First of all the view is incredible!!! Secondly, the wine is surprisingly good! We got two flights: one of their grown none sweet wines and then their grown dessert wines. Nice little change up!Worth the stop for good wine, good view, and good service.

We are full-time travelers and today we took a drive from Suttons Bay to Northport and back to see the sights. During our excursion, we decided to stop at Leelanau Wine Cellars Tasting Room to sample pours - five for five - a great deal. We were pleasantly surprised by the aroma and tastes of our selections. We purchased a few bottles for future consumption - the Limited Release Merlot Special Edition (dry red,) Baco Noir (full bodied dry red,) and Witches Brew Red (perfect served warm for colder evenings.) We'd also like to thank Jane, the tasting room associate, for the pours and the delightful banter. You added to the entire experience and we truly appreciate it!

People are super nice and very helpful. Love that the owner of this winery (even though they are popular) decides to keep his business where it started. One of the only places (if not the only place) where you can get free tastings or pay $7 and get to keep a souvenier crystal glass! I bought 6 bottles in the end. Great experience. Would return every time we're in the area.

Was a bit apprehensive to come here just for the fact that I see a ton of their products in store, figuring that anything that was there probably wasn’t as special as the smaller scale wineries around the area. I was very very wrong, as we had our best experience here. Plenty of selection, great prices, and a souvenir glass for only 5 bucks? Absolute deal! Our wine specialist was a well spoken and very helpful woman who made our day! Explaining everything that could possibly be explained to wine novices. The store is very beautiful and prices are very reasonable even for their select items they don’t sell anywhere but the flagship stores. Will definitely be back!

Leelanau Cellars is my absolute favorite wine! I happened to try their wine several years ago when I was browsing the Michigan wine selection at my local Meijer and I hardly choose any other wine since. Now, I am not a wine aficionado by any means, but I do love a good sweet wine and Leelanau definitely delivers! My husband and I scheduled a wine tasting when we were in the area which was very easy to do on their website. The tasting room was absolutely beautiful with stunning views of the bay. The woman who did our pours was phenomenal! I am so bad at remembering names so unfortunately, I can't give her the proper shout-out. I right away told her that I only preferred sweet wines and she was able to point me in the proper directions on the paper wine list (quite a bit to choose from on both the sweet and traditional red/white sides - way more of a selection than your local Meijer). We received 5 complimentary pours each (although I am pretty sure she gave us 1-2 more because she was full of recommendations). She also mixed their white sangria wine with the Lakeshore Farms Cranberry and I cannot recommend this combination enough! It was so good that I purchased a glass of the mix to enjoy on the patio and then bought some bottles of both (among others) to enjoy at home. Everything about our experience was wonderful and made me fall in love with the brand even more. Cannot wait to come back on our next trip up North!

Customer service was lacking on this visit. We were told by the pourer not to try particular wines based on her preferences not our own. She criticized our selections. We were at other wineries before this and received much better service and compliments on our selections. We were also rushed due to closing time nearing and left without making a purchase due to poor customer service. Won’t be back. So many better options in the area with better service.

Then, the wine tasting was fabulous---quality wines, very good prices. Don't miss this one, it's one of THE best wineries in the area!! ......... Visited one year later, and SO happy to find Annie. SHE IS THE GREATEST!

The place is small, they don't serve any food, not even crackers, and they haven't evolved like many of the other wineries to offer something more than just the same "6" wine styles that everyone else has. The wine tasting experience in Lelenau in general has changed including this place. We were the only ones there but the staff helping us with our wine tasting basically just poured drinks instead of talking to us about the wines we were picking and telling us about them as we tasted. The view here is pretty but not the best seating for the view.

If you like sweet wines then this is the place to go. Beautiful views of the Bay from their tasting room. But you have to ask for Annie to be your taster. She is so knowledgeable and fun. She doesn’t work on Tuesdays or Thursdays so come another day. You will have a blast.

Free tastings here which was the only one that we had found on this peninsula (other than Mawby). Really friendly staff and some wines are priced under $10 which is nice if you’re visiting multiple places and don’t want to break the bank. Amazing view here as well.

We always find well priced wine that tastes good-great here. This last visit was awesome because business was slow (weekday before memorial day) and the woman who conducted our tasting took the time to tell us about the wine and grapes. Beautiful view, nice people and wine in the $10 range (and below).
