We have had a great experience with Blackwoods Labs. They have been great to work with even after we have our beautiful puppy. He is almost a year old and Janice is still always there to answer questions. We get so many compliments on what a beautiful dog he is. Even the groomer (who sees dogs all the time) commented on his face and his coat. He is great with the kids too. Now and then pictures.

This handsome boy is perfect!!! He is so adorable and playful. I cannot believe how incredibly smart he is! Janice was so pleasant and made us feel comfortable through the whole process. She answered any questions we had and is very knowledgeable about the breed. We would definitely recommend her!!

Janice is an outstanding breeder of English Labradors. My wife and I got our 7 week old puppy in August 2021 and she's been a very well behaved dog. We actually needed to get her a week early since we were moving out of Michigan before the 8-week adoption period, but Janice went out of her way to get her shots and deworming early. We honestly couldn't have asked for a better breeder!Update: she’s almost 2 years old and a very happy pup!

I adopted Savannah {yellow lab} & Sadie {black lab} from Blackwoods Labradors & I couldn’t have a better experience, and I couldn’t ask for two better tempered, beautiful, wonderful personalities from two incredible dogs. The girls are spoiled, loved to death and enjoying the lazy life. Savannah is a sweetheart and brings me peace because she reminds me SO much of my Kasey {chocolate lab who I lost to cancer at the age of 11} and I feel like a piece of Kasey lives inside her. Sadie is coming out of her shy shell and her personality is BIG. She loves playing fetch and makes me laugh every day with her gymnastic cartwheels and summersaults she does in the yard. I get so many compliments about their build/structure, temper and personalities when we go out. ❤️❤️ I highly recommend Blackwoods Labradors for anyone looking to welcome a labrador into their fureverhome. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Janice has been incredibly professional throughout the entire process; from choosing our pup, to answering any questions my family may have had, and willingly providing some well-rounded information and resources about the breed and breeding industry. Our Sadie girl (pictured) has the best temperament, is so incredibly smart (potty training was a breeze), has been noted to be 100% healthy at all of her vet appointments, and is absolutely stunning! We couldn't ask for a better experience! ❤️

Overall great experience. Communication with Janice was prompt. She answered all of my questions in the weeks leading up to getting our pup, and continued to after bringing her home. I couldn’t be any happier with my experience with Blackwoods Labradors! I got my puppy from Janice in December 2020 and he is the most perfect puppy my family could have asked for. We are very pleased with our beautiful, smart lab! Janice was very helpful and always very quick to respond. I had many questions and always felt comfortable contacting her. I purchased a puppy from her on Saturday, May 13, 2023. When we brought him home, he was loaded with fleas. After bringing him to the vets on Monday, May 15, 2023, he was "loaded" with Coccidia and Hookworm which are VERY HARD TO GET RID especially IN YOUR YARD if you are not diligent and clean. He had a faint positive test for Giarda as well. As of May 2, 2023 my puppy was "healthy" according to her and her vet did not disclose anything wrong with him at 6.5 weeks when he received his first round of shots. Yet in a matter of two weeks, his little body was loaded with microscopic parasites. Do not believe any excuse she gives you as she has been doing this for years. She will not let you see her kennels due to a Parvo incident but I am sure that is not the only reason. She takes only cash and PayPal where you cannot dispute the payment. I am not sure how she earned a high rating on Google either. I highly recommend you call the Genesee County Animal control because she's had numerous complaints and is not licensed. IF you have put a nonrefundable deposit on a puppy take the loss and go with a licensed and better reputable breeder. Do your research. I did my mine but apparently, I was not thorough enough until I brought him home.

Highly recommend this breeder. She is very knowledgeable, takes very good care of her pups, and provides detailed medical records so that you are all setup for transition the puppy to it's new forever home. She was always willing to talk to me and spent a lot of time answering all of our questions as we were researching breeders.
