I have been in this store a few times. It's convenient because it on my route to and from work. On June 16th I wanted to get some keys made and was advised when I stopped in the day before that the key blank may come on a truck that very day. I had some late duties at work, so I called the Brooklyn Michigan location and asked how late they were open. The young man that answered the phone thought out loud, and said "it's Friday so we are here until 8pm" I stopped on my way home about 730pm and the doors were locked. I figured it was just a simple mistake and planned to not think about it and just stop on my way in Saturday morning. I did this and an older very thin man helped me.... unfortunately he was very rude in the process and had to ask me repeatedly how many keys I requested. At this point I told him that a employee did tell me that the store was open until 8pm Friday night, so they may not know the store hours. He curtly replied "they know the store hours". This is the most rude I have been treated in a retail establishment in a very long time. I suppose the next time I need a key I will go to a kiosk, ACE hardware or another business. In addition, this store has a lawn figure right next to the check out that has its hand up and giving the middle finger to customers that pay at this checkout . Not s great example for B&B hardware. It pains me to write this, because it takes time to do, and I would rather be doing more productive things. However, maybe it will save another customer of this type of treatment.

Miss the little hometown hardware store!! This place is it. Staff..as soon as you walk inside they greet you with a smile. Check to see if you know where to look or need help. The rest you would have to know what it's like to understand. So, go visit if you're in the area and need some hardware stuff.

First off this place has everything. When you walk in the staff that you pass all acknowledge you and say hi and immediately you feel like this is a good choice to shop. Everyone I asked about something knew the answer. Great store and staff. Old time feel.

The have a good selection, but the older man behind the counter is pushy. He kept not only recommending things I didn't ask for, but telling me the prices for the things I didn't ask for. There was a girl trying to learn and ask him questions and he was just short of rude to her.

Very well stocked hardware store. Way above average. I was a carpenter for 30 years and I've seen my share of hardware stores. This is a very good one. It has the details covered. Lots of well organized hardware to solve challenging problems. Very helpful staff, as well.There's another hardware store about 5 miles from me. I drive to B&B instead, which is twice as far, because it is so much better.

B&B is fantastic. I have stopped in for the most bizarre items and they always have them. But what I appreciate most is their customer service - they are knowledgeable and friendly, and you don’t have to go looking for staff. They always ask me if I have found what I’m looking for and it isn’t a drive by question, they really are there to help you. When you are stopping in with children in tow and you are anxious to get back out… this is the best kind of customer service!

'Got just about anything you'd ever need from a hardware store.■ DEBBIE DOWNER???.. everything in Napoleon is under cameras EVERYWHERE outside their itty bitty town. ..so SMILE when you drive through there & 'dont blink' in Napoleon, OR YOU'LL MISS IT!!■ (THE CAMERAS ARE to get you used to being under surveillance 100% of the time...slowly but surely you are loosing ALL your freedoms. )■ But the hardware store is very good.

This store still has all the best parts of a real old fashioned hardware store. They have recently built a new modern building and expanded their sales floor but don't seem to have lost anything.Today is a good example, I needed some gas pipe cut and threaded. This isn't something that can be "good enough" it has to be right. This store has highly skilled employees not just clerks. Their prices aren't bad either although they don't carry many of the cheapest kinds of tools. You know the ones designed to only be used once.

Update: If I can't find it at Ace or Family Farm I go here. Still very helpful and most of the time they have what I need.

I watched B&B walk into Menards and buy cases of the small green propane tanks. These are selling for 4.45 at Menards B&B is selling them for 6.99. This is price gouging and not ethical to empty the shelf at a retailer who is close by and open longer and selling them cheeper.

i like to keep my money local. but this place has me running away. it’s everytime i go here they are unhappy and terrible customer service. i like to keep things local but for the same customer service you’re better off going to home depot. I don’t mind paying more for things but with this type of service it makes me sick to hand any money over. unfortunately, i’m not the only person that gets treated poorly by the staff.
