It's more than just a gas station. I really like the selection here of things you can pick up for lunch or a quick bite - salads, sandwiches, fruit cups, etc. They have a deli and a walk-in beer cooler.

I grew up in this area and whenever I go back to visit, I gas up and purchase pizza and other food items from this store. My last visit was terrible. The same rude man described in other reviews, as well as a rude female employee. It was all triggered by them accosting me when I walked in the door about leaving my car unattended while fueling it up. I didn’t leave it unattended, they just couldn’t see because the seat was reclined. Just nastiness and it makes me not want to give them my business in the future. Mostly, I’m thankful that I don’t hate my life as much as they seem to hate theirs.

Just stopped by to buy some yummy pies and a couple drinks. The 50’s/60’s year old woman gave me a total attitude while I was checking out, what horrendous service. Was she upset that I gave her exact change? Maybe she didn’t like my selection of drinks? Maybe she was constipated because she had a strange look about her.Regardless, She doesn’t belong dealing with customers face to face. If you’re the owner of this store, this happened on May 1, 2022 at 7:30pm. But I’m sure you already know who she is.

Much more than a gas station. This place continues to surprise me with what they stock. I can see how some of the staff might be perceived as... grumpy, but they chill once they know you're face. As a sorta local (Larks Lake/Cross-village), I kinda love that. Sorry if you're a tourist 😆

Stopped there on the way to the U.P. for gas & cold water. I was surprised that they had much more in that store than just gas station items. They actually have fresh fruits & veggies, a deli dept., & a walk in cooler for alcohol. A recommended stop! 👌 😊

We moved to the area just over a year and a half ago, when covid started, so we didn't know where to go and couldn't just run out and shop normally. We stopped here for gas one time and have been going here ever since. We don't do major shops here, but it's a great place to go when we need a lot of basic items, and, I have to say, their meats are really good as are the prices for them. We always buy chicken here and they do have a nice selection of veggies that most places like it don't have. We don't always want to run to Petoskey or St. Ignace for groceries, and the Pellston General Store seems to carry a lot of the items we need for every day use. It's clean and the staff are generally pretty friendly. The guys in the meat area always ask if I need help with anything and that's truly appreciated. Thanks!

Daughter came home from college for the holidays and wanted to deer hunt. Came in to buy a license on December 20. Old bald guy said it was musket season. I said no that ended December 13. He said there was no current season. Even another cashier said her dad owned 40 acres and would have known if you could still hunt. Tried explaining archery and a late antlerless season still open. Super rude, condescending. Threw my daughters drivers license back and said he was done. Have seen this guy be very rude before to customers. Told him if he’s going to sell the license he needed to know the seasons. He grumbled something back to us. Have had very pleasant interaction with some of the other staff. This guy needs to go!

If i could give this a zero star i would.. we ordered pizza and a friend picked it up and one pizza wasnt even the right one so i called to complain and "Bruce" in the deli decided to get an attitude with me so i told him there was no reason to have an attitude and that i wanted to talk to a manager so he went to get his"Daddy" who started yelling and screamed at me and was very rude and ignorant. Both of tgem need to be fired for their conduct.

Way more than a gas station convenient store. When we come to Douglas Lake it's our go to spot to pick up all of our supplies for the week. I particularly like the craft beer section to try local brands!

Made my way out in the storm to find something to put in the oven to keep the kitchen warm, not knowing exactly what I wanted seemed to be my "fault" in browsing the meat selection, I was all But acccused of stealing. The obnoxiously rude female butcher found it appropriate to make snide comments in reference to ( her knowing what she wants while shopping) and then seeming very aggravated with my presence in the meat section she asks (is there something She could find for me?) Not politely may I add, as I try to explain that im not sure, she makes another comment I couldn't makeout because she walked away before hearing my reply. Ive spent lots of money in this store, and would have definitely spent more today if I hadnt felt so disrespected. Wont be making that mistake again, ill gladly take my business to louis from now on!

TERRIBLE! Went in last night (2/10 around 10 PM) and an older guy wearing camo pants accused my friend of stealing and eating a blueberry cliff bar in the 2 minutes we were in the store.....he said he even watched the camera and watched the wrapper fall from my friends pocket. Funny thing is was my other friend who was in the store ate that cliff bar from MY house just hours earlier.....the two guys look completely different and weren’t even by each other!!!! After i told the man this and asked him to watch the cameras to prove it he proceeded to say “i already watched the cameras” which he clearly did not....he even bumped into my friend in the isle without saying anything before hand!!! This man was so rude i will never go in there again and I’ll make sure this review goes everywhere possible.

Meat department has been terrible!!! Used to love to shop here for our grilling meats. In the past month the product has been unappealing. Not sure why the drastic change, but have recently taken my business elsewhere!

We called to put a order of pizza down almost 7:40 and they told us you can order till 7:45. Then they tell us that they had already cleaned and put everything away!! They are the most disappointing and laziest people I know !!!
