I have been to this store before and I love it, it's very close to me and on my way to areas that I usually fish, but the last 7 times I have stopped there during open hours they were closed with no signage with a reason. Due to them not being open I then had to drive to a different city completely out of my way to get bait. Very aggravating planning your day out and 7 times having your day ruined. I will not be returning due to their unreliability.

called and asked about a particular product. Said he had it. I said I would be there in a little bit to pick it up and when I got there 15 min later store was closed at 11 30 am? I have had issues with this store not being open its listed hours and now it appears even when you call thats no guarantee they will stay open. Never again... Lake view marine and tackle in Grand Haven for all my needs now. Worth the extra 5 min drive and heck the prices are lower too.

Called ahead of time for minnow availability. Was told “have minnows come on in”. I drove a half hour to get there, walk in and was greeted by the most unfriendly poor customer service person. I was told “we have not had minnows all week”. It wasn’t even worth a debate. Since he didn’t ask if he could help me with anything else I took my business elsewhere. The next place has minnows, so I bought 4 dozen, two rods, and some other small tackle.Not a way to run a small business when you run off a customer that spent $300 someplace else.AVOID !!

Been going here since I was 12. Not anymore. Hardly a baitshop, anymore. Doesn't open until 9am, assuming the owner gets there on time. Half the time it's closed all weekend. Cant tell ya how many fishing trips were ruined because of this... Then the shop itself closes at like 2pm! Before anyone is out of work! When you actually DO make It in there, the man at the counter makes you feel like you dont belong in there. Very short, little interaction. No "thank you" no, "can I help you?" Doesnt seem to value his customers. Makes me feel like he doesn't want me in there. I've been driving to Lakeview Marine and Tackle, in Grand Haven. Only 15-minutes away, and worth the extra drive for the extra service.

Willis and the rest of the staff are the most knowledgeable fisherman in the area, and it shows in the detail and organization of their shop. Anything you need is right there, along with useful information on when and where to use it. I drive 15 miles just to get there, and won't go anywhere else.

Wish you guys would be open more. I'm trying to be on the water/ice by 7/8am at latest. You don't even open till 9am & Closed on Sundays. Most people who work can only fish on Sat and Sundays. They wanna be on ice at sunrise with bait. You guys are really driving the sale of wescos baits and pushing anglers sales to other stores. Hope you start thinking little more about the fiahing community's needs. We need a bait shop that's open earlier and on Sundays. Atleast for the morning fishing.Taking my business elsewhere once again today. You guys would have had my sale if opened earlier.

Love getting bait there but it would be nice if it said opens at 8am and you drive all the way out to get your bait from them and it’s 830 and there still not open please be open when you say your open

Willis and Cory always have what you need , including HONEST fishing report which can be hard to come by. At fish-on you can get a report and often see the thunderduck or Tammytoo on the lake right where they told you to go.

Completely ignored! Asked about fishing in the area, and the guy behind the counter walked away, the other employee said lake trout with a laugh then disregarded us!
