Very clean store with nice staff. Prices are higher, but it’s a small town grocery store, so that should be expected! I save my money in convenience of not having to drive 20-25 minutes to a chain store. Good quality produce also, which isn’t always the case with small town stores. Awesome meat too!

Just bought breakfast sausage there yesterday. Go to cook it this morning. Wouldn't ya know. It's moldy. Buyer beware!!! Mom and pop stores need to try harder. It's not just the prices that scare people away. It's usually poor quality.

There are a lot of choices, but it smells a little funny in the store. Nice cashiers and no problems checking out. Good store to go to.

I only take my pop cans here. And that's getting to be more of a hassle, cause the machine is always rejecting the can. And clean up the area where you have to put your hands in, both areas.. in talking about the can rejection area. Feel like I'm in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, putting my hand in a slimy bug infested slot to get my can back. And recently they refused to accept the extra cans refused by the machine, brands they accept.

This is the closest store to my house. I try to avoid the place, but will go here if necessary. Always make sure you get a receipt because things do go bad and are not properly handled in the store. I've had unopened milk go bad before the expiration, chunky laundry softener on separate occasions. You will pay top dollar here as well. They also mark down products, but you have to make sure to check the date because they sell expired products and sometimes they are weeks or months after expiration which isn't even legal to sell. The sign literally says it's marked down for either being damaged or expired, not expiring soon.... actually expired. If the health department came in they would have a field day. They have prepackaged salads in the deli that were all bloated today and if you didn't know, that happens when products are above safe temperatures for too long and go bad. That's probably why my milk went bad. I don't usually have an issue with the staff. They are usually friendly but not eccentric. Tonight around 7 there were 4 teenagers working and they were all at one register. None of them said a word to me. They were talking to themselves the whole time and one of them was swearing. Swearing doesn't bother me, but I'm sure it does to other customers. It was a very strange experience. No one said hello, goodbye, let me know the total bill, said you can put your card in, or thank you for shopping here. It was the most awkward grocery experience I've ever had. I tried making eye contact and at least smiling but the cashier didn't look at me until she handed me the receipt and still didnt say anything as i just walked away. So uncomfortable.

This was a far better store when it was IGA. The staff is still friendly but the new owner is thinking he can get rich by overcharging prices and limiting his hours. The deli isn't even open until dinner time anymore. So sad to see this local icon sinking.

Definitely pay for the convenience of not having to leave town for quick grocery needs, but not a full grocery list. Pricey. But again, convenient. Staff is nice and friendly. Store itself clean and straightforward to locate needs.

Shop here only as a last resort really. Store changes names but still stays grungy and dirty all the time. Cashiers are super friendly if you are a regular and they know you by name. If not they don't even have a hello for you. Things are over priced for spartan brand stuff.

I worked here for a couple years. One year as a cashier and the other a manager. The staff there is really nice, and the workers are so quick and efficient with checkout. Very proud of the staff I worked with here! Now as a customer, I get to see a different side of things and I have to say, best service from the staff compared to all other grocery stores I have shopped at!

I love local grocery stores like this. Small selection, moderate prices, quick, and clean. I just needed a bottle of Excedrin which I found quickly. I appreciated that their drinks were in coolers as I was parched and wanted something cold. I found it neat that 3 out of the four available check out lanes were open and they were moving people through quickly.

Very clean store. Most people working we're friendly. Cashier was great. Man in front of me had dropped $5.00., when he bought something for his break. Cashier took it to give to him. I hope he got it. Great variety of foods to choose from. Kinda pricey. Bought discounted bananas to make bread. I was happy.

I do not recommend going here for countless reasons, but to name a few: the prices are outrageous when you can get the exact same item down the road for half the price at the dollar stores, the employees stand around at the cash registers gossiping about the customers (in front of the customers they're gossiping about), and not to mention how short and rude the employees are when they do speak to the customers. It's really not worth the money to spend anything at this store at all, especially when they tolerate such horrendous customer service.

I only shop at this store when I forget something from Meijer. I try really hard not to shop here even though it’s really conveniently located close to my house because the prices here are so much higher than your average Kroger or spartan store competitors. I also do not really care for the “our family” brand. It has a home town feel and I liked that at first but the prices are definitely not a neighborhood price.

Carl's is an okay store. The selection is not the best, the prices are outrageous, and it can be difficult to find things. For instance, why is the bread no where near the bakery section????? The evening staff is also just okay. They're not super friendly, and no one has ever offered to help me find anything. They never try to make any sort of small talk, which is okay I guess, but does make paying for groceries awkward. The store does, however, seem to always be clean, so there's that. For a small town grocery store, I have absolutely seen worse.

Carl's is a little over priced. Their produce is poor. Yesterday I purchased lettuce at full price only to come home and find it expired the day i bought it and was already starting to rot. Their meat selection is good and usually well priced though. Good for a quick stop between grocery trips.

Prices are that of the only store in a small town..of course alil pricey. I wouldn't get fresh fruit there. Not so fresh. Threw away red delicious apples 3 times in a row. But staff are always very helpful and friendly. Wish they had more items.
