I have been bringing my puppy here almost every day for daycare for a couple of months and it has been amazing! He is all tired out when I come to pick him up and just wants to snuggle when he gets home. I also love getting him bathed here! He always smells SO good. 10/10 would recommend

Member since 2007, brought 4 dogs here over the years. Returned with my 2 labs daycare they loved it. So happy staff placed each with group based on their personality. Love this place, member first visit when Carole was hands on. Trust my dogs here that says it all.

I’ve been coming here with my family and all of our dogs since I was a little kid, now as an adult I bring my dogs here. They’ve expanded so much over the years, but my top favorite thing is booking online. You can create an online account on their website with a profile for each dog and book whichever service you’d like with prices included. They offer boarding, we went to Florida for 4 days in 2018 our Pomeranian mix Zoey stayed with them and she loved it, we felt more comfortable relaxing and enjoying our vacation knowing she was safe and happy.Daycare is also available for daytime stays for when your at work or busy until later in the evening. Our dog zoey also went for grooming with her long Pomeranian hair, baths and hair trimming was definitely necessary. They have different grooming packages to choose from starting at just a bath to brush or hair blow out. Flea and skunk baths are also available. Other extra options to add on such as ear flush, probiotic shampoo/conditioner, hair dye, nail painting, teeth brushing, and tick removal as well.They do so great with clipping my German shepherd Kaya’s nails. She hates having her feet touched and gets anxious being away from me but she allows them to without issue! There’s also park memberships to use their various nature trails, pond areas and small/large fenced in dog parks. It’s overall a safe, clean and happy place for dogs, literally a dog Disney land, love it!

Bubba and Harley love Dog Star Ranch!We needed to board Bubba and Harley for 1 week while we were celebrating our wedding in Mexico. My parents recommended Dog Star Ranch. We did a daycare visit first and the dogs had so much fun! The staff was wonderful and they loved our dogs which made us feel comfortable leaving them for boarding.We will be using them again! :)

A HUGE regulated dog park. Doggie daycare that groups dogs by play style and size?!? How amazing! Plus the dogs get to run out in the park during their boarding stay and daycare day with no extra frees. My pup Merlin loves to see all his fur-friends and Star Buddies everyday. Thanks for giving him all the love and attention. ❤️

My dog Ollie loves going to the ranch for daycare. He is an older dog and they put him with the senior group which I appreciate bc he’s slowing down but still likes to play outside. We do get him groomed here as well and they do a really nice job every time. We also take our Ollie to the off leash trails there when we can. He loves it there.

I just started taking both of my mini goldendoodles here for grooming. So far, it has been a pleasant experience. Communication is extremely proficient and both of my doodles look and smell wonderful when I pick them up.

We love Dog Star Ranch! I recently moved back to Michigan and chose my new location based on driving distance to DSR. 😊 Upon arrival for daycare, my pup is greeted at the door with a friendly "good morning, Zeke" and he doesn't even look back at me...just happily goes inside, tail wagging and ready for a fun day. I always look through the daily pictures posted on their Facebook page and you can see how much the dogs are enjoying their time at DSR.I've used the daycare, boarding, and grooming services. I've been very happy with each experience. The drop-off/pick-up works well and is very easy and quick! I appreciate all the staff we've met and want to thank them for taking such wonderful care of my pup!

Memphis LOVES Dog Star Ranch! Literally stands up in the car when we get near, and whines to get out of the car and high-tail it inside 😁 Staff are always on top of things, take good care of him and I appreciate the on-site grooming so I have a clean pup when he comes home.

I love Dog Star Ranch! My dog has been going for 12 years and it is her favorite place. We love walking the trails, she swims in the pond, and gets to play with friends! I love the groomers. They do a fantastic job and I get to pick up a clean golden retriever with no mess at home. Every staff member is amazing and I love seeing photos of my fur baby at daycare.

Mo loves Dog Star Ranch. It is literally a home away from home. I use the before and after hour door. The care givers are so good. Very polite and nice. They greet Mo as one of their own family member. I only have good comments for Dog Star Ranch.

Our dog is like a sports car; very beautiful, lots of power, and requires ultra-specific and specialized care. She’s difficult. Dog Star Ranch has never backed down from the challenge and we trust all of their employees to not just care for our dog, but help her to be a little less high maintenance. We do daycare, boarding and have attended four training courses. We love sending her and she loves going. Just a mention of “Dog Star Ranch” prompts a swift trot to the door! They take care to get to know the dogs and they work hard to customize the dogs’ experience. I can’t think of a negative thing to say. We love DSR and we’ll be sending dogs there for as long as we live in Muskegon.

Dog Star Ranch has been a lifesaver for us. Our beagle has been struggling with separation anxiety, and it's hard to deal with that when both me and my wife work full time. In comes Dog Star to the rescue! I'm not sure what we would have done without them. The workers are all exceptionally friendly and helpful. When we pick him back up, our beagle is always happy and exhausted from a day full of play.Their website is well structured, making reservations very easy. There are even discounts for prepaid daycare and boarding packages! Long-time customer's tip: around Black Friday, you'll get the chance to buy extra-large prepaid packages at an even bigger discount. Huge deal for those of us that send our dogs here weekly!

Policy drivenCount on a very policy driven experience from Dog Star ranch. Over the past two years I’ve seen many small business do things to work with me when expectations weren’t met or plans changed due to Illness. They canceled bookings or refunded money, even when contractually they did not have to. This is not Dog Star Ranch.I noticed when booking a $50 deposit is required. It was not noted at first mention at booking this is a non refundable deposit. It was only when several days passed and a refund was not posted to my credit card did I look further.I called to inquire about refund and then was told it’s non-refundable. I decided to explain my situation (Covid) only to be met with a reply from the employee who answered the phone followed by a seemingly smug confirmation from 2 levels of management I would not get a refund of deposit. But would get a “credit” for future services. Wow! We’re not local so this is incredibly not useful.With additional fees for pickups outside of narrow windows and a hefty fee for Sunday pick up -(dog boarding is bankers hours?). I should have not been surprised when I had to cancel my booking that I would not see my deposit again. It’s not a big loss. But an unexpected reply from a small business. Policy driven.Regarding previous visit and current booking ease: My dog stayed there before. She was returned happy. I think she got plenty of exercise. The place is huge and looks like a good time for a dog. Website is very easy to navigate and booking is incredibly easy. Option to feed other food (chicken and rice) is great. Ability to load required vet paperwork was effortless.Know that even though it’s not obvious when booking, your deposit is non-refundable. End. Of. Story.Expect a very policy driven experience and no flexibility if it means a financial hit for Dog Star Ranch.3 stars. 5 for last boarding, 1 for going above and beyond your policy to “do the right thing”

This place is awesome , highly recommend boarding , daycare and grooming . The staff and owner are very sweet . The groomer Paige is pretty awesome and very patient and caring .

Dylan, Connor, and Ember love DSR Daycare!!!They say a good dog is a tired dog…That is what you get at DSR Daycare. The best feeling in the world is when your fur babies are sound asleep before you leave the parking lot.

Wish I could give this place 100 stars! Amazing staff, great environment for our pups, more than fairly priced for what you get. Dog Star was a large part of helping socialize our dogs and help them both with their confidence. The staff was always smiling and we could tell they LOVED their jobs! Hope we can find a place that we trust and value in our new area, as much as we did with Dog Star Ranch! Beasley and Bonnie will miss you all!

Wonderful! We boarded our dog for 3 nights while visiting Muskegon (no pets allowed at our hotel) & they were kind enough to let us take her out during the day and return her for the evening. They could not have been nicer!The facilities are beautiful and we knew our dog must have loved it there when we returned her for the night and she happily went with her 'Star Buddy'.

Started bringing our puppies there before the pandemic started and continue to still bring them here. Our dogs love everyone there and going there. Couldn't ask for a better place to care for our animals when we are out if town or they need a day to run and play with other dogs

So far so good! Our first 3 night stay went very well. Our lab was just spayed prior to the stay and they took very good care to ensure she followed the post-surgery "limited activity" requirements. The dog seems to really enjoy going there and the staff is professional and friendly. We're not "animal crazies" but we definitely want reliable and safe boarding for our dog -- and Dog Star Ranch does it for a very reasonable rate. Just booked our second stay!

Scout had so much fun going to daycare here while we were on vacation! She was always excited when we pulled in the drive, staff is so friendly and you can see in the pictures how happy the dogs are. I would give 10 stars if I could and am so happy she had her own fun getaway while we were on vacation. If we ever get back to Muskegon, we will definitely make this part of the trip!

It has been over a year since I brought my dogs to Dog Star Ranch. I have two Weimaraners and in-trusted their care to Dog Star Ranch. My dogs would have regular daycare trips throughout the week. They sometimes had grooming services while at daycare.I have seen a tremendous amount of growth to their business over the last three years. I think the place had what was once humble beginnings. We have all seen businesses that fail to reinvest and Im afraid that is the case here. I dont leave reviews much but my dogs are very important to me and they are my life. I think the vast majority of dog owners will find this review more informational than some sort of emotional rant.Over two years ago I left my dogs for overnight stay spanning multiple nights. When I picked them up one of them had silver teeth. Nobody from dog Star Ranch communicated with me whatsoever. I did not say anything because I did not want to overreact. I continued to bring my dogs on regular day care visits at least three days a week. This continued to occur every time I would bring the dogs for daycare. At one point I stopped bringing the dogs and the silver wore off one of my older Weimaraner‘s teeth. I then brought him back and continued regular daycare and the silver teeth happened again. Over a year later nothing was said and I did not know what to do. I did not want to seem like I was complaining about their services but I care about my dogs and I was left in a hard spot.One day I received a call from Dog Star Ranch and they indicated that one of my Weimaraner‘s was bleeding from the gums. I went to pick him up and took him to my local vet. He had been doing so much chewing on the galvanized fencing at Dogstar ranch that two of his lower teeth were cracked and had to be removed. I’m not sure how much emotional trauma my dogs went through and what exactly went on at that place. I was never offered an explanation about what happened. I will never know if my dogs were locked in cages or what really happened. Seems to me if I were the owner an explanation would be needed.The owner called me and sent me an email basically firing me as a client. She said she “…saw me at the Ring doorbell and heard what I said.” I told the young woman that I was very upset and I think that they should rename their business Money Star Ranch. It is clear the owner lost touch with the humble beginnings of their original business. This is something that will affect my pet for the rest of his life. I’ve been reluctant to take them anywhere since.Think twice before you trust this place with the care of your beloved pets. It has been over a year since my pets have been there and it is still painful to think about.

the staff is wonderful, they take very good care of my dog. She had a very very bad experience getting her nails trimmed as a puppy and wouldn't let anyone touch her feet for a very long time. Since dogstar has started trimming her feet she's fine with anyone touching her feet now. Also, their grooming and groomers do an excellent job.
