The room was really nice I love the open jacuzzi room I went and grabs snacks and drinks and the service was good I didn’t have to wait the employee came right out when I walked up to the register with my snacks and the location was great not to far and it’s definitely a place where you can take a nice, fun weekend with your significant other! And even take your kids to the pool and have a blast. Theirs a hot tub. And the breakfast in the morning. So good!

Absolutely amazing staff!!! Had a birthday party for my daughter here and stayed the night with 6 12 yr old girls and they were more than accommodating! Every single staff member I talked to was extremely pleasant!! I thought for sure they were going to get annoyed (as I would) with that many kids but they were completely the opposite. The room was clean and the pool was open, also had a hot breakfast bar! Absolutely amazing experience. Thank you!!!

Supremely unimpressed.The room and suite are dusty enough, I swiped my finger and could see it. The attached suite has ONE overhead light that's not even in the main portion of the room- and no lamps, sconces, etc replaced the missing lights, making it impossible to work or study WITHOUT MY FLASHLIGHT once the sun went down.The pool and hot tub are so high in chemicals, it bleached our swim suits- and probably damaged our hair, not to mention our skin. 2 scrub downs later, and I still smell like pool chemicals. No towels were provided in the pool area- you have to bring your own, though that's not posted anywhere.The "spare" bedding had no cover for the flattest pillow I've ever slept on, which just doesn't make sense to me at all.And I'm aware winter sucks and is temperamental, but not putting salt down on an icy sidewalk until a guest falls? Unacceptable. I really didn't need any more injuries, and yet...When morning finally came, breakfast was lacking in options, especially the non-dairy variety. And no matter how cool the automatic pancake maker is, the pancakes taste like buttery rubber.All in all, cute place and awesome decorations,conveniently close to Boyne Highlands .... everything else needs work.

Hotel staff is very disgruntled, hot tub had poop in it, over charged my sister, gave her a set discounted rate renigged on it and charged her more than original booking price, charged her multiple different charges and still says she owes money when we showed proof of the charges on her card. They called the cops on her and now have tresspassed her and even me for trying to clear up the mess since she was already out of state and I didn’t even stay there although I paid for a swim pass now that I can’t even use without being tresspassed

Arrived to our room to find something red staining the wall paper near the bed. Beds were lumpy but clean. Pool and hottub were so chemically loaded our eyes burned and it leached the color out of our suits. We left to go to the airport restaurant and as soon as we stepped out there was a 6 foot ice patch that hadn't been salted even though there was a sign warning of falling ice from the roof. A member of my family fell as soon as she stepped out the door. Staff apologized but had nothing else to offer over our ruined suits or her fall.

I emailed the manager,I stayed at your lodge this weekend gone and I had some stuff to bring to your attention. When I got there checked in my room the couch bed springs was feeling through the mattress however I asked for extra blankets to put on top of it and had to ask for pillows slips since the extra ones didn’t have any on them. Then went to use the bathroom and the toilet was never cleaned and the shower curtain was filthy so called the front desk he told me to come down to change room however there was no more rooms available I was like can the bathroom be clean only to be told that there was no one to do so I asked for the cleaning stuff so I can clean it since I didn’t come here by self myself I bought my husband and kids with me so I cleaned the toilet and replaced the shower curtain with not an offer of an discount since I came here not to be hired to do what I paid for also it was so unprofessional for morning breakfast time I had to keep trying to find someone to fill things during breakfast and they’re all outside smoking or chatting and like having an attitude when they’re asked for something as well I heard a stuff on the phone saying AAA gets a discount and I never got that either. You have a beautiful lodge I hope in the future the place is run better than what service I got.Front desk replied,When asked your experience at checkout you assured it was a great stay and a wonderful place to get away for a few days. You were offered by several employees to change rooms and you respectfully declined. To accommodate your needs, I also offered to change the shower curtain for you and then offered housekeeping to come up and do a good clean for you in which you also declined and said everything was good. Breakfast is from 5am to 9:30am it was at the end of breakfast in which I was taking a short break that you had asked for pancake batter I kindly told you breakfast was over, but I would be right there, and I changed it for you anyway and kept breakfast out a little longer to also accommodate your family's needs. I always do my best to assure customers are taken care of and satisfied. You also asked for paper plates once breakfast is checked frequently and always stocked when needed everything was available and full there was a small rush of guest towards the end of breakfast, so things do run out, but I also replaced them. Everybody was very respectful to your needs and I went above and beyond to assist yourself and family. Everything was very professional as always. So, I'm very sorry you had this experience however you will not be discounted due to many attempts to accommodate you and your refusal to them. I hope you have a wonderful day, and we look forward to you staying again in the near future. Lasty you were not offered the AAA discount because you did not book directly through us you booked online therefore you got online pricing. We would be happy to discount your next stay if you have AAA if you book directly with us. I hope this clears up some issues.I repliedI really wish you had a camera because you replied with all lies to cover yourself I would never come there and then make this stuff up you’re very under professional and I was told to contact the manger and then you reply with this. I will be giving a bad review as well as never coming back thereRooms: The towels was worn out, yellow, small, the shower was yellow that wasn’t changed after the last people was in there as well as the toilet was nasty so check under your toilet seat, the a/c in room 227 want take cold but we made it due since the other room had one. The pictures are on my husbands phone that I don’t have right nowFood & drinks: There was only pancakes that was available to eat that was hot, coffee was cold but warmed up in the microwave

Decent Lodge for the prices; which are good value.Middle of nowhere kinda, but useful for what we needed it for.Place to crash for the night.WiFi was decent. 100/15. Kept disconnecting time to time.TVs sadly are horrible. Small, terrible picture quality. Needs an upgrade.Free breakfast very low tier. Sasuage gravy and biscuits and a machine that makes pancakes but very slow in the process.Cereal, bread, on a toaster/etc. EH! IT WAS FREE!Didnt go into the pool, pool room was clean.Room 209 was my room; no bedbug issues as recent reviews state there has been issues.Checked mattress, under matress, box spring, clear!Friends room door wouldnt lock correctly. Had to jam it to get it. Maintenance looks at it in the morning after checkout. Room 228.Nearby activities: Big Rig Racing on Onaway Speedway

We have stayed here several times actually just stayed last weekend for 3 days and absolutely loved our previous stays until tonight. Spur of the moment trip with two of our children. We checked in got our stuff to the room and we're excited to go to the pool which we did. Went back to the room with my daughter and noticed a bug on the bed and pulled back the sheets and bed bugs were everywhere even crawling on the walls. I immediately called the front desk and the girl working came to see for herself. She called the manager and all she was willing to do is refund our money or move our room. This is all happening at 10 pm 3-11-2023 room #126. I am absolutely in disbelief that the manager didn't seem to care or do anything for our inconvenience because it ruined our whole family trip and now I have to wash everything before I can even take things into my home which is 4 hours away. We will never return here.Rooms: Bed bug infestation..

Had a bad experience with getting a hot tub room with a tub that was non operational, I thought I'd give it another chance an the next time the room had NoT been cleaned and when I informed management they said "it was no big deal" an offered to let me clean the room myself, which as it was late an I had a 1 yro that I didn't want to wake back up again to move to different hotel. In hindsight I should have without second thought. There was what looked like shaved curly black hair in the tub a melted bar of soap that had become one with the whirlpool bottom as it hadn't been cleaned In who knows how long , as well the room had a broken lamp, broken chair at the desk, window was not sealing and broken/unsecured. And there was mold on the tile as it hadn't been touched either, all in all, they offered nothing but a vacuum an watered-down cleaner in an unmarked spray bottle and hand towel rag to clean it myself. Wouldn't let my daughters feet touch the floor for the entire stay. And this was supposed to be sanitized to high standards for Covid safety, I will say this the gentleman that worked night shift did pass along my grievance to the manager who was out of town, he was friendly an pleasant in listening and he wasn't able to do anything about it after the fact but was nonetheless pleasant and empathetic.

This would have been a 1 star review because the room smelled like smoke and the floors look like they haven't been cleaned in years.... But the night girl gAve us some room deodorant which made room tolerable. Location very remote not much in area to eat everything closes early like 9pm. Pool and hot tub where pretty good...the pool room was vented well to tolerated well enough not to breath chlorine.

Clean room, hot tub and pool. The pool room was a little chilly but still enjoyed it. Not noisy, pool is open late. Not many tables if you eat breakfast but you have one in your room. Cool area to grill outside, decent size fridge. Very friendly staff. We definitely enjoyed our stay. Right by the airport if you use it. Some places not far away to dine at, but not much around if you are looking to do anything there. You have to travel to Petoskey, which isn't that far if you don't mind a 15min ride. The area is pretty and there is not any traffic noise you hear inside at all.

Don’t go, terrible room, not clean! It smelt like smoke, was very dusty and there was mold in bathroom and trash and dead bugs behind the bedside tables. Sheets were yellowed and with stains! Would have canceled but we came late and needed to sleep from traveling all day. Bed was so lumpy, had back ache next day! Breakfast was ok but no fruits! At least bring bananas! Only good thing is the employees seemed nice. Place is really outdated as well.

I booked this hotel online and accidently reserved in the wrong city. My reservation was two weeks away. I called the hotel to cancel my booking and they would not do it. The lady that handled my call refused to cancel my reservation. It was two weeks away! Every time I called back to talk to a manager she would tell me they're not available. Don't stay here!!

Went and used the pool and there is way to much chemical used, all swim suits are bleached and legs where itchy and burning when we left along with my hair is so dried out and fried that I can barely brush it. When I called to just ask they check there system because we haven't had this issue before I was told they system was fine they check it daily . Clearly it's not fine.

We arrived late, around 10pm with 2 babies. We checked in and when we walked in, our room immediately smelled like cigarettes. We went to the bathroom and it was absolutely disgusting. The floor was covered in hair, the door was cracking in half. My husband went down to the front desk to ask to be switched rooms. The girl working (very polite and seemed like she was used to disappointed guests) said there was only one other available and it was only available because someone else had refused to stay in it. She showed it to him and it was also unclean and this one smelled of cigars. Our babies were already asleep so we stayed the night but we’re so uncomfortable. The next day we woke at 6am and went to the front desk to check out. The new girl was extremely rude, she told us we would be charged for the next night even though we weren’t staying because we didn’t give 48 hours notice. Maybe there should be an exception to this rule if the room is unsanitary? She said we could take it up with the manager when she was in on Monday. We called and the manager was not available and we’re told we would be called back and never were. We just got our credit card bill and we’re charged $190 for the first night (such a great discount) and a full $380 for the second night that we weren’t there for. We tried to give them a chance to make things right before leaving bad reviews (though I really think they should have been the ones making the effort) but they obviously don’t care. So, I would definitely recommend avoiding the Pellston Lodge, especially on a busy weekend and if you are checking in late. Rooms are atrocious and customer service is even worse. We were visiting family in the area but would much rather make the drive from mackinaw or Cheboygan and stay in a clean hotel. They had free breakfast and the wifi was fast.

Upon arriving the staff was so friendly and helpful. The room was a single king and a huge hour tub. Everything was very clean in our room... no complaints here. We'll stay here again.Rooms: Some rooms have a huge hot tub in them. Ours did.... it was amazing! The price was wonderful , especially because of the hot tub and free breakfast.

Great price for the sleep. Room 120 had a table and chair being held poorly together with cheap wall brackets. The right char harm would come apart if you lifted the chair. Otherwise good room. Bed was cozy, water was well pressured with plenty of hot. Beds were cozy room was clean. I stayed 2 nights and the cleaning lady even knocked on our door to see if we needed anything. Breakfast was the usual but expected. SECUROTY HERE WAS A BIT OF A FARSE(SEE PICTURES TO UNDERSTAND)

I stayed at Pelston Lodge while working on my hunting property. The property was like Shangri-la after 12 hour days of brush clearing and tree removal. The rooms and facilities were clean, air conditioning worked great, nice refrigerator and microwave in the room, etc. The continental breakfast was nice.The pool and hot tub area were great. The hotel grounds are very neat and secure. They also gave me a military discount-- much appreciated! I highly recommend this resort.
