They have a lot of stuff you can't find anywhere else. I like looking at the Stihl section. However I did notice that if you're a younger male or a female, they don't give you the time of day. And when you ask for help they treat you like you don't know what you're talking about.

Outstanding customer service. I had been to this store a handful of times before and have always been impressed with the product selection and service, but after a recent home purchase close by, now I know for sure it can’t be beat. Several trips within a few days for the never ending projects and each trip was somehow better than the one before. We are in love with the Benjamin Moore paint and so grateful to Will for all his help with getting it. And we found everything we needed for every other project too (from floor leveler, to wood shims, to washing machine drains, and on and on. If you think they might carry it, the probably do… and someone kind and patient will help you find it!

Another downtown staple in Petoskey. Need a can of spray paint? They have it! Need a new dish drainer for your sink? Of course. Need a beautiful new serving dish? Huge selection. I can’t remember a time when Meyer did NOT have what I needed, from a bike lock, house numbers, plant fertilizer, propane gas, canning jars, single nuts, screws, and bolts, flag holder, door mat, so much more. It’s better than any big box, and it’s right in the middle of town.

A bit more expensive than home depot for some items. Competitive pricing with other items. They have a different selection of items you can't find easily elsewhere. Hardware section is superb. Customer service is excellent.

Wow, the folks at this store are helpful! My wife and I stopped by for bike locks and got in/out very quickly thanks to fast, friendly service. We were impressed and will definitely come again if we need anything at all.

This place is a family owned business that's been in the area for 50 years. The owner just helped me attach my cargo box to the cross bars - using crazy little work around a for an hour in the parking lot! If you have a need for anything check here before you visit the big chains in the area. This place and these people are legit. I am so grateful!

Went to the store today looking for a thermalcouple for my pellet stove and the man that 'greeted' me at the door insisted I had no idea what I had in my hand or what I was talking about. Instead of listening to me he insisted I was wrong and wanted to walk me down an isle to prove to that to me. I had called in advance before driving to the store know exactly what I needed and every store in 20 miles recommended them. I knew exactly what I needed had he only listened to me.

As a business owner in the area, I used to spend thousands of dollars in this store annually and on occasion I'd spend over two thousand dollars in one trip. Over the past few years this has been changing. Service went way down and nobody seems to care anymore. In my last trip to this store I was confronted by a tiny little man with a big chip on his shoulder. I am not able to wear a mask and this was unexceptionable to him and he told me to get out of the store. This is a direct violation of the law and I was extremely angry. I've had issues in other stores but they followed the law and accommodated me by getting what I needed for me and bringing it out to me. This little man just had a huge fit and kicked me out and the other staff member in the area at the time was very rude as well with parting comments. Neither of these people were wearing their masks properly and it was absolutely ridiculous. I was there to purchase a unit that costs $1,800 and I would have bought extra chains and equipment to go with it. Now I'll never be a customer again. Congratulations Ace Hardware you lost multiple customers over this as I will no longer be bringing my employees in with me to get equipment either.

Made my first saw purchase today. I was very impressed they fuled up and test ran the saw. Then went above and beyond and made a small carburetor adjustment to make sure it was running perfect before I took it home. Let's see an online retailer do that. Great customer service. You can buy local..👍

This is the place with the helpful hardware folks! I was only in the store for about 15 minutes and mostly just browsing but probably had 10 different employees ask if I needed any help! I ended up overspending as usual because I end up finding cool stuff that I “need” but it’s easier to navigate than most hardware stores and the employees are friendly and helpful!

Awesome hardware store. Bitchin' selection of chain saws and a bunchnof other stuff I didn't care about that day. And best of all they had a great sale on RV antifreeze. I bought a case and so did my father-in-law. We winterized like wild men! Thanks ACE!

This hardware is locally owned,fairly priced to big box stores, the staff is over the top friendly and helpful. Awesome place to go if you need repairs to lawnmower or snowblower. They know what they are doing!

They have an ok selection and an ok price. I've been to better and worse age hardware stores.I would definitely cross shop this with tractor supply right down the road. A lot of the things they have are cheaper there and vice versa.People are friendly, and they have an onsite small motor repair center and a pretty good catalog of replacement parts for mowers, weed whackers, chain saws, etc

Parts counter guy was rude said he was having a hectic day already , this was at 9:am he said they stock the parts I needed for my lawn mower but he couldn't find the parts on the shelf. This guy was clearly not ready for customers this morning. I went to tractor supply and they had everything I needed in stock. Hope the guy at ace hardware starts having a better day.

The service department is unbelievably slow and not very helpful at all. The older gentlemen that has been working there for years is nothing but rude everytime I am in there. He acts like he is helpless and can't find any parts for you unless you have a part number even on stuff they sell. No effort to go the extra mile for a customer.

Nice place, I enjoy this particular Meyer Ace, it has really helpful employees. There’s two sections make sure you don’t miss the section in the back if you’re looking for something. Meyer Ace always has plenty of stuff for all of your tool needs, camping stuff, an automotive section, and many things for any other kind of project you could think of.

This Location Is very rude over their mask Policy. Becky will verbally assault you as you try to leave peacefully. Probably not a smart way to treat contractors. Becky is the rudest cashier If have ever seen. I will never be back. Sad because I love the Ace Hardware brand.
