Thanks for letting me know what time you close cashier. I’m a contractor, so my issue is not loading the materials, but I get a little upset when I’ve been working all day and I come in the store with over an hour till they close. Yes I had a list of items. But according to my receipt, my items were paid for at the contractor check out and I started loading at 8:29. Now as I load my 4 carts of stuff, and time ticks on, the cashier asked me if I was gonna be done because they close at 9! Not can I get you some help, or I haven’t had a customer since you and I’m just pacing in here waiting for 9. I don’t know when Home Depot stopped offering customer service. But when I worked there years ago, I would have been fired for that. I get that the employees have a life outside of Home Depot. But had they just been a little more willing to help, I would have been outta there by 8:45. Instead she locked that door while I finished loading the drywall I got And I pulled away at 9:06… Hope I didn’t disturb her evening. Not impressed with this trip.

We had a lovely older gentleman named Roger helping us. We ran him all over his department and not once did he make it seem like we were inconveniencing him. He was cracking jokes and he admired my 8 month old for a while. He was efficient and extremely knowledgeable on everything we asked him! Such a sweet man. He made shopping for a home improvement project more enjoyable!

We will never buy carpet from home depot again! Took 3 months from measuring the house to final installation! Incredible!! Lowe's will be getting all of our business from now on!!!

I really don't like these stores. The blue ones either. Today i got a drain for my sink. I got one of the nicer ones about 40 bucks. Got home opened it up only to find someone had replaced it with a cheap Kohler one that wouldn't even fit my sink. Box looked completely new, but it wasn't even the same brand. The associates never know what they are talking about and always try to send me home with the wrong parts/sizes.

The Home Depot is my go to place.We did most all the cabinets, carpet, Appliances, toilets, tile, flooring, gutters, garage doors, front door, ceiling fans, light fixtures, etc. on a new house.Home Depot had quality products at competitive prices. The kitchen and flooring people do a great job.Home Depot has met or exceeded my expectations for products, price, availability, service in most every purchase.I can say that in 16 years and many many purchases they have only let me down once.That was on our new house complete carpet installation that was done poorly and the installation plan contained many seams and small pieces to save on carpet waste. Sadly the seams were poorly done and repeatedly unraveled when vacuumed. Also the pattern of the carpet made it obvious that it was installed crooked to the room.This situation was holding up the ability to occupy our new house and I settled for an adjustment to the purchase price rather than waiting a month for them to rip it all out and do it over. (Which they were willing to do). I took the price adjustment as we needed to move in to our new house and had no choice.It turned out to be a bad decision as the seams could not be vacuumed over without pulling yarn and unraveling yards of it. This required a carpet repairman to do a repair/ replace the yarn to hide the seams that had the pulled out yarn This vacuuming damage and repair process has been our SOP with this carpet.

Good store with lots of stuff to look at, love the Milwaukee aisle, spent way too much money in there. 😂😂 The people in there are are all friendly. There was a younger guy in the power tool aisle this morning (12-14-23) was very helpful. Didn't catch his name. Didn't have a Milwaukee M12 jigsaw I wanted on the shelf so he stopped what he was doing to go grab one out of back stock for me. Also helped me with a bunch of other stuff today. Very impressed with the staff lately. A lot better in years past.

Went to buy paint for the first time and felt silly asking questions. The gentleman at the counter (I didn’t catch his name, it was on 8-21in the afternoon) was kind, patient and informative and helped me get everything I needed with confidence. The gentleman at check out was very friendly as well.

My Kitchen cabinet order was not good. The cabinets were not there when the Home Depot system said they were (wasted trips) and when we opened them about 1/2 the cabinets were damaged in the box. Taking it all back and canceling the order. Staff was helpful.

I picked up flooring and for some weird reason two different workers were eating behind the counter while helping me and others. They didn’t even try to hide their food. Just kept eating. I’m truly fascinated that two different workers thought this was acceptable. Where is the guest service training? Also, are sweat pants part of the uniform?

Total lack of accountability. Was supposed to have a freezer delivered today. Never happened "unfortunately we have no control with your online order" "we don't deliver, it's a company that delivers" zero attempt to even sound interested in helping with the issue. I have been aloyal customer for many years, but that is definitely going to change.

This is by far the best Home Depot I have shopped at. Customer service is absolutely top notch. During just one trip I was asked at least ten times how I was doing and if I needed any help finding anything. A special thanks to Big Ed for not only helping me solve my problem and suggesting a better idea, but going far out of his way to find me a solution to my problem and walk me through the best options. Hats off management at this store for hiring some great people. 👍👍

It's crazy the experience I've had here over the last 5 years. I've gone to other home Depot stores ( not in Petoskey) and been so friggin dissatisfied. This store in particular must have excellent managers. Every single staff member is helpful and friendly. There's one guy in plumbing that's sub par. But if your there on a day Angie is working you'll be more then delighted. I don't know how they keep such a great team here , but it's impressive! I've spent $50k + in this store and if I've been in the store 100 times, I've walked out happy 99 times ( like I said the one guy in plumbing that's tall old black hair) other then that guy lol, always a pleasure to be here!

This store has the best staff. Give the newbies a break and have them come with you to find the experienced staff when they can't tell you off the top of their head where the item is that you are looking for. The people who have been there know where things are and the new hires can learn where they are with you. Everyone at this store is either experienced or eager to learn.

This place has horrible customer service. We were wanting to purchase a $400 outdoor patio table. After looking for help, I found an associate. He told me to go to the service department and call for someone. He was too busy eating his candy bar to even go to the service department with me or assist me further. What a joke of a store.

Visit this Home Depot at least once a week, and Linda from customer service is always so helpful and a joy to see. She's always smiling and doesn't make you feel rushed or that you're bothering her in any way. You can tell she enjoys her job and goes above and beyond for her customers. She helped me with a bad experience that I had at the Home Depot in Gaylord. Thank you Linda!!!

Update - They contacted me to review my experience, I told them how I thought the experience went and now they won't respond. I would highly recommend finding someone else who will actually put some customer satisfaction into the equation.Do not buy flooring from these people they screwed up the measurements and wouldn't stand behind the people they hired to do the work and took almost 3 Months to get the carpet installed after I had already waited 2 months to get them there the 1st time. This is by far been one of the worst experiences I've ever had dealing with a contractor save yourself the time and go to one of the local stores.
