My wife and I came the day after Christmas and it was perfect! We had such an amazing stay. I love the suites, with the kitchen inside! Will definitely come again for sure!Rooms: Rooms were wonderful. Spacious, and nice kitchen!Safety: Seems to be a very safe area.

The room was clean, a fresher smell when opening the door would be helpful. Was a little musty smell.The massage was awful. She never asked what kind of massage I wanted or what kind of oil I prefer. She started directly a depth massage, but without a technique.When finished she didn't provide a warm towel to remove the oil front my body.For the cost you can find a better place!We were trying to pay with a gift card, and they were arguing with us on how to use it. Until the owner's daughter came out.They knew in advance. We made them aware at the moment of the reservation. . Hopefully a credit shows up.

The wife and myself stayed in the Galien suite and was more than impressed with our stay. We celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary. I recommend this suite if you are looking for a romantic get away. Gas fire place was cozy due to the weather being cooler. The two person hot tub in the room had plenty of room and lots of hot water. The jets was plenty powerful/impressive and was very relaxing after a long day out touring and sight seeing. The suite was perfect in size, clean and worth the cost. King size bed was very comfortable. Property well maintained and enjoyed sitting on the deck which was attached to our suite over looking a beautiful court yard. Perfect location close to the expressway and only a few minutes to Indiana. Close to town and lake Michigan. Thanks for the hospitality and will be back and will recommend to our family and friends. If i could give more than 5 stars i would!!!!!!

I seriously hate writing this review! That's just me being selfish tho! 😆 I LOVED our first stay so much I fear more will find this place and make future bookings a nightmare! The New Buffalo Inn is now our special spot! The check-in process to our Goodrich room did require a short phonecall to reset the door code after too many failed attempts. Def could have been user error tho. Wouldn't have impacted my review either way. The family owned inn has done a fabulous job with creating an accepting, peaceful, and relaxing getaway! They should be very proud.Upon opening the door I couldn't stop commenting on how "cute" everything was. It was too perfect! The small decorative style choices was just the cherry on top!I can't say enough about the overall accomodations! Being a cold Michigan evening in January, we decided to stay in. Started with a stop at the local market right on the corner. We picked up food supplies. Otherwise, the kitchenette had all we needed for small taco night. After, we enjoyed the highly recommend jetted tub. Lemme tell you, its the best! The linens, throughout, were clean and smelled of being freshly laundered. Previous reviews mentioned comfort of the bed. We have slept on worse and are versatile in the firmness in which we can sleep comfortably. It's a firm, firm one for sure. The fireplace heated the room quickly and was perfect after a long soak in the tub!Overall, the New Buffalo Inn & Spa did not disappoint. We are excited for our next stay, warmer beach weather! Hopefully get to enjoy that super cute outdoor area!-The Wilson's

I hate to say this, but this is the place to stay if you are visiting New Buffalo. There, I said it, and now I will never be able to get a room again.Each of the rooms is decorated in a home style theme. There is a living room area and kitchen, with a small dining area. Then, a separate bedroom hosts a spa tub and the bathroom with a shower.The house is located within walking distance of Barney's Grocery Store and the downtown area. This area is host to dining, galleries, and shopping. You can also head down to the beach and enjoy a beautiful sunset. When you return back to the house, you can also take advantage of the hot tub, grill area, or just relax by the fire pit. There is something for everyone.Now, I did have two very small draw back, but they are in no way a deterrent to enjoying another stay. The first is that the yard sign is very close to the road. So, with that, you have to pull forward a bit to see if there is oncoming traffic. Second, there is some cleanup in the gardens along the road that could be performed. Again, just small nitpicky things, nothing that would stop a return visit.Thanks for reading, and enjoy your stay! 🤣🤣Walkability: Downtown, food, and entertainment are less than a mile walk.

We loved staying here! Clean, quaint family owned beach inn. We enjoyed the outdoor fire pit area in the backyard and the in room jacuzzi in the evening. We didn't use the outdoor hot tub but we loved that it's called the hot tub time machine. Wonderful location. Very close to the casino and the beach. Full kitchen in the Galien room and a grocery right down the road. If you don't want to cook, there's a pizza place about a block away that delivers to your room. Hosts were very respectful of privacy, but available by text if needed. We will stay there again but will book a different room. There are several to choose from!

Super amazing place, my partner and I had a fantastic stay!Lisa was extremely accommodating and really went the extra mile to make sure we were comfortable and all of our needs were met!We stayed in the Goodrich room which was very clean, had a fire place, large bed and bathroom, and a huge two person jacuzzi! The room also had a couple chairs out front in a cute little garden area.Really close to a grocery store, restaurants, breweries, and the beach.The only possible complaint I could have is that there is the occasional loud truck that drives by, but I never even noticed when I was inside the room!Will definitely be back the next time I am in the area!!!

My husband visited New Buffalo Michigan June of 2021. The Inn was precious! It was so quiet and private we almost saw no one at the Inn our entire trip. The cottage was adorable and nautical themed with a lovely bathtub and kitchen. The hot tub at night was amazing. We walked across the street one night and brought pizza back to relax in the hot tub. It was walking distance to the beach which was also lovely. Great restaurants and breweries and little shop and cute grocery store all walking distance. I would love to come back! A peaceful escape

We only had a couples massage at the spa. It was a great first experience for me. Everyone was lovely, helpful and answered all my questions. I was able to relax and had that massage “high” afterwards. My boyfriend has had massages before and said it was a great “relaxing” massage but definitely not like a deep tissue one.

It was a decent stay. Quaint and centrally located. A couple of things that were concerning was that the little ice machine on the counter had a bit of mildew in it. The fireplace was concerning as the flames were charring the skirt of the gas fireplace.The price was a bit up sold in my opinion, but the hot tub/jacuzzi was nice to enjoy.

The room were clean and well stocked. It is a nice departure from a standard hotel room. Many things in the room could use some maintenance, but that did not detract from our stay too much.

Great location, decent price compared to other lodging in the area. The suite was clean and comfortable. We stayed in the Whitaker Room with the captains nook. It was very spacious. Coffee work creamer was provided and very much appreciated. We didn't get to experience the fire at night and hot tub but would definitely come back to try them out. Beach was four blocks away about a 15 minute walk.

Absolutely wonderful. Better than home away from home. Beds were so comfortable like sinking into a cloud. Dual showers made it even greater experience! Fully stocked with everything you could possible think of. Not too crazy about the only little grocery store in town. Definite tourist trap on the prices!

What an amazing stay my husband and I had here at New Buffalo Inn and Spa. For starters, when you pull in the first thing you see is a sign that says "All Are Welcome". I was put at ease immediately! I knew I had come to a place where I could relax amd actually enjoy my time. This was our first trip in nearly 14 years without any children in tow. Once we figured out how to open the door(😫), the room was immaculate. Beautiful amenities such as the jet bathtub, shower with water spraying from all around you, nice little kitchen just the perfect size for our needs. In the cabinet we found two of everything we needed. Everything was super clean. I can tell they really took our comfort seriously. All the emails I received leading up to the stay were precise and full of necessary information. I received a welcome text from Lisa just going over final details amd ways we could reach her. She was literally a text away. The Inn is in the most perfect location. The beach was 4 minutes away. Restaurants and night life were steps away, as well as a grocery store just across the street. The Inn had it's own gorgeous patio that had a BBQ pit, hot tub, fire pit, relaxing lights and comfy chairs. It truly is gorgeous. We had neighbors but I honestly never heard noise from anyone. I'm so happy I found this place while researching places in New Buffalo. It was the most affordable place with all that was included. We cannot wait to return again with our children this time and create new memories. Thank you for such a wonderful time!

This inn is in an amazing location. Five minutes to the grocery store, a popular pizza joint and the library. 15-20 min to other restaurants, shops and the beach.On the other hand, our air conditioning was not working. Luckily it was cool enough out that open windows sufficed. We did not call regarding that so I'm not sure how quick their response is to such situations. I also feel the inn could use some fresh paint and a more detailed deep clean. The air vent and fan vent in the bathroom were extremely dusty. Despite those aspects, the bed was comfy and there was a huge bathtub for soaking.Overall though despite the great location I don't feel this inn is very good value for the price. There wereat leapt three other resorts and inns nearby for the same price or less that looked much cleaner and updated. I wouldn't stay here again because I feel the price is too high for the quality you get. The staff member I met when we were leaving was very friendly though!

You never know what to expect when you make reservations online having never seen a place before. I guess that's why we've become so dependent on reviews. I read the reviews on New Buffalo Inn & Spa and had some concerns about the negative reviews, but I'm glad I went with my gut. My wife and I celebrated our 20th anniversary here this weekend and we believe we got more than we bargained for. Our room ( the SS Post Boy) was basically a small apartment. Living room, bedroom, large bathroom with jet tub and a small kitchen fully equipped. The place was clean, private and very comfortable. The fireplace was a very nice treat. A previous reviewer said they need to update the rooms but the room we were in had the necessities. A fridge that kept my beer cold, a microwave to reheat my leftovers and a Keurig for my morning coffee. My wife and I were very comfortable with our accommodations and will definitely return next year, unless we can figure out how to get rid of our younger kids for a weekend so we can return sooner. Thanks to the staff for a great weekend.

Rest relax retreat. I did all three here and it was just so easy. The room was so beautiful and quaint. I love that I didn't have to bring any dishes to cook just bring food and ready to go. The atmosphere here is just so relaxed you can bet that we will be coming back in the future and recommending it to everyone who just needs to relax and have a good time.

Wow nice and quiet. Went mid week October. Great last minute deal. I received 2 calls on my reservation. She called to explain where we could find the room key and instructions just in case no one was there. And sure enough as promised. She even called me to ask if we got in okay. Our sleep was excellent and quiet. We will stay there again in another condo/cottage just to compare. 4 miles to Casino and less to the beach area. Nice grocery store just down the road from them. Kitchen was nice and stocked. Even gave coffee in the room. Due to the rain we couldn't use the on site grill or outside hot tub. But we had an in room jacuzzi. Nice place and reasonably priced. I can't remember the name of the wonderful woman who took care of our reservation. That's a good thing when they're transparent :) Thank you for your kindness on October 12, 2016.

Beautiful setting & a wonderful outlook of a view from our Snugg Harbor suite! Great vibrant colors and the fire place filled with warmth during the winter season. 1 problem for me was outside of being in front of the fire place it was pretty cold throughout the house and the bedroom can use a T.v,but overall it is a wonderful place to snugg @.

Our experience at New Buffalo Inn & Spa was wonderful! We were in Michigan for an adoption and weren't sure where we'd end up or when we'd be able to leave so we arrived at the Inn without a reservation not knowing if any rooms would be available. We felt super blessed that the Captain Whittaker room was available and we were set up quickly and with great care. This space was perfect for our little family with a new infant and made our stay away from home quite comfortable. It was nice to have a kitchen to cook in and a place to do laundry right in our room. The owner was incredibly kind, accommodating and helpful, and she even brought a celebratory balloon to our room to congratulate us. If we are ever near New Buffalo again - we will certainly be staying at the New Buffalo Inn & Spa!

I've used the Spa services several times, and each time was amazing.Lisa knows how to give a great facial, and my daughters have enjoyed massages there. The experience was fun and relaxing and I highly recommend the New Buffalo Spa!

The spa was horrible. I told her she was hurting my neck, but she kept doing it. My neck hurt for three days afterwards. They had tea there, but only offered us water.
