My experience is always excellent. Always try to work you in if possible. My dog Sasha is never afraid to go, they are so gentle with her. She is a tea cup Yorkie with a bad hip. I live in Alpena and drive to Petoskey to have her groomed and they are worth the drive to take her there.

Never seems to have time for a 3 min. Nail trim. Frustrating especially for a walk in. The last 3 times I actually felt that we were a burden. We have been going for over 2 years now (prices are cheap) and still is not personable with us or our dog. Trying a new place unfortunately.

We can't thank them enough for always taking great care of our dog's (and of course, us). We get our dog's hair and nails trimmed and they come out looking great everytime. Always on time, always great service and would highly recommend.

I looked at a lot of reviews, but wags and purrs had the best reviews. My pooches looked and I'm sure felt better. I told her about the special needs of my elder pups. She took great care and my pups are very happy now. Thank you so much. I definitely will be back.

Not a happy puppy parent! It was my puppys first groom and it will be the last there! Not friendly or personable at all. He was licking when we got home to find out he was bleeding where he had been neutered and into further investigation he was knicked pretty good there and also had another raw spot there. Its been a couple weeks now and it has finally scabbed up and he has stopped licking. He has razor burns under his pits and has been acting so differently since he has been there. I had a bad feeling and should have trusted it. He will NOT go back. I really wonder how she treated my pup when he was there for him to act so differently and timid.. Trying to get him comfortable with me even brushing him again. I wouldn't even give this place 1 star but there is not a zero. Dont understand why this place has a high rating. 0 rating for me.

We have taken our Bichon (Remy) to Emily since he was a pup for 12 years. The last 2 years he had cancer and Emily took such good care of him. We appreciate all you did for him Emily. He always looked so handsome when he came to see you. I’m sorry to say Remy passed in Jan 😭. But if your looking for a great place to take your fur babies, give Wags & Purrs a call! ❤️

Had or dog in for her first summer cut. She is a lab setter mix with long hair. They did a really nice job. She looks great! The price was very reasonable. We'll be back again for sure!

They are dog whisperers! The only place in the area that can handle my dog who is not aggressive, but anxious getting his nails done, etc. They make the animals feel so secure here, he doesn't have any issues here. He loves Wags and Purrs and you will too!

We were vacationing in the area and needed to board our dog for the day while we went to Mackinac Island. We originally were going to use another local boarder, but they overbooked and we were out of a spot. We called Wags and Purrs in desperation. They were so kind! Our golden retriever had a great time and our special day was saved. We will definitely use them again when we come to the area. Had dog groomed there 1 week ago and now has kennel cough, found out from vet they have been having a issue with it for over a month and not notifying people or clearly taking the steps to sanitize and clean properly.
