On this date 6/5/2023, came into the New Haven store for an exchange on an item that I bought, and it was torn.Went down an isle to find a manager, and she was stocking with another employee, I addressed to her about the even exchange, and at that point a customer was up front and needed help. She then proceeded to yell loudly "I'll be right there!" in my ear!At that point, I had to leave the store with an excruciating headache due to the fact that I have tinnitus in my ears.Will "NOT EVER" come back to this store again!!!Thank you Dollar General for making such an easy task...a horrible experience!

Glad those with nasty reviews got them out of their way, Jenn and her team tried her best with what they had. Now the store is being remodeled. Let’s go out of way, and show some positivity to the new look and the hard work the team put in this location 💕

I LOVE this store (the staff except the one with the colored hair and bad attitude ) but I HATE the new remodel check out .. If you have multiple orders with money and credit just go somewhere else . I used to go here multiple times a week so I could avoid the inconvenience of big stores BUT now I just go to meijers /Walmart 😞 most of the time

Every time I go into this location it’s a complete disaster not to mention there are carts full of stuff that are always in the aisle way makes it very difficult to shop. The Richmond location is much nicer cleaner and organized I’ll continue to shop there

Went to many places to try and find jello locally and this is the only place that had it! Not very much variety, but the staff was quick and friendly with great music taste. Good store for a quick stop.

This location continues to be horrible. Barely anything on the shelves, stacked boxes of product blocking the aisles with stock that hasn’t been put away. Not easy to navigate or buy anything because nothing is accessible or available.

Dropped off an important package at this location, was told it would be picked up that day. Checked the tracking information 2 days later and it wasn't picked up yet, called up there. The lady tells me she only has 1 package to be picked up still and everything else is gone already. I went up there and there's my package still sitting there along with about 7 other packages. She said they'll be picking it up today, I have vital medical equipment in those packages and if they're not received soon I'll be in the hospital. I will never trust that place or that woman again. Will never be back.

Girl with blue hair is extremely rude unfriendly always has an attitude problem and blames customer for things being in the wrong spots love this dollar general but she makes it a bad experience

This place is alright. It has gotten better then when I first started coming here. The staff was rude, not in the correct uniform and sometimes on their phone at the register. I know this because I used to manage at another location. They just hire whoever at this location. They were completely out of dairy product for 2/3 weeks. When asked they told me it was because of their rep. No, as a store manager you make sure you have an order coming in or you call the reps boss. Should not be out of milk for that long. Not sure who the store manager is but from my experience that store could use some help.

Very convenient in New Haven, Michigan. Very reasonable prices. When things go on sale, they tend to run out of things fast. It's a great location to grab things when you don't have time to go grocery shopping at the Kroger, Walmart, or Meijers. I'm glad to have it nearby... Staff is very friendly.

Do Not Go Here! Don't shop here too long! They called the cops for shopping too long! I spent over $220.00 As a matter of fact this Dollar General should be shut down!

I just witnessed Deb the cashier verbally assault this poor woman for leaving an empty cart inside the store for the next shopper! She actually came outside and yelled at her. I sure hope they caught that on camera....If this is what happens over an empty cart...can you imagine how she would react to me bumping into something with my wheelchair!?!?

Apparently newer "technology" is not this places area of expertise. But I would expect that when a customer is literally in front of you trying to explain how loading a cashapp card works you would at least attempt to listen. I told the woman behind the counter 7 times you have to scan this barode im showing you and she insisted repeatedly on swiping my card. I said that won't work. She swipes it again. I say you have to scan this. She says it won't let her. I said try again. She swipes again. I said you have to scan this. She gets an attitude about her system, not letting her? Like...what? Did I just confuse you with 1+1 =2 to the point your blaming your janky system? Tells me to go to rite aid down the road. I had to drive down a few more miles to 711 who, when I showed them the barcode scanned it took the money, and I was out of there in seconds...tadaaaa...

Thank you for opening this store as you know there are zero other options to shop nearby.. For that reason I'm assuming that's why prices are as high as they are.. 3$ for gallon milk is very steep but my cat food brand is priced as Wal-Mart prices so thank you.. All the girls that work here are so sweet & helpful

The store was very organized. The cashier was the only one I saw in the store and she greeted me. She also knew where an item was at I was looking for. Great experience and great customer service...

The cashier has the same name as me. So when another worker called her name, I was like you know me😂 great service. Store was packed full. Probably the nearest one I saw ever.

A little too much yellow and black going on in there, need some other colors. Besides that, DG has a wonderful selection of cereals, ranging from Apple Jack's to Wheaties. Get yo breakfast on peoples!

Always have just what I'm looking for and the pricing is great. The employees are the best around, always friendly and they are funny always making a joke and making it a relaxing and enjoyable trip

Need to fix parking lot. Has tire divets which caused my 300 to almost bottom out. Slow service, noticed only 1 work so when she had to use bathroom everyone had to wait.

I shop at alot of dollar generals and the new one in New Haven has changed quite a bit. They open at 8. Most are 9.
