What a good visit. We went to get chicken salad which is one of our favorite foods. The young lady that waited on us at the deli had a fantastic personality. She stopped washing the case windows asked us if she could help us. My husband joked with her and she had witty come backs. She didn't have a name badge. But thank her for being so nice

All the employees we have dealt with have been more than willing to help us and give that extra care that helps make our shopping experience easier. The one outstanding cashier however by the name of Tori is top notch in every way. She deserves special notice and a tip from management for her excellent customer care.

The prices are ridiculous. The person in charge of online orders thinks they aren't on any delivery apps, which is obviously false. Nobody in the store can help, because nobody there understands reality. They make being disabled more difficult.

I am new to the area, and I there’s no Martin’s Super Market where I am from. Shopping here was a very pleasant experience. The cashier and bagger were helpful and thorough. The store was very clean, and the food was fresh!

My previous 5 star is being put to a 3. Older lady that was working self checkout today always has the worst attitude and completely ruins my experience every time I interact with her. I needed her assistance and politely said “I think I need ya for this one ma’am” and she says “it will tell me” and then stands up and points at the light and goes “you see that light, when it changes then I know you need help. Okay?”. Man, I’m sorry I interrupted your scratch off on your shift! Not like a customer needed help at YOUR job. She even said “I’m just seeing if I have to come here again”. If you hate your job so much, which you obviously do, just leave! No need to pass your frustrations on to the customers.

Martin's has been my preferred grocery source for years, and my family's as well. I eat a lot of vegetables and niche health foods, all of which I can find here. I've also always been a huge lover of the deli, I regularly buy sushi, chicken, meat, desserts, and all kinds of delicious items from the front deli area. They also have a lot of fresh seafood (i remember when they had the lobster tank!) which I eat a lot of as well. For the most part the staff is super friendly, pleasant, non-invasive, and more than a few have worked there for many years. I also love to see they still hire teenagers for the checkout! They're all well-mannered and pleasant to be around (stark contrast to the workers at Walmart). Recently they've been renovating, which I'm so excited about as it's long overdue! So far the new Smokehouse section and the Bagel area in the bakery are really yummy as well (shout out to the older male who works the Smokehouse area, he is AWESOME). I also wanted to add there have been many times that we've tried shopping at Shelton's, Harding's, or Walmart instead, and we always end up back at Martin's. There are many reasons for this - location, experience, prices, selection, and quality are just some of them. Thank you, Martin's!

If you’re any different shade of beige, you need to beware. I wasn't aware of a policy about self checkout cash back, and a gold tagged, gray-haired, & karen-esque manager rudely informed me multiple times about it. I explained that I wasn't aware and wouldn't have done it in the first place if I had known there was an ATM in the store. After that she approached me 3 more times to tell me to get a money order done, use the ATM, and reiterate the policy like as if I was an imbecile. Ever since SpartanNash took over Martin's took a turn for the worst!Edit: I will not be contacting your customer service team. SpartanNash does not care. The company has had many instances of r*c*sm, h*m*ph*b*a, and s*xual h*r*ssm*nt amongst young female employees that were never addressed. I know many former employees who have talked to SpartanNash corporate only to receive the blame themselves! The company only wants to protect the assets that keep their reputation white. ......Oops, I meant right.

Store now uses a robot to check shelf stock. There's at least two positions eliminated if you include two shifts. I wonder if the cost of maintenance and hiring people to fix them will break even on the money saved from not filling the positions down the road. Oh and the loss of sales from my wife and I no longer shopping there.

SOME of their items are a bit expensive. But I buy the store brands & what's on sale & I don't do too badly there!The store is CLEAN, WELL LIT & THE AISLES ARE LARGE ENOUGH TO ACTUALLY MOVE AROUND IN! Their selection is WONDERFUL & their products are of the highest QUALITY!I DO wish they had more cashiers though & were not moving to all self-checkouts like everyone else.But, overall, not a bad place to shop! 4.5 stars! 😊👍

Ordered rib tips for lunch today & was very disappointed. They tasted like they had been warmed up from days before & were very tough to chew. Don't think I'll have them again 😕

The Starbucks never has Bacon Gouda sandwiches...out every week..is this ordinary rocket science??? It's a breakfast sandwich..order more!! If I can't get breakfast why shop there in the morning?? All other Starbucks are able to stock..

Produce is usually pretty nice, meat department needs help meat usually has brown spots and lately is scarce. Deli is nasty have several people who stand around and talk I asked for 1 lb ham,person took handful of already sliced threw it in bag ( not the first time)when I arrived home ham was in a ball,it would be nice if the employees cared but they clearly do not. In my opinion store is going down hill store manager needs checked

Nice new renovations in Nile’s but slow checkout service. When talking to staff, was told management was cutting back hours. Need to do better job in balancing cost with customer service.

I came in yesterday to rent a vacuum cleaner the small one and I was literally profiled by one of the employees! She asked me for two types of identification granted I understand if asked for id but two I laughed because I thought she was playing and she doubled looked at me and said I need two forms. So I showed her my dl and ss and she matched it. I was super blown away. Today I came in and there were two super kind ladies that helped me out. So I asked how many identification do we need to rent it and she said only ur ID. So then why was I asked for two identification!!! I feel so disappointed and disrespectful. Why was I asked for two!? Was it because I’m Hispanic? This is so unprofessional and disrespectful. And this should have not happened at all!!

Stopped in to buy some ice cream, whipped cream and ice for a party. Martin's card didn't work properly on sale items. Had to go to customer service counter wait 10 minutes in line. I thought I was fortunate and at least got the customer service manager Ty. However, after four tries and 20 minutes later she couldn't figure out how much or how to do a refund. Had a $16.97 bill receipt. I was overcharged $5.98!!!!!! Should have been $10.99 after four tries she couldn't even do simple basic math!!!!! For 20 minutes I told her what the amount was I needed $5.98 back! Four times she did it wrong and gave me the incorrect amount back! When I said you've done this four times, I told you the refund due is $5.98 she yelled at me and said don't raise your voice to me! This is supposed to be a manager can't even do simple basic math yells at customers and then gets mad when they correct them!!! I can see why Martin's ratings are dropping overall to a three-star!!!Even Walmart can do better customer service than this!!!

These 3 stars are really just for the Deli workers. Martins over all does a good job. Deli workers are usually always rude, make it very obvious they aren’t having a good day. Have you waiting longer than you should. They seem extremely unhappy to be there. I’ll be standing at the Deli waiting to be tended on and 2-3 workers will literally make eye contact with me and still not say a word or approach me. I’ve heard many of them complain about being there as well. Some have definitely given me attitude. Just not the friendliest staff they have.

The recycling is a bit of a pain when the weather is hot there's usually a long line to get in they have a Guard controlling access to the machines. Probably not coming back for the recycling here.

They now offer a "Self scan area". The meat is awesome 👍. The service is awesome 👍. Very clean too! Great place to shop for my groceries 👍

Nice clean grocery store with great meat, seafood, bakery, and deli! Martins has a little high prices but always has great sales and specials! The one thing I find very uneasy is how while in the store you feel like your every move is watched and tracked and to the point if you use the bottle return system to return bottles and cash your $20 limit in and have more money on the return slips and go to use them to pay at the register the cashiers get and call on the phone informing them that this customer has already received their daily $20 deposit return limit like whoa! I guess it’s not a bad thing just made me feel like I have absolutely no privacy!

Was just at Martin's in Niles. Had difficulty with their click it and save, was told by the cashier that next time I should go to the self checkout....Pretty bad customer service when you make the big box stores look good.

This is my go to store for many years! They go above and beyond the norm on a regular basis. Tonight was a perfect example. The store manager, Bill came to my aid without missing a beat. I underestimated how much I was purchasing. He left and came back with a large cart, so I could continue my shopping. Instead of going on his way, he took my over flowing small cart to the front. Then came back to let me know my cart was waiting for me on lane 6. My cashier, Virginia, was very courteous and professional. And Kira, the bagger was fast, efficient and even helped me get my carts of groceries to my car safely. In a uncertain time for our world, it is the nice to know there is still people and companies that care to go above and beyond.

What you would expect from Martins. The selection is always good. Prices are usually fair and customer service is good. If needing groceries please skip the other big dirty store in town and go to Martins. You won’t be disappointed. *they always have more than one checkout lane open*
