Food is ok, beautiful atmosphere, nice wait staff. They had a special omelet; turkey, spinach, tomato, feta, green onion, and oregano. I said can I just have a spinach and feta omelet? She said sure. She comes back and says, “he said the feta is just for the special”. I said “okay, give me the special minus everything but the spinach and feta”. She looks at me and goes back, I see her writing the ticket, the other waitress is like, just order a spinach and feta, and she repeats the convo. I see her then give the ticket to the dude and he looks mad, shakes his head, and makes it. I don’t get it? The special was 1$ more maybe? I mean just say I have to charge you an extra 1$. So it had fresh spinach and lots of feta, should come with potatoes for $9.50. I’ve seen one of the owners of the place be rude to workers in public, among other things. I like to support small town places but it’s getting harder for this one.

I've eaten here three times and always had a great meal. The staff here are very friendly. Cute little small town feel with fabulous food and decent prices. My mom got the chicken taco salad and it looked amazing, I'm definitely getting that next time! Although the Mexican omelette I ordered was pretty awesome as well and my daughter loved her grilled cheese and mac and cheese. She also thought it was cute that the kids meals came with special names like the rocket ship, Mickey mouse pancakes, and several other Disney characters.

I've been to this restaurant a few times when I visit Michigan to see family, and I always enjoy myself. It has a very "mom and pop" feel, with good filling breakfast options and super sweet and friendly servers. I wish I lived closer and could stop by all the time!

Great food! A short drive! Service is great, you can tell they try so very hard!Cute decorations for each season, rarely have to wait. Food is good and filling, breakfasts and salads are my favorite.Small businesses are starting pop up near here. Several barbers, Salons like Revivel Salon, and a old fashioned hardware store.Check it out. Eat and support the other small businesses.

What a cute little place!! Everything we’ve had here has been absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. My mom and I drive all the way to Onsted from Jackson for their cheeseburger deluxe & fries. The burger is always hot and tender, the veggies are fresh and crisp. Fries are hot and crispy!! Staff is always friendly and prompt when ordering to go. Definitely worth the drive.

Hometown comfort food, service was fantastic! Deep fried mushrooms were excellent. Hot pork sandwich was tender and delicious. What amazing treasure to find in an out of the way small town! The mashed potatoes were NOT from a box! I will recommend to everyone!

Had a good breakfast with my buddy Tom. I had the meat omlett very good with surprise inside. Yes jalapeños that were not listed in menu. It was fine with me. I imagine someone not as spicy as I would have found it firey. Coffee was good and the bill was good. Was not busy when we were there. I do know from experience it is quite busy on the weekends. If you are in on the weekends as with any other place.Be considerate of others. Have your meal and move on so someone else can enjoy. By all means stop in and enjoy when in the area.Parking: Parking on busy days might be a challenge. Tom is handicapped but don't call him names. The sidewalk is ramped so getting to the door was no problem. Like many places there are to doors to navigate. Wheelchair accessibility: The sidewalk is gently sloped, getting the chair up to the door was not a problem. As always there are two doors to navigate. Often kind folks step up and help out. If not Tom and I have it worked out.

Was in town for faster horses. Came to Shugar Creek twice for breakfast. Food was delicious and definitely get your alot of food for the price. The staff was very friendly both mornings along with the locals we sat with. Great place to eat if you are in the area!

I really liked Shugar Creek restaurant. We were looking for something local to eat and enjoy a leisurely stroll around the Irish Hills area. It was a great little stop and we enjoyed the food. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this place for a bite if your in the area.

Our breakfast was delicious, just as we ordered.The Halloween decorations we're cute and fun. The waitress was quick to take our order and my coffee cup was refilled often without asking. We would recommend.

Been here almost an hour. Just got my food. And everything is cold..... Everything... Took less then 10 min to remake my meal.. So why did it take so long the first time? My waitress was more worried about her family sitting at the table next to us to realize my food was in the window for 30 minutes.We will not be coming back. Been coming here since i was a kid. Service has gone to $h!t

My favorite is country fried steak! You can get the breakfast version that comes with eggs or the lunch version that comes with fries. Both are worth getting.A nice old timey dining room and super nice waitresses.Locals often sit at large communal table.Beautiful small town appeal.

Great small town restaurant. Better than average burger. But the breaded mushrooms are the best I've ever had.Believe me on this one...I've been all over the entire eastern seaboard, gulf states and California. Nothing better!

First time here, and everything was amazing! Carrie was fun and took extra care of us making sure our coffee and drinks were always full. I had a BLT and it was perfect. Toasted and bacon had great flavor and it wasn't over loaded. My business partner had as he said "best chilli I've had in years". I followed up this amazing meal with homemade strawberry shortcake. If I get back in the area I will be back.
