I would highly recommend Sitting Pretty because they are very careful with your dog. When you get your dog back they come with a free bandana already tied perfectly on them. Also when my dog leaves the place she comes back smiling like she enjoyed it. I would recommend it to send them there for cutting their nails and for haircuts. 😁

My pup is a rescue and does not like when people touch her paws. The workers there have always been very understanding of this and done what they can to make her nail trims fast. Everyone I have spoken to has been very nice and friendly. Would recommend!

This was our 2nd visit there. They treated my Fur-Baby with the same care as I would have!! (When I got there she wasn't stressed out like at some previous places, BUT, She Still Hates getting her nails clipped! 😘) And they did a Wonderful Job!! I'm Definitely taking her back!! I've already got another appointment on the books!! I Highly Recommend!! 👍👍

I pay for my small dog to get her nails trimmed...and half of the time, they miss about 5 or 6 of her nails!And if you say something, heaven for bid...the cashier will jump down your throat! Been taking my dog for over a year, and they're getting worse!I'm not going anymore!!!

They were very helpful and kind. Worked with my dog that sometimes isn't nice. My dog really well and was a good boy. He let them do his nails, which he doesn't let alot of people do.

I really like to support businesses in lakeside, that is why I first chose sitting pretty and boutique.Sitting pretty pet spa is our doggie groomer of choice every time. BAiR and I love, sitting pretty.We go to this pet salon, Monday's especially you can get a discount on getting your dog's nails trimmed. You can walk in and get your furry Friends nails trimmed for $10 I believe. You will walk in the front counter girl says hello they come out take your dog to the back area you can look at all the little dog toys and dog bones they have and then before you know it they're bringing your dog back out happy as can be.We always make sure to grab a special bone before we leave the salon. They have a cooler full of Bones up front they're very yummy I mean I wouldn't know but my BAiR always lets out a good howl when he gets a bone.They are very very very busy you need an appointment if you want to get your dog's haircut. Don't think you can walk in and get an appointment I have tried many times just because I'm not good with appointments and it's impossible they're so busy so make sure you call at least a month in advance.There is tight parking at the salon there's probably about 5 parking spots on the side of the building other than that you're going to have to park on the street.If you need a dog groomer and you have never been to sitting pretty salon I would recommend, Kristen one-hundred-percent go with.Woof woof

Brought our husky here on a whim because our other groomer was booked and we just thought the price was a little steep for the job that was done, our baby looked ok at best (very choppy job done on her belly trim, and they trimmed her tail when we didn’t ask for that to be done) Poor job compared to other groom jobs she’s had done in the past, won’t be returning and be very specific if you bring a husky or double coat dog here!!

I posted the following review on January 10, 2023.Little did we know then, but our precious Selah died less than a month later on February 8, making this her very last grooming. Still sitting pretty....-----------Sitting Pretty is my favorite pet spa and boutique in the country (we travel with our dog and have been to many)! On my regular trips home to Muskegon, we bring our royal mutt, Selah and try to get her into Sitting Pretty-I'm so thrilled when we can. But regardless of the frequency or infrequency of our visits we're ALWAYS greeted with uncommon hospitality and prosocial behavior. And the grooming-Selah looks beautiful irrespective of the different cuts she's had, smells great ( tho subtle, the fragrance lasts a long time), and her blowout lasts weeks. Selah was groomed by Megan during the holidays, prior to Christmas and today, January 10, over a month later, she still looks and smells, lovely. She's happy to see us when we pick her up but not anxious, parched, or ready to 'get out of there' like she is in other shops and/or kennels. I don't have enough superlatives to share. Try it for yourself. You can thank me later.

This is the 3rd time our dog Coco has been injured by these people and the first 2 times they didn’t tell us. We didn’t know until she got home. She was cut on her eye. The second time she was cut near her groin and this last time she is cut badly on her eye again.They called and said she was ready. When my mother got there the lady came with Coco cradled in her arms. She stated I’m not going to charge you because… Then she lifted Coco up and blood was gushing from her eye. My mother screamed what happened?! The lady stated she jumped and she accidentally cut her. Coco started bleeding again, She took Coco back to the back and the other workers disappeared. After a while my mother began to yell out, “where is everyone?! Who is in charge?!” When she stated that this is unacceptable Coco has been groomed here for 7 years, another lady named Megan came to her saying “OH COME ON NOW, SHE’S DIFFICULT!” My mother stated you don’t have a sign saying you don’t take difficult dogs. She stayed the lady who did cut her is experienced. She stated IF we decided to bring Coco back she (Megan) would be responsible for her. She gave her phone number and said if she started bleeding again call her and she will keep Coco. Why would we leave our dog with her?! She didn’t act concerned. The lady who cut her was more remorseful. They did not warn us that there was an injury. They left my mom to be surprised when She got there.3 times they hurt our dog. They discouraged us from taking her to the vet, they gave no options for care for Coco over the weekend and they said they don’t blame us if we don’t want to bring her back…. Well we DON’T and We’re NOT!In conclusion, check your pet before you leave or there is a good chance you won’t know your pet is suffering in silence.

We took her sheepdog and for a grooming and haircut. When we picked him up he was completely shaved and a mole on his face was bleeding. It was shocking and extremely upsetting. This was a Friday and we were able to get into the Vets on Monday. The mall was partially removed and bleeding stopped with a powder and our dog was giving a 10-day course of antibiotics. The vet said groomer had traumatized the mole. We had been to this, before so they were aware of any moles and had also done summer cuts before that were appropriate. But this time it was so shocking shave with all facial hair removed. In this case, we felt that a truly professional service should have called us and given us the option to save his face.

Very enjoyable experience for my beautiful Teddy bear Sylvie who I was concerned for as she was initially very timid acting upon arrival. The staff obviously are passionate and devoted animal lovers who go above and beyond to deliver exemplary service. I will be teturning for sure

My dog Titan was a VERY CLEAN AND HAPPY FURBABY when I picked him up after his first bath there 😃 He was squeezed in at the last minute, which was VERY nice... PlUS My girlfriend got hers in at the same time so I could give her a ride

Joey groomed my golden retriever. She had a large bald spot on the back of her leg and uneven spots throughout. When I called to tell them about it all they gave me were excuses. Never offered to give me a credit or anything. I will never take my dog there again!

I take my dog Ollie here for grooming. He’s an Australian Shepard/border collie mix so he’s high energy and sometimes has a lot of anxiety. They note and follow all our instructions to make him the most comfortable. He goes into a room instead of a kennel which is good for him. They also skip the dryers and perfume for us. We appreciate that they listen to our requests and do such a nice job. He always looks so good when he comes out of there. Definitely recommend!
