Absolutely wonderful! Noah’s Project gave me my gorgeous Poppy a couple of years ago (known as Suzanne by NP). She’s a truly beloved member of our family & has become my husbands shadow everywhere he goes. I love that they actually do call your references & have you bring in any other dogs you own so they can observe the initial contact between the dogs to get a good idea of whether they’ll get along. They also continue to protect their animals even after adoption by requiring permission to check with your vet to be sure the animal is being properly cared for. Very professional & kind staff who clearly love the animals they save. As tough as it is to comprehend, I know my girls will eventually go to Rainbow Bridge & after they do, when we’re ready, we will absolutely be back to Noah’s Project to adopt another rescue. I HIGHLY recommend them & urge anyone thinking of adding a fur baby to their family to contact them for an appointment to meet the animals.

I was able to adopt an amazing little fluff. She has become my second shadow. Her personality and love of everyone and everything are a joy. Noah made this adoption possible. The dogI had hoped to meet had been adopted before I arrived, and the staff asked if I would like to see her. Once it was clear that she and I would be a great pair, the process of finishing the adoption went very smoothly. I feel like they were careful and honest with prospective adopters. I knew what her health issues were before I brought her home. They shared their information so that her continuity of care was easy. They did their best to ensure that Penny's stay at the shelter was short and hopefully never to be repeated.Best day ever getting to meet her and then bring her home.

I love Noah Project! They do amazing, unselfish work there. We adopted our kitty, Bella, (now Leah) last year, and she’s been a blessing 💕 Her brother, Loki, is the one above.

Noah Project is great! They were super friendly and helpful when we adopted our cat. They also do a good job to ensure the cats are healthy and happy. Some of the other places we visited did not give us the same good feeling we got at Noah Project. Would definitely recommend them.

We adopted Bowser at 6 weeks old and he just turned 1 year in March. Thank you Noah Project for making this adoption an easy process. The staff allowed us to visit and stay as long as we needed to bond with Bowser while we waited for the day to take him home. We have moved to Wisconsin and are embracing every moment with our little bunny cat. ( He was born without a tail and hops around)

Noah Project is a wonderful organization! They were prompt to respond and can communicate via text, email, and phone call. I loved their meeting rooms where you can have time with your potential pet. The staff is also wonderfully knowledgeable about the pets they have in residence. Would highly recommend!

In 2018, I was looking for a cat to join my family. All the criteria I was looking for amazingly was there waiting for me. I adopted him and he is the best.Pic on the left is what I saw there and the one on the right is him now. Love him so much. His name at adoption was Bellamy but he is now know as Sabre. Thank you Noah Project!!

I have nothing but good things to say about Noah Project. I have adopted 4 pets from here over the years (2 cats and 2 dogs) and even helped another family member out of town adopt a dog here. The staff really take the time to find the perfect match for these animals so that they will be successful and limit rehoming. The application is lengthy but completely appropriate so they can get to know you and your lifestyle. They move quickly with your application if you are an appropriate fit which is much appreciated. Your new companion will come home well groomed and healthy, just as they should! Aside from the fact that they are amazing with the match process, they provide you with almost everything you need to get started with your new pet including food, treats, toys, blankets, even collars/leashes and kennels for my dogs. My house is full at the moment, but I plan to adopt from here again when I'm ready. In the meantime I will continue to support this wonderful shelter in all other ways that I can!

The Noah Project is a blessing to all pet lovers in Ottawa and Muskegon Counties. We adopted our cat from them in 2023 and thank them so much for their care, love and mission to find pets a "fur-ever" home. I cannot thank them enough for the joy they have brought into our lives and the mission they successfully achieve.

I adopted Joy from here. She had a bit of a negative history but with a little work and attention, she turned things around and was a sweetheart. The shelter was upfront about her challenges so I knew what I was taking on and was happy to get her into her forever home.

I adopted 2 crazy kittens in January. Everyone I encountered a/o spoke with during and after the adoption process was kind and friendly. My babies were healthy and happy and well taken care of when I took them on. It was clear the Noah Project had their best interest at heart. My sister also adopted a little dog from them and he is a cherished member of their family. I am grateful for the Noah Project and the service it provides for our community!

Unbeliveable. I put in an application for Skye, a 1 1/2 year old Husky and it took them 2 weeks to get back to me, and then only because I called them. They denied my application because the last dog I had, Chewbacca, was stolen from my home over a year ago (January 2023), and had not been to the vet since 2017. I don't have the dog anymore, and they contacted my former vet, from 6 years ago to find out his medical records. I don't even have the dog anymore....Do not use this service for pet adoption, they give you the run around and will only adopt out a pet to whom they deem worthy.

Noah Project really cares about their animals and want to place them where it is best for them. There is a process to adopt, but well worth it. Animals are well cared for by compassionate people. The director, Machelle, has such a heart and passion for all animals. It is a nice, clean facility. Please don’t forget to check here if you are looking for a pet! Barely looked at my application, judged us for living in a trailer park. told us we couldn't have the dog we applied for because we cant provide a fence in our yard. (this was never mentioned as a requirement before applying for him) Has pressed me to look into a senior dog that is territorial over their toys and food even after telling her that i wanted a younger dog that was sociable with people. The director never even gave us the chance for a full interview and to see what we could actually provide as a lifestyle.

Not my own experience…but a friend of mine tried to adopt a dog here. He filled out the application form which clearly asked if you work and how many hours a week. Apparently to adapt here you can’t have a normal 40 hour work week job because they told him that he worked too much. And this was even days later after he submitted the application and references were called. Had they took the time to briefly look at the application before he left that would have saved everyone some time. It’s no wonder these adoption centers are full all the time. SMH

It was recently discovered that the Director of this nonprofit had MULTIPLE personal pets (who were not adopted from the shelter and have no affiliation with Noah’s Project) registered at MULTIPLE different vet clinics and ER Hospitals under the shelters accounts as being owned by Noah’s Project, and the shelter has been billed MULTIPLE times for her PERSONAL BILLS. The police are investigating these allegations, to which the director said that her pets vet bills have indeed been charged to Noah Project but it was an “accident”, that she is working with the board to pay back the money the shelter was charged and she still has her job!! What business allows the person being accused of theft participate in the investigation and I would like to know who on the board is ok with this woman keeping her job? If it was one pet, one vet clinic and one charge it’s probably possible that it could be a mistake, but MULTIPLE pets at MULTIPLE vet clinics on MULTIPLE occasions? Come on now Board President! Do BETTER !!! Protect the shelter and the animals PLEASE!!!

if i could give them less than a star i would do not trust these people because they will tell you a dog is yours and make an appointment and then at the last minute give the dog to someone else like the directors friend this place is a total ripoff and come to find out we are not the first this has happened to so beware and look else ware so it doesnt happen to you .oh and this is john, ruths husband. we have been looking for 4 years our entire family was excited and we were willing to drive 100 miles twice just to get this dog. we are seniors and this was an answer to prayer

Staff was extremely busy and the wait was worth it. Great facility, friendly employees and volunteers, as busy as it was the place was clean. I viewed all animals and the employee knew all about each one, she told their story. I came to get a new 4 leg family member and I will get her from Noah.

We honestly need to start investigating a lot of these so called "non profit" shelters. Allowing a kitten to grow up in a cage, because you price it at $900 is absolutely despicable. I've never heard of a shelter passing on medical bill costs to the adopter. That's messed up. If every shelter did that - no animals would ever be adopted. I recently adopted from a humane society in Indiana. My baby grew up in a cage too. He has been with me for 3 months now and still needs a lot of work. He's overwhelmed by sounds and the vast space of a house. It's sad. The shelter was absolutely disgusting. It took me over a month to even get him out of the place because I had to fill out an application. Wait 3 weeks for staff to approve it. Then wait another week, plus, to make an appointment. Then local shelters are screaming that they are overflowing. Well why? Do you all get money for every animal you have in a cage per day? I am beginning to wonder about many of these places. Be transparent. Do what's right for the animals. And do everything to get them in a home. Even a mediocre home is better than a cage.

My family and I just adopted from here and we absolutely adore our kitten. They were amazing, we were able to come multiple times to better get to know the cats when we were deciding and we are really happy with the adoption rate and that the kitten was microchipped! Would definitely recommend

Highly recommend Noah Project. My daughter lives near the facility and has visited as well as her boyfriend adopted a fantastic cat from them. When she sent us a picture and information about Jedd we drove from Alpena to foster him and get him ready for his surgery. We drove back with him and they took him for his surgery and back to the shelter where we could formally adopt him. They're wonderful at rescuing animals and getting them ready for adoption. They look for the best matches and follow up. The vet here in Alpena was very impressed with the wonderful service that Noah provided to give this sick little dog a 2nd chance. We are very grateful for everyone involved with Jedd's care❤ He is a very happy dog in his Furever home 🐾❤ I would definitely recommend Noah Project to anyone around the state looking for a rescue pet.
