Really cool hole-in-the-wall type place that has a great selection of boots, hats, trinkets and other apparel.A good friend of ours got us a gift card from here and so my wife was able to get some really cute sunflower cowgirl boots. Her size was not currently in stock, but they conveniently ordered them for us at no charge and contacted us when they arrived in store.Great customer service even during the Christmas break! Would recommend.

The Covered Wagon is the only place I’ll be purchasing tack. Not only is it great to shop locally, but the employees are great. Danny, the owner, is extremely friendly without being too pushy, and offers deals better than you can find online.Pictured here is an M. Toulouse saddle that I thought I’d never be able to afford, let alone own. Danny gave me a spectacular price, and I owe it all to him for giving me an amazing opportunity to own a $2,600 saddle for more than half the price! Keep in mind, this saddle is brand new, never even been placed on a horse. He even threw in stirrup leathers for free on top of the insanely discounted price! Thank you Danny and your employees for maintaining a fantastic business that helps dreams come true!

I think the owner of the manager was there and he was extremely helpful it went above and beyond to try to find a pair of boots I could wear unfortunately they were men's boots but they did have them. I happened to go to another store to get something else I needed and they had a pair of women's boots which looked a whole lot better so I took the men's boots back. I understand they have a no-refund policy but I'd only had the boots for an hour I think they could have been that just a little bit considering. I do have store credit so I can go back and shop and fortunately there over an hour away.

I called about a slightly used saddle that they had advertised but after discussing what I was looking for with the owner, I ended up ordering a new M Toulouse saddle at an unbeatable price. The communication was exceptional and they shipped the saddle directly to my home in Ohio.

I'm sorry but I tried to shop local. I ordered and paid for a pair of boots for a horse show that was 3 weeks out. I was told that they would be in store in 7 days. I called after a week, but there were no boots. I called again the second week and stopped in the store with no boots. I called the owner and was assured they would be there in time. The girl at the store suggested I do Amazon as a backup. I'm glad I did. On the day of the horse show, I received a phone call, and the boots are in. Too late, I'm already at the horse show getting ready to compete. I was told there would be no refund as he spent $42 in shipping. I was glad I did the backup plan. I stopped in yesterday, and the woman was very apologetic and said that they now have 2 pair in stock because the people that were working didn't look for them, so they reordered them. She showed me the receipt, and it showed that the boots were ordered again on August 14, and I had to have them very early in the morning on the 18th. Three weeks was plenty of time to have these in stock because they did order them, and they did come in. The girls working could not find my boots each time I inquired. Here they were in the store the whole time.

Really disappointed in my recent experience! I used to work here through most of my middle and high school years! Just visited the store last Friday, picked up a number of items including a rope halter. I managed to pick a color that didn’t have a price tag, but double checked the other halters on that very same hook and saw they were $28. After I paid, I noticed the young lady rang it up for $65.98. When I asked, she said that was the price of the others like it and that all sales were final. Imagine my (not so) surprise when I saw the EXACT same rope halter at TSC today for $32.99. After having shopped her for 30+ years, I’ll never again return. Buyer Beware!!!

Waaayyyy overpriced! I love to support local business when I can. But I can get western style shirts much cheaper online. The selection was limited as well. This is more for a dressage rider than a cowboy IMO. The shirt I bought did look fantastic on stage though!

Hi, this is Molly 145 lbs. of love and energy. we could not find a pet store that had a jacket large enough to fit her correctly, or they had no stock. Thanks to the Great staff at the Covered Wagon Saddlery who went out of their way to find the best fit foal jacket. they brought some really nice jackets to try on, and fitted Molly with a very nice high quality jacket/Blanket and at a price that was very affordable. The last time I have seen service like this is when my aunt worked at Sax 5th Ave in downtown Detroit back in the 70's. I can not wait to go back there they had a nice selection of wearable's But the sheep skin Slippers' selection caught my eye.

this place is amazing.. service was top notch. I went in to see what irish setter boots they had. the young ladies in there was quick to greet me and help. with in a few minutes I new what my options was cause of my big feet.. found out they could order the other ones I been looking for and I gave them the number for them off the web sight.. looking through the sight after I left I realized I gave them the number for safety toe ones so I called.. shortly later Danny contacted me and we got it all figured out.. it was the best experience I have ever had buying boots.. thank you all so much

My wife and I stopped by the Covered Wagon today and were pleasantly surprised. The have a nice selection of shirts, jackets, boots, hats, everything needed for riding. Kaitlin was very pleasant and extremely helpful. She represents the store and its commitment to great service very well. I found a Cinch vest and Kaitlin helped us search the store for a my size and offered alternatives.I will very much be stopping back in to the store. There was such a variety that its difficult to check everything out in just an hour. Stop in, you won't be disappointed. Say hi to Kaitlin.

Great selection and inventory, but not crazy about the store policy of store credit on any returns. I usually shop online, as the merchants I deal with carry what I need, have great shipping, great customer service, and no hassle returns. I had not been in this store in years, after moving out of the area; now that I have moved back, will most likely continue to online shop, as I don't like not being able to return something and get a refund in the manner of payment, especially if the return is made within a few days. Thought I would give a local merchant a try, but guess I am sold on the online experience.

The staff here are the best store employees ever. They are super knowledgeable able about all horse activities and the equipment needed for each activity. They have a wonderful selection of western shirts, and English riding apparel. I bought my first pair of boots here and the staff spent a good hour with me helping me get the exact boot that worked for me the best.Granted prices here aren't exactly cheap, but what is in the horse community. I have found the prices to be worth it as every item I have bought is high quality. Boots, hats, shirts, helmets, tack, horse treats, dusters you name it the probably have it or know somewhere you can get it.I would recommend this store to anyone buying riding equipment and clothing, whether it is your first time or you are a seasoned veteran.

This saddlery is beyond my expectations! I purchased a couple of brushes and a billet, they were great prices AND great quality. They were also very colorful and cute! This store is more for a Western rider but they also have a big selection of English. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I will be visiting again!

This place seems smallish from the outside but is much larger inside, and upstairs than you think. Packed with all sorts of horse items ranging from saddles to boots to care items for both western and English riders. Great prices, especially for the type of store. People come from many miles away to shop here because of the selection and prices. Recommend

So I have had more than 1 instance of horrible customer service and being lied to with the owner.The first time I made a mistake and purchased what I thought were shoulder guards but were actually sleezies. I returned them within a couple hours. Despite coming right back the owner/manager told me all sales final. It was my mistake so I just took the store credit BUT I was told by the owner the shoulder guards would be ordered for me. I called after a couple weeks went by and he told me they were in. I drove the 45 min it takes me to get there each way and no shoulder guards to be found. The owner said they were behind the counter.The ladies working couldn't find them.The owner blamed them and said they must have sold them.Next issueI bought a clearance pair of boots for my grand daughter. The owner said if they didnt fit he would refund the money. They did not fit and he refused to refund the moneyThe 3rd issue is the last straw for me.I bought something and again was told by the owner if it didn't fit my horse he would refund the money. It did not fit and I was back to the store within a couple hours for a refund. The owner said he could order the size I needed and asked if it would be ok to apply the money to the order instead of a refund. Reluctantly I agreed. My instincts were correct. After not getting any further communication from the owner on the order, I reached out several times to get updates on when the order was due to arrive,all that was ever said was that it was coming. It never came, no surprise. (because it was never ordered just like times before)Horrible customer service and liesI guess its hard to understand why you would want to deceive repeat customers. I used to shop with them frequently but it would appear as my business is not needed. My business will go to a new tack shop right down the road from covered wagon or online. Im done getting treated poorly.
