I don’t use Meijer Pharmacy on Holton Road often, but I recently did, and that was a huge mistake. I had the worst experience, specifically with a pharmacist. I was so confused about his behavior that I had to see if this is a normal practice, so I went to the reviews. As I started reading the feedback about this pharmacy, I see now that they have a problem, and it starts at the pharmacist level. They are very rude and condescending as verified by many reviews. They also do not communicate well, which makes for confusion on the customer end, and then if you ask questions, it starts all over. Some of the people that work there are amazing, but the management has some bad policies for customer service and engagement. I appreciate the reviews because they help me understand that the Meijer Pharmacy on Holton Road has a major problem and they need a prescription for kindness. Obviously, I will not use them anymore and I’m sure they couldn’t care less because that is how poor management operates.

Never have my prescription unless I call and ask where is it. So much for the automated calling. They then claim it will be filled like in an hour. Call back 4 hours later they can't even find the order. Put on hold for several minutes and told again should be an hour. I can't drive with my condition so I have to rely on others to pick up for me but can not give them a time as meijer doesn't even have a clue.

It can’t get much better than NM Meijer Pharmacy. They see, and fill hundreds if not thousands of prescriptions per day. They truly care about their community. Every interaction I have had with them ends with a smile. Each individual has a positive problem solving attitude. The pharmacists, and technologists are top notch and treat each of THEIR patients with care. Can’t speak highly enough about these guys and gals!

After speaking with several levels of management and hoping that they would take a chance to use some not great situations as learning experiences for their staff, they still decide to employ techs and pharmacists who choose to speak to patients in an unprofessional condescending tone and when their attitude is brought to their attention and a manager is asked for they (specially Dana for this interaction) choose to start yelling and then hangs up on me. Will be following up with corporate again clearly some staff just isn’t built to have empathy & patience for medically complex families.

Excellent customer service from Garett. I was searching for a hard to find medication. He actually took the time to look and order from the warehouse. He was very kind and professional. If i could give him 10 🌟 ,I would.

I am amazed by all of the negative reviews here, as I have received nothing but EXEMPLARY service from the Meijer pharmacy Holton Rd, Muskegon.Our regular pharmacy has been out of a medication that my husband and I use regularly, one which is vital to both of us. It has been on backorder for several weeks, so I decided to call other pharmacies to see if we could get it elsewhere. Apparently, there is a backlog from the manufacturer because it was difficult to track any down.I won't go into detail about each call/conversation with them but, long story short, I will say that these folks bent over backwards to get us our much-needed medication. Each person I spoke with was friendly, professional, and extremely helpful.Unfortunately, they were unable to get enough to completely fill both prescriptions, but they managed to get enough from their other pharmacies to completely fill one and half of the other. That's better than nothing, to be sure, and better than any other pharmacy was able to do.As to the long waits experienced by other reviewers, that was not an issue, either. Our grandson offered to pick up our order on his way to work (he often runs errands for us), planning to drop it off after he got out. We worried that it may not be possible to do so, given all of the complaints. I warned him about it and, being the responsible young man that he is, he allowed himself extra time, just to be safe. As it turned out, not only was there NOT a long wait (on a Saturday morning, around 10:00), he had enough time to spare that he was able to bring them to us BEFORE work... AND he was able to stay to chat with us for awhile. WIN-WIN for us!We've been with with our regular pharmacy for years. We're very pleased with the service we get from them so, since this shortage is no fault of theirs, there is no reason for us to change to another. However, should the need ever arise, this will be the pharmacy we will switch to!-------------------------------------------------------In case they ever read this, I'd like to publicly thank all of the people from the Meijer pharmacy on Holton Rd (the ones who helped us, that is) for providing us with such GREAT service. This particular medication means so much to us that there are no words to appropriately express the degree of our gratitude. THANK YOU!

I couldn't do five stars because, I have had a lot of trouble with getting my prescription filled. However there is an employee by the name of Garrett M. He delivers excellent service and is a major reason why I continue to use Meijer pharmacy. He truly a shinning star and I hope that corporate recognizes him.

I don't get all the horrible reviews. I've never had a bad experience. They are pretty slow often but most places are lately. The employees are friendly enough.

Absolutely the worst pharmacy I have ever been too. I've had nothing but problems here for the last year. There is no excuse for it. I started filling my scripts and a different Meijer a little farther away and never have had one issue yet!! If I could give them negative starts I would. Nothing is ever ready when they say it is. Worst customer service I have every received. Pharmacist is rude and snotty. Don't expect to ever be in or out or through line ever. There slow and terrible. Never coming to this pharmacy ever again.

Horrible service they filled 3 scripts a week to early and the one I was waiting to pick up they made my fiance wait 34 days to fill. And they are out of her prescriptions every other month forcing her to call around to find another pharmacy to fill it

Every month it has been the same thing since we moved up here September of 2020... They either don't have meds that are filled every month for our family, or they say somethings filled only to find out it isn't. There is one window staff member who is off the wall rude each time I come in contact with her, I asked for the number for corporate to file a complaint after the 3rd time I had spoke with the pharmacist about her behavior was told that they couldn't give me the information and that they would handle it in house. I have two special needs kids, one just had his 28th brain surgery and clearly needs consistent medication, yesterday got a text stating they had questions about his prescription, I called at 919 am and spoke with someone who looked into it, the question they had and the reason they hadn't filled it is because they wanted to make sure I still needed it, it was litterally a brand new script that was sent over this week by his doctor, of course we needed it. She then informed me it would be ready for pick up that evening, however I wasn't able to get there. So now I'm sitting in line at 1pm for the second time because they didn't have it ready yet and needed me to pull around, which I already sat behind 4 cars to get to the window the first time and there are now 7 vehicles behind me. If I could afford to get medication elsewhere we would, but every month it is something and I don't understand how a big box store can get away with treating customers this way, especially when I speak to others in the community and they get the same treatment from them.

This place is an absolute JOKE! Most of the employees there (other than Garrett) are terrible. They are JUDGEMENTAL, RUDE, UN-KIND, and have absolutely no care about their customers. I'm not sure if you know this or not, but if you didn't have us customers, you wouldn't have a job. Almost all of the employees there (other than Garrett, he's amazing), need to be talked to and re-trained ASAP. They are running this company to the ground. They are unorganized, unprofessional, mean, and just don't have a care for their customers. If someone reads this, you need to have a talk with the staff (Except Garrett, every time he is there, I'm treated with care and respect). Thank you Garrett for actually caring!To the rest of you, learn some manners and some kindness, you don't know everyone's story or struggles so STOP judging them!!!!!!

The Pharmacist and Technicians at Meijer Pharmacy in North Muskegon are nearly as rude as Walmarts Pharmacist and show how little they care about their customers by not notifying them when their prescriptions are ready, by app or phone, they will not take the time to notify you when your prescriptions are out of stock, which seems to happen way too much, they appear to be incapable of taking inventory and keeping their customers drugs in stock, and when you complain about their shotty service, they tell you to go to Walgreens! Which is exactly what I did!

DO NOT USE! Scheduled a Covid test and arrived 10 minutes early. A member of the staff stated they were running behind, took our number and stated they would call us in 15-30 minutes to get us in. An hour later we call them and they tell us to pull back up to the window. Once there they want to reschedule us again and have been taking other tests scheduled after ours. The manager stated he was “too busy” to talk to me. The truth is he didn’t want to confront me. The woman “assisting” me walked away from the window and told me they have other people in line who need help. The personnel there are unprofessional and not well trained.

Extremely slow for the amount of workers. 3 times now I've needed antibiotics for either health or dental. Doctor/Dental visits were done by 11 maybe 12. Prescriptions were sent immediately. Go to pick them up around 2 because I have to be to work by 215 and they are never ready. I'm normally told they had just got the request, when I actually know when they got the request because of the app. Guess I'm saying good app..... Bad pharmacy

Every month there is a problem with my prescription. I’ve had it filled here for two years and every month there is problem. They charge the wrong insurance, forget I’m paying out of pocket, and on more than one occasion, fail to even start processing it! I’m always given an approximate wait time, wait 15-60 minutes longer, and it is never ready. Last month, the woman I dropped it off to insisted it had only been 15 minutes, after 90! This is the last straw. I am done with this pharmacy, and this meijer all together. DO NOT USE THIS PHARMACY! They don’t care about customers. They are all rude and unprofessional. The don’t take responsibility for there mistakes, and they will only drive you mad, to the point you’ll need another prescription just to get through their BS.

I don't think I've ever had a more frustrating experience with a pharmacy. They are impossible to get ahold of on the phone and when I asked why they shrug it off. They often don't have my son's prescription and it isn't some random obscure medication. I will be switching pharmacies after today. This pharmacy is awful.

This pharmacy makes a lot of mistakes. I have had several times I had to wait two weeks or more for "preauthorization" when I was cash paying a prescription. I also had them not order medications because of a mistake on their part. When I asked them about why they don't call, they said "your number looked weird, so we didn't bother." Really!? My phone # looked weird? That is no reason not to call!

If I could leave a minus 100 it still wouldn't be enough. My 94 year old father has his prescriptions through this pharmacy. Not once have I been able to pick up a prescription without a problem. I am not sure how they can make so many mistakes and still be in business. From constantly being out of stock on his every month generic prescriptions, to being told to do some shopping because they don't have it ready yet even after I have been assured it is ready when I call to check, to being given medications for totally different people.I finally had to tell my dad sorry, I know you have used Meijers for years but there is no way that I will EVER use that pharmacy for anything again as long as I live.

Horrible customer service. Wait at drive thru for 20 minutes just to be told you have to go inside. Won't put you right through. You have to wait in line again to get service. This all after told prescription was set to pick up.Pharmacist or technician filling prescription very snotty.I do NOT recommend this pharmacy.

This pharmacy is a joke. There is zero communication with the customer. They will call you and tell you all of your medicine is ready to be picked. Then you drive there only to find out that some of them had to be ordered. How can you call me tell me they are ready? Ready to be ordered? This happens every month.

Worst pharmacy ever! Never have what you need. This last time I picked up a controlled substance for my 5 year olds seizures and THEY OVER DOSED HER MEDICATION. This is not only malpractice but negligence that could of resulted in a serious problem!!! I didn't even notice until she was having a seizure and grabbed her rescue medication which was suppose to be dialed and locked by the pharmacist to 15ml and it was never dialed or locked and was a full 20 ml syringle. She is 5!!!!!!!! I will NEVER fill another prescription here again.

Easily the worst pharmacy. I’ll call ahead to tell them I’m coming and they say my prescription will be ready in a half hour and I get there and they say “it will be in tomorrow.”
