A peaceful and beautiful resort. This is a great place to stay especially in the winter. Loved the warm fire place, the cabins stayed warm and we had a great night by the fire.The resort has breathtaking views of Superior. A great beach access and plenty of beach toys.The staff was friendly and helpful!! The cabins were perfect, well kept and very clean. Fantastic bedding and a king too.This is centrally located with everything you want to do in the area. A short distance to the Porkies.

We loved our stay at Millers Cottages. Check in was super easy and Kim greeted us with warmth and friendliness.Our cabin was very clean and we were very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. The grill outside was a very nice weber.The bed was very comfortable and after sightseeing all day I slept really good.They do sell charcoal and lighter fluid along with a bucket of firewood to have a campfire on the beach. We did have campfires both nights we were there and it was a great addition too watching the sunset.The location is great as it's an easy drive to go visit the porcupine mountains and other waterfalls.We are already planning on coming back here next year but staying longer.

We had a great stay! Our cottage was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Location was perfect as it was about a 2 minute walk down the path to the beach. There were numerous things available for us to borrow if we needed-beach chairs, paddle boards, and kayaks to name a few. There was also firewood available for purchase ($5 a bundle) if you wanted to build a fire on the beach! Kim was a great host-friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. We will definitely stay here again!

I love this place. We used to visit when the property had different owners. I was glad to see the Miller's have kept it the same and have only enhanced the experience even more. The property is beautiful and the cottages are warm and cozy. I recommend visiting to enjoy the beauty of Lake Superior and a great beach in a wooded setting. The Porcupine Mountains and other amazing sites are close by. Kim was a welcoming host and it was great chatting with her. Well worth the drive and we hope to return again soon!

We so enjoyed our stay at Miller’s Cottages. Our cottage was spotless with all of the comforts of home thought of…right down to that fan I need to sleep! BBQ and beach items included!! We were literally steps from the Lake Superior shoreline where we enjoyed strolling the sandy beach. Beautiful Porcupine Mountain was just a few minutes drive away with trails to hike and waterfalls to enjoy. The small town of Ontonagon boasts a hometown diner we frequented with homemade pastries and pies. We are definitely coming back!!

Great place to stay!!! We spent a lovely weekend in a charming cabin only steps from the beach on Lake Superior. Nice spot for a lakeside bonfire in the evening! The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed (linens, pots/pans, microwave, toaster, etc). There was good functional wifi, a TV with cable and a/c. We had our own nice little covered deck with a picnic table. The cabins are well spaced apart so you are not too close to your neighbor. There was also a communal pavilion and yard games if one is inclined. We travel a lot and have stayed in many resorts and cabins and I highly recommend this resort. We were so comfortable. Kim and Rob are welcoming and accommodating hosts!

We have nothing but great things to say about Millers Cottages. We spent three nights there. The cottage itself was adorable, very cozy and rustic but it was nice and roomy with plenty of modern conveniences. It was just a perfect fit for our family (2 adults and a toddler and another on the way).The grounds are beautiful and very well maintained. And the beach is right there! Probably a one minute walk even with a pokey toddler.The owners Kim and Rob are so welcoming, friendly, professional and clearly care about the guests experience. They helped with anything we needed.We loved it, and were blown away!

We enjoyed a 3 night stay at Miller’s cabins and wish we would have had more time! Immediately when we checked in Kim greeted us and was so friendly and welcoming. After a long day of travel it was great to see a smiling face! The cabin was clean, quaint and perfect for our family of 4. We loved the beach access and spent 2 nights watching the beautiful sunset while having a beach bonfire. We enjoyed the kayaks that were available for use for free and paddled to the Ontonagon light house. I was amazed at how clear the lake was! Our kids absolutely loved that there were games to play and room to ride their bikes around the complex. We were a short 15 minute drive to Porkies and a 5 minute drive into Ontonagon. Miller’s was the perfect place four our adventure and we can’t wait to go back for more relaxation and exploration!

My wife and I utv ride in the UP of michigan and have stayed at Miller's cottages multiple times. our friends have stayed there multiple times also. We enjoy having a fireplace in the cottage so we can relax after riding all day. The cottages that we have stayed in all have a unique vibe all their own. We enjoy walking on the beach which is a short walk from the cottages. I am sure my wife and I will visit again!Noteworthy details: We have met a lot of nice people staying there both times we have stayed there

This cottage resort is a gem! Well cared for grounds, access to Superior beach (sunsets, campfires, kayak & canoe, star gazing...). Owners are acccessable and friendly.This is a place I will return to and highly recommend!

My family was located in cabin 104, it was clean and very comfortable. We were just a few feet from Lake Superior which was our goal to be close to the beach. Kim Miller, the owner is so very nice and accommodating to your needs. They have a play area for kids and grills at each cabin what more could you ask for. Would we stay there again you bet in a heartbeat. It is close to the Porcupine Mountains and downtown Ontonagon. Great area.Nearby activities: Porcupine Mountains, Lake Superior and downtown Ontonagon

Great little gem! From the time we walked in the door until the moment we left, Rob , Kim, and Tammy were all so helpful! My son really took a liking to Rob and he was so patient with him and showing his found treasures. This would be a great place for a family get-together. The beach was breathtaking! Perfect amenities for all ages!

Millers cottage, hands down, was a highlight of trip. We stayed in Spruce Valley #8 and it was the perfect size for the two of us. We were within a 2ish minute walk to the beach, which made for some great sunsets and sunrises. Kim and Rob were very accommodating, kind, and gave us amazing recommendations of things to do on our stay. We cannot recommend them enough! We hope to be back next year!

With this being my first time staying overnight in the UP, I couldn't be more happy with my experience at Miller's. Between the sweet front desk agent to the northern lights being visible on our second night of our stay, it was a magical experience. I stated in the Superior View room just a short walk to the water. This is a newly renovated and ADA accessible room. Perfect for my trip! Thanks a ton Miller's!!

I've never been this far North in Michigan. It's late setpember. The trees have turned 50%. Stunning. Miller's cabins are halfway between all the beautiful sight here in Michigan's UP. We've stayed at cabins before. Millers is by far the nice authenntic Michigan cabins. Just bring your hot dogs mustard and ketchup. They have everything else. Lake Superior is 300 feet away. Black top parking. In front of your cabin. Sunsets are spectacular. And wonderful sandy beach for the kid in you.

The cabin was perfect for our weekend getaway. We loved that the beach was so close that we could go whenever we wanted. Kim not only showed us to our cabin but also ga e us a lay of the land when we arrived.Nearby activities: Definitely check out Lake of the Clouds and the Saturday night Pizza buffet at Squeeze on Main.

Being familiar with all of the UP, my husband had suggested these cottages as he had always wanted to stay there. What's not to love? Close to Lake Superior, hiking in the mountains, biking to the lighthouse, and breakfast on the screened-in porch. It was also my husbands birthday and our 40th wedding anniversary. The cottage was so clean. Our time there was a memory we will cherish for many years to come. Our hosts were very hard-working yet always happy to help out with perfect suggestions. We want to go back in January.

Had an amazing week long stay. Owners, Rob and Kim go above and beyond to make sure your time is wonderful. Cottages clean, well stocked kitchen, deck with Weber grill, table and chairs to enjoy meals outdoors. Grounds are beautifully landscaped. Kayaks, canoe, paddle boards free to use. Beach towels and life jackets provided. Covered pavilion for guest use with large play area for children. Short walk down path to Lake Superior. Enjoy evening campfire with other guests while watching the sunsets! Highly recommend Peterson’s!

After two years of planning we put together a family gathering here. Six family units = 54 people. We took over -- we had 75% of the cottages. The owners were wonderful in all stages of planning and co-ordination. Everyone came from 600 miles away or more. The cottages are a bit dated but who cares. They are clean and full of amenities. The beach - the sand - the wading in the water - the games - the sand box - the gathering picnic shelter - the BBQs - the everything... all great.I would say that if you are looking for luxury - go away. If you want a wonderful setting where you want to take care of yourself - come here. This is a splendid peaceful gathering place in the woods on the underbelly of Lake Superior.The people - the visiting - the camp fire - the sunset over the lake. Memory maker of a place. And this place was the base for the festivities.

We really enjoyed our stay at Peterson (Miller's) Cottages. Our cabin was cozy, clean, and very comfortable. Rob made sure we had firewood for our fireplace when we arrived. Rob and Kim were so gracious and friendly. They knew all the places to go sight seeing. They have a gift shop. If we needed anything, they were very eager to offer it to us. They treated us like family. We didn't want to leave. We will definitely go back. ❤️❤️

We recently hosted our multiple-day wedding event at Miller's Cottages and I can not speak highly enough of Kim, Robb, and their entire staff! They are the most considerate and kind hosts that will really make you feel at home.Throughout the entire planning process, Kim was very responsive and answered questions in a comprehensive and timely manner. When we began planning we lived in Montana and couldn't visit easily, so she took lots of photos and videos so we could see the pavilion, beach, cabins, etc. We had ~55 guests staying at the property that we assigned to cabins in a spreadsheet, sent that to Kim, and she handled everything with check-in, which was super helpful and took a big weight off our shoulders!The cabins are very comfortable and cozy and have been updated with lots of modern improvements. Our guests really appreciated the speedy wifi and great hot water supply. Kim and her staff were always on hand to provide extra towels/blankets/toiletries to guests and the overall customer service was excellent. Overall, the property is maintained with love and care; super clean, with lots of lovely landscaping, and little touches everywhere. They have a large lovely beach with plenty of driftwood that was perfect for seating and constructing an altar for our beach ceremony. It also gave us an excellent view of the Northern Lights!They recently rebranded and opened a gift shop on site with some lovely local art and products that our guests also really appreciated!This is a lovely family business and they work hard to make your stay as stress-free and comfortable as possible. Staying here feels like coming home to the old family cabin; full of love and warm memories. We and our guests had a wonderful time and we will definitely be back!P.S. we loved the painting of the Edmund fitzgerald over our bed ❤
