We stopped in to try one of their cinnamon rolls. It was soo good and the size of the dinner plate! We wish it was warmer, but still so good. We ordered dinner rolls to go, which I don't recommend. I recommend eating them while you're there as they got hard in the bag. We also bought some of their chocolate chip cookies to go which were amazing! After we ate we strolled their gorgeous garden and learned about its significance. It was a really great stop on our vacation with a really awesome atmosphere and super kind staff.

We are not local but decided to try here based on reviews. We were visiting from Indiana.We shared a cinnamon roll grilled. I had the hot beef sandwich and my husband had the pot roast melt. We shared onion rings. Everything was delicious.The hot beef sandwich had the soft, yummy homemade bread with tender meat. The onion rings just the right amount of breading with nice, big onions. My hisband lives his as well. The grilled cinnamon roll is worth the pound you gain.The service was great, the people are friendly, and the restaurant is clean. Definitely would recommend.

Stop here anytime for a meal it is worth the trip. We stopped in for breakfast . They had homemade bread and jam with the meal. We picked up 3 of the giant cinnamon rolls for the road they are excellent and made fresh daily. Great place for breakfast and lunch and the staff here was very friendly. When your done check out the beautiful garden right outside the building. This is a must stop for a meal by Alpena!

Nothing short of amazing! The food was sooo good! We had breakfast. The sausage gravy was the best I ever had. The only downside was not being able to try their famous jumbo cinnamon roll..they had sold out before we made it there. If your looking for a wonderful, filling, and satisfying breakfast, this is it. The staff were great as well. 5 stars all day!

Connie's is always a sure bet if you want consistency with great food, reasonable prices & excellent environment. The screened in porch area is so enchanting and overlooks their beautiful gardens. Quick friendly service, food was great, filling and flavorful. Cinnamon toast was very light & fluffy, so good. Omelette was great, french toast was delicious. Not local but will be back again when we get the chance.Kid-friendliness: Highchairs 😉👍

Absolutely great food!! Fantastic staff. Very beautiful and clean facility. The owner and the restaurant have a very unique story. The cinnamon rolls are the best I have ever had!

Do yourself a favor and stop here. Unbelievable food!We got the cinnamon roll (😮) breakfast, and the upside-down Mexican scramble. The cinnamon toast was perfect.We also got a chicken pot pie to go to cook at home. Needless to say it was perfection. Seasoned perfectly, not bland.

Connie's is a great family restaurant that offers dine in, takeout, and baked goods that are out of this world. The food was fresh and cooked to perfection. Grab a cinnamon role to go or a loaf of bread. We will be back.

They were wonderful!! They catered to our vegan palettes! Staff were all extremely nice and helpful. The food was amazing!! And we loved walking the beautiful garden. Excellent all the way around!

Went here for breakfast on a recommendation. So glad we went. The food, service and ambiance were great. I'll definitely be returning. They had a nice backyard with little gardens that I think would be really nice and peaceful in the summer.

Wow! You can really tell that this is a HomeTown diner. The attention to cleanliness, customer satisfaction, and the quality of the food is beyond amazing! And the cinnamon rolls?! Bigger than your face! If you hadn't made it down, yet, definitely put this on your bucket list of places to go and fill your belly. You will not be disappointed! Make sure to venture outside as well to view the beautiful Arch and garden.

My sister and I stopped in for an early lunch and we were surprised by how busy it was. All the employees were so kind and helpful. We got our orders in and were happy with what we got. It was so good we were almost done when we realized we forgot to take pics. I had the club sandwich on her fresh baked wheat bread. And my sister got the Angry bird wrap, which is just a buffalo chicken wrap. We both paid the upcharge of 99¢ for the potato salad, and we were disappointed in the small amount we got. But it was very delicious. We have never been there before in all our years of visiting, but I'll definitely be going back. I also ordered the giant grilled cinnamon roll to go for us all.

This is a special place, a tradition among family and friends. They have great food, including traditional breakfast fare and amazing sweet rolls. The garden area out back is a joy for kids.Kid-friendliness: Fun garden area out back with a walking area, benches, and cute mini-sculptures.

We loved our breakfast, and the service was top notch. The waitress was busy but still checked on us and brought us things as the meal progressed. The gardens are beautiful and we sat in the screened in porch section, a very nice option.

We were in the area camping for the weekend and decided to stop in before we headed home.Small town breakfast spot with large portions and friendly wait staff. Cinnamon rolls are huge! Definitely get one to share.It’s down the street from the Dinosaur Gardens which is also advertised loud and proud in the seating area which will give you an idea of the vibe.Side note:No vegan options. We asked for a meal without meat but our waitress insisted the meat portion came out and was given to another person at our table which was predetermined whose meal to add it to. The meat came out on the same plate of the person who asked for no meat, and was very cozy with the food around it.Thankfully this vegetarian was fine with meat touching their food but if you have a hard line about things like this then just keep it in mind.

The service by the new young man was amazing. He was attentive happy with his job. The breakfast was very good. Good flavor, made my special request, not greasy and our coffees were freshened regularly. Picked up a few special cinnamon rolls for friends. Definitely coming back.

Fantastic! Wonderful! Home style cookin' that will fill you up! Wonderful atmosphere, friendly staff! I recommend eating pancakes on the patio! I can see this to be a place to frequent when I'm out this way. If you're in the area, stop in. You won't be disappointed! Get here early to get a cinnamon roll or you'll have to miss out (like I did) because they sell out QUICK!
