I really was blessed to find this clean Ace location. I had went to Home Depot to find a product that I needed before the Home inspection occurred the following day but they didn't have what I needed. I ran a google search for hardware near me while in the area and Scheers populated. So to my surprise, the store was very clean and the staff was polite and very helpful. They had the product and also captured me as a new customer.

Needed to get a mower. They pulled the last one off the display for me and waited patiently while I pulled electronic coupons. Very cute Ace in the old style, even had popcorn for the kiddos.

The cashier Jaz at the Ace Hardware in Oak Park was exceptionally helpful!!! not only was she patient and able to hold an engaging conversation, she suggested items that would be needed with my purchase and made suggestions for upgrades. She is a great example of what customer service is supposed to be. A standard that we need to get back to. GREAT JOB JAZZZZ!!!!

They had ran out of the Pet safe salt. They were unsure when they would get more.Update: Thank you for your reply. However this was the second time that I had been to your store and it was sold out. Kind of hard to pre plan if you (the store) only get a small shipment and sell out in 2 days.

I Went to get a product I saw online, that was listed as available at this location. A nice young man directed me to the Mgr. or owner? He was extremely rude, and I felt as though I was in fact bothering him. He proceeds to tell me that the product I was looking for wasn't available. It actually was in the store, I pulled it up on my phone after a short debate as to it's availability; and showed the associate/Mgr. etc.. he did get the product I was in the store for. In the process he proceeds to "school" me as to why the repair I wanted to make would be unsuccessful. I didn't ask for a lecture, as I am fully aware of the process and the possible results of said repair. This visit left me with the impression that my business was not welcome, as a result I will not be returning to this location. Kindness goes a long way sir.

Normally, this place is good. But had a bad experience..I got keys made and none of them worked. I found out none of them worked the next day at work, which is near Grosse Pointe. I had to drive all the way back near my house to get the right keys. I found out that the girl gave me the wrong keys. Disappointed. Gas is too high to be driving for unnecessary issues.

Very knowledgeable, helpful staff. Prices are sometimes cheaper than the big box stores, and it's so much faster to find things, and you can always get help finding something. The popcorn is an extra bonus

This store is an example of perfection. After years of patronage, I can say it is always well stocked and well staffed with experts.While I consistently am happy with my visits, recently I had an exceptional experience. I was having an issue which left me rattled, but Devin and Ember were empathetic to my situation and helped me. It was unconventional, and took longer than average, but sincerely made my day. Two managers came by while they were assisting me, and allowed them to continue with minimal conversation, trusting they were doing what was best for the customer. It's refreshing to see management that trusts and takes care of their staff, and is the reason I believe that this location is so amazing.Thank you, again, for helping me on a bad day. You've won my patronage for life :)

They are very nice and helpful. I was able to ask a worker who was coming outside a question, and he answered it in a nice conversational manner. The young lady at the register was very nice. I was able to get what I needed and go quickly. Good Customer. Love It!

They actually had the hedge trimmer I wanted and at a reasonable price when the big box stores didn't.We usually go here, or Tony's Ace hardware, for when we need parts for a project. We split our business between the two so we can support both local businesses.

Trash manager wouldn't allow me to exchange shoddy/defective tool for one that worked despite having a receipt and having purchased the item less than 30 minutes prior because I used it. Literally scoffed at me. I asked the gaudy old scarecrow managing the joint how I was supposed to know they were worthless garbage before using them, and she repeated "I can't take these back, you used them!" I said I would never shop at another Ace. Trash store with a dumpster human managing. The rest of the staff seemed nice.

Great for gardening supplies, paints, tools and building supplies. Love shopping here over the big box stores. Family vibe and great service all around.

I needed paint matched from an old paint can lid. It was originally purchased at Lowe's but when I took it there they weren't able to match it. I took the lid to Ace and they were able to make a perfect match! The customer service here is always excellent. Thank you!

Staff is aways super helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. The store is always spotless. Stock is always robust with wide variety. But if what I need isn't in they will order and have within a day or two, but that's only happened to me once and I've been here a lot. i recently used the curbside service due to quarantine and my order was ready in an hr. Thanks Brian!!! :)
