Ever since they got rid of that rude guy this I place is the absolute best. Everyone who works there knows what their talking about and is very helpful and I would gladly pay a dollar or two more than home Depot if I don't have to drive all the way to Lapeer.

Do not use for U-Haul services. Was told by a female employee and U-Haul I could drop off truck at this location. Show up next day to do so and apparently the schedule was switched and the male employee now working the morning shift refuses to accept the truck or make an exception because it was "too big for the lot because snow is coming and we have nowhere to push it." It's the 1st of October and going to be 81 degrees today and there's another identical truck next to it. Completely unprofessional and will not do any business with again.Edit: Thank you for your response. While I understand that occasionally your associates are unable change an existing contract, this was not the case. I contacted Self Serve Lumber first, asking the associate about dropping the truck off at your location. The associate even checked with the onsite manager to make sure it would be ok. I was told where to park the truck on site when I got there. I then contacted U-Haul who gave me instructions to change the drop off location, all it would take was a phone call from the drop off location. The associate I spoke with the next day at Self Serve Lumber was not the same and seemed very annoyed that I was attempting to drop off the truck. He also made absolutely no attempt to help find somewhere else to drop off or remedy the situation, which is the reason for this review.

Amazing customer service. Called about a few items close to closing time due to an emergency. They were nice enough to have it ready for checkout as soon as I got there. Definitely went above and beyond. Highly recommend.

Ketan was very helpful helping us find what we need. 1 thing they didn't have and he offered to call the Marlette store and ask them to put the item aside for us. He didn't just point to the aisle needed he went and found it. Brandon was also very helpful assisting my husband with questions about tile work. 2 of the best employees self serve lumber has ever had . Thanks guys!

It’s not very often I go places and can tell the employees are genuinely happy to help out. The guys at north Branch self serve lumber are awesome with tons of knowledge they are willing to share. You can always count on a good laugh out of them too. Fantastic establishment .

First came in and the owner was bad mouthing the bakery saying how overpriced it is yet everything in his store is triple the price. They offer uhaul services which they know nothing about. Save your money and go to homedepot!!!!!

For a small store it sure does have a lot of what I need already there and for the things they don't have they can usually order or grab from their other location.

Always have what I need and it's close to home. Kyle the manager is the best,very helpful and friendly always smiling. Makes suggestion on what you might need with the products you are buying so that it saves you a trip for something you might have forgotten.

Price's were inline with all the other big chains but didn't have varieties the other carry. Not alot of choices to compare with, but can help when your in a bind. Salesforce were were very knowledgeable and right on hand, you didn't have to wait in line to ask them a question or for help,or directions around to find a product!☺

The manager could be a little more friendlier. He is all business and runs a little bit on the rude side. Just waits on you and acts likes he's done with you so move on out the door please.

I haven’t ever been to self serve lumber and I won’t be returning due to the lack in professionalism. I’m a female that needed assistance and was clearly a huge inconvenience. When I asked for help in the lumber yard I was told, “this is not how this works.” Sorry I couldn’t lift 100lb bags of cement...and that I didn’t know what expansion joints or mesh wire looked like. I was sent with a list of items and made to feel like an idiot. Next time I’ll drive elsewhere.
