Upgraded to 5 stars. I dont know what changed but this has become one of the friendliest businesses in town. I attribute it to the you g man working who knows so much and is very very helpful. What to go guys!

I always find what I need and staff is helpful if I cannot find what I am looking for. It's nice to have a hardware store that's 10 minutes away vs having to drive to St. Joe's or Michigan City.

Convenient to run here instead of big box store but is a Little pricey. I usually avoid unless I am in a pinch and am working in the area and am in need of something to finish up a job. Great people though and service is always good.

This is an outstanding hardware store that is a blend of “old school” and modern inventory. Every time I have been there I have been greeted courteously at the door and taken directly to the product I was looking for (even when I didn’t know exactly what I was looking for). I like it much better than the ubiquitous “big boxes”

Great local store that always has what I need without having to drive all the way to Michigan City or Benton Harbor. Plus their outside sign is always clever.3 year update.....3 years later and I still stand by my original review. They got what you need in a pinch!

Beware..the young man that works there..does not know how to make keys..I had to make 3 trips there. Then they refunded me..and also blamed me and said it must be my key..lol. It definitely was not my fault..at all..Laporte store was great the young man there actually wanted to help after I told him about my experience in new buffalo. What do you know..all my keys worked. Laporte has my business. I will not be going to new buffalo. I can't believe the owner is ok with this.

The owner has the knowledge and experience that can really help; from the DIY amateur up to experienced trades. The store is well stocked and clearly marked. Prices are competitive. Staff is friendly and efficient. I would rather give my business to this local effective businessman than deal with the uninformed sales staff of the big corporate box stores.

The person that helped me out was helpful enough, just not very friendly. Must have been having a bad day. I’m glad they had what I wanted but I don’t think they much cared if you came back or not.I’d just like to add that not one employee had on a mask even though they are required in public spaces. I just think that is so disrespectful to others not to mention selfish. Why support a local business if they can’t make the effort to support you.

I was working on a project in Union Pier and I needed a few plumbing fittings to finish my project. The store was close by and they had what I was looking for well marked in a bin. As I can in to the parking lot (picture on page) I saw the sign "Girls Scout cookies and Manly tools" We bought some cookies and also some Lion mints for only $.050 a pack.

Very good hardware store . For sure has anything anyone would need. I'm a plumber and go there all the time and they haven't one time didn't have what I needed. So go there before traveling .

Been here one time, I'm from Florida and after going to three different towns and different hardware stores they deliver the goods very good and helpful and match dark colors and product to the customers needs and expectations I come up here once a year to do work this is now my favorite place and go to store.

Normally friendly and helpful. Just don't ever go close to their closing time. (So, you need to know they close earlier than most stores). They stalk you and turn rude.

Surprisingly good variety of stuff prices are going to be above the big box stores but honestly not as bad as you might assume. People are really friendly too
