So first we went to the bottles and glass shoot so we could get rid of our bottles and let me tell y'all....ALL of the machines weren't working and it was very trashy there,so we called for service and you can literally here the speaker saying "customer service at" and nobody came,we stood there waiting for someone to pick up the phone for 20 MINS and nobody came. It took a guy going into the store and finding someone for a woman to answer the phone with the most annoyed voice. Now we went into the store to actually shop, and when we were asking questions, the employees would either sigh and/or roll their eyes,like I get you are tired but wow. The clearance isle had a lot of things that were either open or half ate. So needless to say,this Kroger is TERRIBLE and filled with people who do not care enough to work properly but still show up with an attitude.

KROGER OPENS AT 6AM THIS KROGER THINKS ITS OK TO EVERYDAY TO ONLY HAVE SELF CHECKOUT OPEN AND LET THE CASHIERS COME IN AFTER 8 am THATS RIDICULOUS This cashier is rude and have headphones in as she works I was literally her first customer and she had an attitude and purposely rang up all the items and instead of calling for a bagger, she asked me to help her bag the items when she did not bag one item LOOK AT HOW SHE RANG UP ALL THE ITEMS AND PUT THEM ON TOP OF EACH OTHER the manager says they don’t have a cashier until after 8 AM. This is an every day thing.so when this girl Jaxson came in she purposely went to the very last register and I couldn’t see that it was open and no one notified me I was waiting over an hour for a cashier to ring my 100 plus items that could not be rung up on self checkout even though the Kroger employees kept saying it and so I was supposed to go to self check out and bring him over 100 items and then when was I supposed to do with my transaction failed because I’m on self check out so I went to the manager to complain and she does look this interesting it just kept saying OK OK after the manager told me they won’t have a cashier till after eight the manager went to every single register to open the cash register, and I asked her where she going to open up and she said no

I shop here on weekends and the women in the bakery area was so rude to me. I was half sleep that morning and I would always say good morning. But she demanded me to say good morning and was very rude about it before she help me. You never know what a person is going through so my intentions was not to say good morning just had a lot on my mind. Please stay professional at all times because you never no what a person is going through. Love. And by the way I did say good morning to her but she stated she did not hear me. I was wearing a mask at the time.I think it’s best not to just say nothing and just shop. Love the store!!

Literally am being harassed at this Kroger by the ap office. I get stopped leaving probably once or twice a week at this location. I’ve literally never been stopped anywhere else. I always have bags, always was just clearly at self checkout. I’m either being singled out by one employee continuously for some unknown reason or it’s a racial thing. I honestly suspect this stores ap might be discriminating against people.

I shopped here today for the first time ! The store is huge , clean and made me feel safe with a security guard at the door around 8pm. At this time of year it’s gets dark pretty early so this was helpful . The shelves were stocked ! I found everything I needed ! I used self check out and was in and out . I’ll be back .

Beautiful store. Well stocked. I tried to check out but the register would only let me ring up 6 items. Then I had to wait for an associate. It wasn't real busy but I waited quite a while. No one came. People in back of me were getting pissed. I put my stuff back in the cart and went to customer service. Finally gave up and left. The most important thing in retail is GET the money.This store sucks. Went to Aldi's. Was in and out quickly. Saved $$$$$$$$.

Kroger had a hiring fair and my son went. After speaking to one of the managers he was told, someone would call and let him know about the job. Two weeks go by and nothing. So a called was made to the HR Manager just for a follow up, because they could have called and said the positions has been filled. Well I speak to Sheree the manager and she was so nice on the phone. She tells me, she can see my son’s application and they hadn’t called him because of his time availability and if we wanted to change it, to go in and update it. I tell her we will and she tells me to call her back after we make the change. She ends the conversation by saying call back at 5 pm because she has orientation to facilitate. I call back at 5pm and is told she has left for the day. I call the next day bright and early and is told she is only there on Wednesday. You guess it and I call on Wednesday and is told she is unavailable and there isn’t anyone else to speak with, So I ask the person who answered if they are still hiring and is told Yes. Two more weeks go by and my son calls and is told by Sheree they don’t have an application from him, while I am looking at 3 of them on file at their website very discouraging and disheartening , why give business to a place like this? If the people in charge can’t be honest and transparent, why give them my business. Kroger just lost my business.

Typical grocery store. A good amount of self checkout stations, but the cashier stations they have are hardly ever running. If you're lucky, they'll have two cashiers working along with the self checkout stations. They do have personnel at the self checkout in case people require help. If sale items are low on the shelves, don't expect them to be restocked anytime soon.

Waited at self checkout for fifteen minutes. Line was twelve people deep, stretched almost all the way down an aisle, and didn’t move. The staffed registers were moving even slower. I was worried about my food getting to an unsafe temperature so I had to leave. Only recommended if you have all day to shop.

Mar 27, 2024 8:20am... this wicked female was sweeping the floors. As I was shopping she pushed the floor mop against my foot. Without saying " EXCUSE ME "... She said I was in her way, when I was in a particular isle shopping items....she became very abrupt after I took a 📸 of her and said I was going to REPORT HER, then she got into my face as if she wanted to STRIKE ME....This is a very unprofessional environment for people like her. She and the store management should be FIRED for this kind a nature....Is this the kind of employee he let run a store?

Oak Park Kroger on Greenfield Rd is a big upgrade over the one that used to be in Southfield on Greenfield. It is unfortunately still lacking as far as inventory is concerned but that's too be expected with the pandemic still going on. However, prices are quite a bit higher than Meijer or Wal-Mart, baskets aren't always available and sometimes you can find the baskets at McDonald's or even at the Aldi next door. Place is not always kept up as it should be but understandable because they stay short handed.There are 2 giant issues that I have with this location however. This location now closes at 10pm but you can often find the doors to this place closed for entry at 9:45pm which is ridiculous to me. They instruct the guard at the door to tell you to come back tomorrow, 15 min early. The 2nd issue is every now and then, there is one older lady that is there in the morning that has a bad attitude. Too early in the morning to be that grumpy, especially when someone greets you with a smile. Overall this is a decent Kroger with decent people working at it but as of now, closing early, not enough stock and that bad attitude of Ms. Pearl I think her name is, drags this down to 3 stars for me

They're either short staffed or don't care about bottle returns department. Produce is usually rotten on the shelves. Never fully stocked in the meat department. The Sushi station is the best part about this Kroger.

Recycling room on the right side of the building is seriously neglected for cleaning. Out of the five or so plastic and can bins, three were beeping and said full and the rest said “sorry this machine is closed.” Two people were there and waiting since they had already called someone.

Starting not to like this place. Not only do customers have to scan their own items, but if you are making a large multiple item purchase, they only have the small u-scan registers open. You run out of room to bag your items, which means that you will have to rearrange your basket in order to put some of the bags in so that you can continue your purchase. So inconvenient.

If I need to do a quick grocery run, I can almost always count on this Kroger to have what I need, especially at reasonable prices. The workers are always friendly and it's very clean.

It smells weird when you walk in, their self check out machines are raggedy and they made this poor lady work like 3 separate lanes of it smh I was there way longer than I needed to be because of technical difficulties, but the staff was very nice and the store is beautiful, fix tour self check out machines!

This Kroger is dirty and unkept. Had retrieve my own shopping cart from the parking lot. Saw little old ladies trying to shop with hand baskets. Lines to check out are as bad as Wal-Mart. The prices of the few items I bought were double that of Meijer prices. It's the same Everytime I've tried this Kroger. It's a shame because it's right down the street from my home. I think that was the last time.

Called to ask a question. Phone rang for 9 minutes. Went INTO the store around noon on a weekday and the entire customer service desk is closed. You can hear the phone ringing and repeated announcements over the PA that there were calls at the service desk and not a soul went to answer. The store is clean though.

I just need updates why I can’t work there my background completed I did my 4 day training I was ready to start my 1st day of work I called multiple times I can’t talk to anyone about why I can’t work there .. it’s nothing on my back ground bad it’s been completed other wise I wouldn’t start my training. I was ready to work .they sent me home on my first day there now my girlfriend mad at me Becuz I don’t have a job .can anyone help me solve the issue

This place was beautiful when it first opened. You can tell by the photos. Unfortunately, the neighborhood has residents that come to the store to do nothing else other than trash it. I don’t understand people that purposely put items in the wrong place, especially refrigerated items. But here’s a photo of pretty much the only section of the store that stays neat and clean.

Can/bottle return area is DISGUSTING and employees are RUDE.I normally shop next door at Aldi, but there are times when Aldi doesn't have what I need, so I thought I'd try Kroger. I figured it would be great because it's a known name, and literally next door!I was sorely mistaken.I went in to return cans and was rudely "greeted" by an employee who snapped that the recycle center wasn't inside the store. I hadn't approached her, yet she acted like I had interrupted her day, and I was a huge inconvenience. She grabbed the front of my cart and started marching me toward the opposite door and pointed me in the direction of the can/bottle return. I had to go back outside, walk across the front, around the corner, and go to the back of the building to get to the return center. A bit of a trek, but no big deal. But let me tell you - every return room has its own aroma, but saying I was assaulted by the stench when I walked into that room would be putting it gently. Not only was the smell nauseating, but there were puddles on the floor, carts were left and crammed in there, there was garbage all over, and only 2 of plastic/can machines were working. On top of that, the machine I was using kept refusing cans, despite the fact that it had accepted identical cans prior. The room looked like it hadn't been touched by an employee for DAYS.After I finished my business and had gone home, I realized I had lost a personal item. I called Kroger to enquire if anyone had turned it in. The first person that answered didn't even let me finish my sentence before cutting me off and transferring me. The next employee that answered (presumably the lost and found) barely took the time to listen to what I had to say before abruptly dismissing me and hanging up.The store itself might be nice and shiny, but don't let it fool you. I'm sorry, putting up with that disaster and those attitudes is just NOT worth it, especially with the prices they charge. I had hoped and expected more from Kroger.

This Kroger is just awful. I was so excited to have one close by but this one has bare shelves, a disorganized layout, unhelpful employees, and if you don’t love self check out or waiting for 45 minutes on line to check out don’t go here. The employees are rude and prefer to sit and chat with each other than to actually help customers with anything, even if you catch one not chatting you’re guaranteed they won’t know where anything is.Doing a pick up order from here is also a joke. They will lie and say it’s not in stock, they will only put one item when you request multiple, they make substitutions even when you say not to, or they charge you and don’t give you what you ordered at all.I honestly don’t know why Kroger corporate doesn’t step in. As an avid Kroger shopper this location gives the Kroger corporation a really bad name.

Today Tenia was super nice and helpful. I was standing in line and she told me come over to self checkout. She scanned all my groceries and bagged them even though she didn't have to. I forgot my Kroger discount card. She scanned her card to ensure I received my discount. I appreciate her awesome customer service and the fact she went above and beyond 🙏🏼👏🏻👍🏻💯😊. We need more kind people like her.

Very nice store, and I’m not sure how much can be attributed to the management as hiring today is…difficult. But every single time I come here there are huge lines, they’re low on stock, and sometimes the produce is…not the greatest. There’s usually only one bank of self-checkouts open and maybe two other regular checkout lanes. The employees are usually surprisingly pleasant considering how overworked they seem to be. Hoping this will improve with time but man I almost dread coming here. If it wasn’t so close I’d be going somewhere else.

You can always count on this place to have checkout lines backed up at least 2 aisles, it is this way every time I come here, this seems to stem from people going through self check out with a zillion items (which they kinda have to cause there is usually maybe one person actually physically checking people out??), kinda the same for the Kroger in royal oak as well but that one is still better, not sure why they don’t staff at least 3 people to actually physically check people out with large carts

This place is messy and dirty. Almost everyone I have encountered has been rude or dismissive. Lines are miles long. Guest services is never open. I highly suggest driving elsewhere or going to Aldi across the parking lot.
