Absolutely amazing Customer service!!!!! I had ordered from the online store a harness that I couldn’t find anywhere else for the ruffwear Omni-jor harness. A couple days later they called and said it was not in stock and they were going to cancel my order. I said OK no problem it seems to be a unicorn item right now because it’s sold out everywhere! Well… Over a month later Gary remembered me as they were going through their stuff for their sidewalk sale and they found the harness in their sock, so he called me right away and completed the order!!! Amazing he remembered and so thankful! Red dog will be thrilled that he doesn’t have to borrow his brothers too big harness anymore!

Gary was extremely helpful. Our Sheepadoodle had abrasions between his paw pads and he recommended a wax to try before purchasing boots. He also gave us some booties to use while his paws are healing.

Whenever we vacation we look to support a locally owned pet store and a local bookseller. What a wonderful find as we visited Ruff Life in Petosky today! The moment we walked in the owners made it rain treatos for our Cockapoo Linus and the other doggos that came in. We had fun the whole time we were in the shop. Thank you for the wonderful experience and the beautiful new bandana! Support this outstanding small business!

Both of the guys who work here were extremely helpful and friendly. Picked up some food toppers and snacks for my pups and they loved it. Everything I saw was sourced in the States and very few ingredients for healthier dogs. Will absolutely go again when back in town.

We are from down state up in Indian river for a camping trip. My dog decided to chase a squirrel while on her lead and snapped her collar in half. They were so helpful and led me to a wonderful leather collar for my pup. Thanks guys!

This is by far the best pet store! The owners are very personable and friendly, they go above and beyond to make sure you are taken care of and give good advice. We sadly live down state and can't visit as much as we like but everytime we come we are always welcomed. We really appreciate these guys efforts and hard work for us humans and our pets! This is a fantastic place to supply your dog needs, learn things and generally hang out with other awesome dog owning community! I was so impressed with the care, the staff took with finding out our families needs, and then helping present options and knowledge to go with it. Huge selection of quality items at fair prices. Very impressed by the quality and range of pet items this store stocks. We stopped in, within 5 minutes of them closing, to make a quick purchase, and they made us feel entirely welcome and encouraged us to enjoy looking around. The store was well organized, very clean, and fun to explore. Bonus: while we were there we met four very friendly dogs also out running errands!

Really awesome pet supply store with amazing staff! I really enjoyed stopping here on our trip to Petoskey. I was looking for a brush to groom my long coat Akita and the staff recommended the most amazing grooming gloves! I tried using them on my dog and she loved every second! And the amount of hair I got off her was incredible! I was a skeptic now I am a believer! Stop in here when you are in town, your pooch will thank you!!

Owners and staff were the nicest people I’ve ever met! Not only was it a nice place to get pet supplies that was all very reasonably priced, they also gave us information on where to take our dog while we were visiting Petoskey. Will definitely come back to on our next visit!

All I wanted to buy was a ball for my dog and I to go play at the beach. The owner required a mask, which is fine but I just asked him if I could wait outside and buy a ball, to which he responded we have balls for sale. I asked if I could hand him my CC and buy a ball but he responded with you'll have to wear a mask and come inside. I'm not allowed, by law, to wear a mask so I ended up going to a large chain store to make my purchase. I would much rather support the small community stores but couldn't. Hopefully they read this and try to make it easier for people who aren't allowed to wear masks to purchase from them.

I've been visiting Petoskey my whole life and this has become one of my favorite stops since becoming a dog owner. The people here treat you like family and they always try to remember you and your dogs names. The awesome brands got us in the door but the atmosphere has made us return again and again!

We will never spend another cent at this place. We prefer to spend our money at all the local privately owned businesses and support our community, and we have shopped here many times before. Never again. To be treated and humiliated in such a manner by one of the the rude gentleman that run this shop. You want to belittle people over mask violations while your employees are guilty of the same exact thing? I will never shop here again and I will definitely recommend to friends and family to take their business elsewhere.

Immediately upon walking into this store the owner attacked my husband and I about wearing a mask, which we both were wearing. Customers who entered behind us also were abruptly told to have their masks on and they had to be worn properly with NO EXCEPTIONS! He was so rude we walked out of the store. We are dog owners and spend quite a bit of money on our dachshund. We had intentions of finding her something here. Being from out of town this is the second place in which store owners in this town were rude. We won't be returning to Petoskey.

When you want a local business that cares and puts forth an effort, look no further than this place. Insanely courteous greeting and talkative banter from the staff when you walk in. Once I asked what I was looking for, they showed me a variety of products, and not just the expensive stuff, either. Turns out, the dog boots I was looking for were not the right size, so they exchanged them today for my mom when she went into the store. You may pay a little more here, but I assure you, keeping places like this is business is important, so throw them your business and fetch yourself some good feels!

Every time I go into the store everyone is so friendly and they remember you (well at least your dog) haha. So incredibly helpful with answering questions or ordering specific things for your dog. Truly an amazing store to have in the area.

One of our favorite spots when we're in town. Great toys, food, treats, clothes, accessories, and everything in between for your pup. Owners are a hoot too, and the shop dog Jack is a sweetheart.
