How cool is that? The guy that helped me was really cool and the cheese is awesome....as expected. Great place to stop and even go out of your way a bit for.

Great customer service, great selection of cheese. Cheese spreads jerky meats, smoked fish and don't forget crackers and chips, and now they have a ton of Michigan swag, love this place. We've been stopping in for years and they are getting even better.

This is a family favorite. Diverse selection for a cozy mom and pop shop! Favorites include Canadian cheddar, garlic and feta dip, and cheese nibbles- delish! Great wine selection as well.They also have a really cool collection of Michigan inspired clothing. Not your typical cheesy tourist stuff. A must for any tawas bound fishing trip ;)

I specifically asked for "Squeaky Cheese" the idiot who waited on me swore the yellow wheel of stuff was "sqeaky" I asked twice to be sure. I ended up with $10 of mild cheddar that I did NOT want. Won't even try them again. Just order online from someone who knows what they are selling.

Wilson's makes the best cheese! Cute little store and gift shop, fun to browse. They have a huge selection of cheese and cheese products, among other items for sale. The curds are delicious!
