Front Desk is welcoming as soon i come in the door. I truly appreciate that! We couldn’t not use the pool because of an accident that happened. But reformed Was made for us to got to the other resort not far away to use there pool and hot tub they also was very nice too! Wonderful for both of them to work together so we can still have fun and relax. Beautiful resort nice setting area with fireplace. rooms are nice i can’t wait to visit again 😀!

Very friendly staff - kudos to all of them. The arcade room was great! My kids loved playing with the video games and ping pong. It was a nice surprise to have those amenities. Kids had fun in the pool too. It was nice and clean - no issues there. Rooms were spacious and bed were comfy. My only complaints were with the bathrooms - the showers could use a bit more attention. There was a lot of mildew that could that truly could have been cleaned in less than 10 minutes. One of the showers (we had 2 rooms) was clogged and grossed my husband out. Thankfully we had the other shower to use. And lastly, don't count on a grown up to use the pull out bed. My husband slept on it and said it was awful. Poor guy. I was sleeping with our youngest so he had to take one for the team.Overall, a great hotel and we would consider coming back. Actually maybe to the closer property since it's closer to the beach.

We were being nostalgic and decided to do another anniversary weekend here. We stayed a few years ago and thought it was awesome. This time, it was just ok. The yachts are no longer there year around. We went in February, and they used to have aerators to keep the water from freezing. It was nice to look out and see all the boats. Not anymore. We figured it was due to energy use.The biggest complaint was lack of morning coffee! The baristas didn't open until 9am. After paying what we did for the room, free coffee shouldn't be an issue. Not everyone is into fancy coffee, and having to pay $3 a cup is excessive (our opinions). They said we have in-room coffee. It absolutely sucked! The hot tub and pool were nice, but good luck finding them! There were no indications of where they were! One sign for the 2nd floor is not enough. We wound up in the kitchen before finally locating it by trying doors. Nothing was marked. The rooms were nice and clean, and the staff was great (no complaints at all), but I don't think we'll be back. I guess some things can't be the same greatness they once were.

All I can say is location location!! This place is phenomenal and the staff are so friendly and helpful. They have a restaurant on location called Brentwood and their sister site around the corner has Terrace Room which is an Italian restaurant. The suite is so spacious with spectacular views of the marina and Lake Michigan. We hosted a dinner party for Valentine's Day and they have a full service with all the plates, cups, and silverware. They have 1 1/2 baths and a spacious king bed. I loved the deep bathtub, it was amazing. There is also a wonderful fireplace that gives off such nostalgia. We'll be back!!! Check out Chef Quayla if you are in the area she is amazing!!! She brings all the food and cookware to prepare your meals.

This was our very first trip to the resort and area. I planned a weekend getaway for me and my hubby. The hotel is within walking distance to the cute downtown area which was having a fest. The views of the harbor were nice and peaceful. We did have a hiccup in our trip with some unruly guests due to the wine fest, but Hannah and Keenan were extremely quick to address it and make sure the rest of our stay was perfect and enjoyable. Everyone staff wise was extremely friendly. The pool area and hot tub were mostly quiet and very clean. The rooms were clean and beds were comfy. Having a balcony on every room was a really nice touch! Will definitely be back.

I was able to stay here thanks to a board retreat. I spent 2 nights over 3 days. I had a 2 room suite with a full kitchen, fireplace, dining table and full living room. It was a king size bed and the bath had a deep soaking tub, large shower and a double sink. While it was one of the nicest I have stayed, it was little things that took a star off. No alarm clock at all. So, no white noise machine either you would think would be there. I had to have a wake up call each morning. Also the bathroom had no night light. The service was what you expect and the food, breakfast and lunch while in meetings was just average. Hope we come back next year.

This is a large, long hotel; all the rooms have balconies or patios overlooking the marina. The facility is quite clean and well maintained. It includes indoor and outdoor pools, a jacuzzi, a small game room including ping pong table, and well equipped and lightly used workout room. We stayed for three nights in a comfortable king room. The hotel lets guests check out bikes, beach chairs, and beach towels to take over to the nearby public beach.Nevertheless, I am somewhat inclined to disagree with those who say that this hotel deserves to be more than a three-star hotel. Better to think of it as a 3+ stars? We found the place--which was full of families with small children--noisy. The front desk seems understaffed given the size of the facility. The cleaning staff keep the rooms clean, but they were noisy talking among themselves in the halls and they seem not to communicate well with management or patrons. Everyone was very polite. The hotel restaurant, the Bentwood Tavern, has good food, good wine, and does a brisk business. Make reservations at least a couple of days in advance to get a reasonable dinner time.

Overall, this is a nice place to stay within walking distance to New Buffalo beach. Pros: the roof top, balcony and breakfast were great. The lobby decor was nice. However, we have traveled quite a bit so a few things we noticed that kept it from being top notch and would have expected more from such a high price tag hotel: there was some mold in the shower, the mini fridge was gross inside and didn’t keep things cold, no waters in the room, no conditioner in the room, the TV was outdated. It was missing some small details that would have made it a really nice hotel. Again, overall nice place to stay.

We had a wonderful stay at the Marina Grand! The whole family enjoyed the game room, and the marina view was peaceful and beautiful. Grabbing coffee and breakfast at the lobby bar was convenient while we enjoyed it on the rooftop deck. Location was nice as it was away from the main bustle of town, but too far to walk to the beach with little ones. Hotel was beautifully decorated and felt brand new. The fireplace in the room was a cozy touch! The fridge is very small with no freezer so beware when arriving with food or restaurant leftovers. New Buffalo was a wonderful family destination, and we plan to come back again!

Was a great location and service was exceptional. Spencer, Brandon and Allison were wonderful in their accommodations. The hotel is very clean and the pool was really nice. Unfortunately it rained while we were there and we didn't make it to the beach but it was a really nice stay.Note: cribs are smaller and made of metal so consider bringing a pack and play if you're traveling with an infant.

My husband and I were here for our 35th wedding anniversary. The room was spacious and immaculately clean. We were on the 1st floor and although we were close to everything, our room was absolutely soundproof! We made dinner reservations at Brentwood, the hotel restaurant. We experienced a bit of a glitch with our reservation; we ended up at a barbooth instead of the dining room. But our server, Dana, was fantastic and more than made up for that hiccup. The food and drink were delicious! The restaurant manager, Kathleen, is top notch as well!I would TOTALLY recommend the hotel for the stay and Brentwood for food and drink!!Looking forward to our next stay!

I think this should be considered to be a 5 star resort. The room was exactly as shown in the pictures with all the amenities one could need. Not cheap, but worth every penny. Very clean, private patio/balcony and friendly and helpful staff. Great restaurants, beach, town center all within walking distance. Hope I will be able to visit again.

Really nice service but way overpriced for Michigan with nothing overtly exceptional to warrant the cost. Nice location, amenities were clean, modern, but not luxurious. Off the marina and close to shops and restaurants. They redesigned their restaurant to be modern instead of the pirate shipping theme they used to have but the food was fine, not spectacular. They’re banking on rich tourists from Illinois so its priced for tourists. At least the bike rental was free, definitely take them up on it-it was fun biking around town, but no bike lanes in New Buffalo, so be careful. All in all, nice stay, but overpriced. Be warned, a lot of families with a lot of whiney and crying kids, not exactly relaxing or romantic.

We loved our stay at the Marina Grand Resort. We had a 1 bedroom suite with a pull out sofa, a kitchen, and a walk out balcony. It was beautifully designed and decorated. They had everything you would need for a short stay. The staff was so nice and pleasant. It's on the experience side, but we already knew that. The size was perfect for my family of 4. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back!

Hotel was nice but really lacked in information. No one told us where to find the pool or fitness area. The elevator told us what floor those things were on but no direction of where. Walked the long long hallways to find them. No ice on 3rd floor. Room clean, not very big and very overpriced for the size and the fridge was so tiny. Barely held 6 bottles of water.

Under renovations, but the prices aren't. You can get water, or coffee in the mornings, but thats it. There is no snack area, no pop or juice, nothing except ice and water. There rendition of a continental breakfast is make your own coffee, and free muffins/ raisin rolls that came from the dumpster up at barney's grocery two days ago. No room service right now, no Bentwood tavern right now, and no mention of the inconveniences when booking online. You literally can't get any food, and can only get water right now. Building is nice, location is nice when it's warm I'm sure. But currently it's no better than a motel 6 at Marriott pricing. Bed is comfy. Fireplace is nice. It is clean. SO EDIT: They caught my review before checking out and assured me they would do what ever necessary to make it right. I would stay there again, seems to be a little mixup between employees about what things are and aren't offered during renovations. They were legitimately concerned about making it right.
