Cody, was the best employee I’ve ever had a shopping experience with. He treated my group like we were friends and made jokes with us as we browsed. Very informative of the guns on display. Very knowledgeable, funny and an all around great employee.

Since their remodel the store seems very crowded. The shoe department is gone replaced with tight aisles. The main entrance inside seems, for lack of a better term, shabby. I'm glad the store is there but the experience is not nearly as nice as it used to be.

we bought a fishing pole yesterday and we were having a hard time lining it. we went back today without our receipt and the manager found our order in the system and gave us a refund with no problem. 10/10 service, they easily could’ve told us because we didn’t have our receipt on us we couldn’t do anything about it but they went out of their way to help. thanks staff!

Really disappointed in the store mgmt. To be fair I was trying to return a clothing item (that was the wrong size) that I’d purchased 61 days ago while the return policy is 60 days. I was actually trying to purchase additional items and apply the credit. But the manager told me he couldn’t do the exchange. Instead of accepting an exchange that would have resulted in more revenue/more profit for the store (not to mention a happy customer) the manager declined, resulting in lower revenue and an unhappy customer. Needless to say, I’ll not be shopping there any more. Hope they can think through their decisions better, for their own sake.

It's more and more difficult to spend money here every time I walk through their doors. Received a gift from an in-law that was purchase here several days before. Wanted to exchange it for the correct size and was told they will only credit for the value at which the item was sold for in the last 60 days, which ended up being half the value. No sale or promo on the item, which made it feel as if they lied to my face, and this is the second time they've pulled this nonsense. Dunham's is no longer the on the list of local places to buy outdoor gear. Disappointing given the fact they can see, through their rewards program, how much I've spent with them over the years.

If possible would rate lower. We started our vacation buying all new gear in the Petoskey Michigan store head to toe. After two days the lining at the fingers for the gloves tore. I brought them back to swap out for another pair being only two days old. They do not return/exchange anything used is what the manager told the cashier. Did not even come up to talk with me about it. What a complete joke.

Helpful, A lot of products was on the ground and placed everywhere. A lot of the sale items were also very much not taken care of and hanging off its hangers.The state of the place was clean for most part but the product kind of being thrown around kind of off put me bit from picking through certain racks.

Customer service was awful. Not one employee in sight to help with what I needed. I followed the “manager” to his office to ask if he could send someone to help me, and after 10 minutes of waiting I left. If you can get what you need ANYWHERE else, do so!

Meh. Store feels dirty, dingy, and is not well lit. Service is hit or miss. Today we wandered the store a few times looking for knee pads, but no one was available to help. Last week we had help trying on rollerblades and the guy was super nice. Wish the store was more organized so staff can easily give directions to get the stuff you need.

Been in this store multiple times over multiple years. It's the same or worse Everytime.The Petoskey store is outdated and dingy to say the least. Leaking non working a/c in summer. Cold in winter. It's one of the worst interiors in a retail store in all of northern Miwith a staff that's is clearly not happy to be there. It's shocking they still carry name brands. Seemingly this place holding on by a thread.It took me 10 minutes to find an item because the cash registers are manned by people who don't know the store and there's no one to be found in the different departments. And when you do find someone they seem irritated to help you.

I was there looking for a few camping /hunting items and to check out the rest of the store in Petoskey. I hadn't been to that one and sometimes different locations have different things. After a while (15 minutes) I found what I was looking for ;not the best price I'd seen but reasonable. I started looking through the firearms and saw 2 rifles that I had had my eye on for a bit and wanted to check them out. I looked for ANYONE to help me out but the only person was a kid behind the register handling other customers. I didn't feel like putting more effort in so I left. Not a huge deal but definitely not good customer service.

This company displays discriminatory practices. I came in to purchase myself a rifle. I inquired on specifics of the firearm and pricing so I could consult with my husband on choosing the proper features as well as ensure fair pricing. The store Clerk acted bizarre and said he wouldn’t sell me a gun because he “thought” my purchase was for my husband. I professed it was my gun. They allowed me to pay for it but wouldn’t let me leave with it and required my husband to come back to the store and be the official purchaser. They allowed him to finalize the purchase the next day with no questions asked. It is concerning that a person with no common sense or logic works in firearm sales. This store violated their own policy (not federal law) by selling my husband a firearm I repeatedly told them was mine and appears to not like to sell firearms to women.

I recently purchased a GSG 16 from Dunhams for my son's birthday and it hasn't fired right since I got it out of the box. No return policy so very upsetting. Come to find out this gun has had problems and they still sell it.

Dunham’s seems like there is very little staff working. But, the staff they have works hard and the store is full product. It is organized and the staff is very helpful. If you have a AAA card you can get discounts on full priced items too. 😀

I've always loved Dunhams. Great for golf, guns and outdoor gear. It's got nice variety and also a good variety of good better best items. You can get cheap stuff or high end stuff. Good staff. They usually know where things are if you ask them. Been a staple store in petoskey forever and has outlasted most other stores!

Drove all the way there for a special on ammo. I get there talk to two different people on in the gun section and they don't know what I am talking about. So I decided I must be wrong. I get home and have an Email flyer stating the sale was today. Waste of my time and gas. Not happy at all.

Called ahead to see if they carried a specific product. A woman informed me they surely did. Get to the store to find out they actually do not have said product. I drove 1 hour round trip for nothing. Totally unacceptable. I will never return which is unfortunate because they do have a great selection of clothing/golf supplies. Makes sense though, Dunham's is a failing company and it starts with customer service.

Despicable customer service! My husband was shopping for work boots and when he found a pair he liked he pulled the other boot out of the box to try them on of course. One boot was a size 11.5 and the other boot was a 9.5. We asked Dennis (the shoe dept.guy) if he would check for a pair in the back both being size 11.5. He rudely told us he doesnt have time to go in the back to look for boots. We will not spend our money at this location until the current staff is fired and customer oriented staff are hired.

Went to Dunhams only because of the advertised Lined Sherpa Hoodies for $14.99. After spending quite awhile looking for them I asked staff and was told "oh we don't put those out for another 3 weeks or so". I said "but it is the advertised special for this week" and they again said "we don't put them out for another 3 weeks. Deeply disgusted

Bought a firearm. Stood at the counter for 3 minutes before the guy greeted me, Guy seemed like he had better things to do. No hellos or goodbyes. I avoid Dunhams unless absolutely necessary.....

If I was able to give no stars I would. My boyfriend an I got a diamond bow an arrow from Dunham’s an he only shot it one time an didn’t feel safe with it. We went to take it back today 6/3/2019 an this young man running the register between 2:00 an 2:30 ish called for a manger we waited for the manger as we step out of line so this young man can help the other people behind us. The manger gets up front an ask if it was shot my boyfriend said yes one time an he looks at my boyfriend an said we won’t take it back. I’m sorry but it wasn’t safe for us to keep it. I hope something is done about this manger or the “policy“.

The bathroom was discussing. It looked like it hadn't been clean for a week and there was no toilet paper. Not enough help. The 2 checkouts available and the checkout girl at one put up a closed sign even though the line on the other checkout was 8 poeple waiting and the guy at that checkout took her sign down so she could wait on people.
