These are the best pasties in Munising!! They are so flavorful compared to other pasties. The dough and crust is amazing and the options are unbeatable!!!! We love that there are random new flavors each day. We ate these 2x/week for 3 weeks during our stay in town and also tried all the other pasty places but always came back to Miner’s. We took our pasties to Grand Island and reheated them over a fire, which was the best lunch break! One criticism we have is that the sausage needs to be cooked all the way through better or chopped into smaller chunks when cooking. I would recommend Miners Pasty to everyone who is visiting or passed through Munising!Parking: Maybe 10-15 spots in a small lot with an awkward shape and one entrance only. RVs were able to park in the street across from the shop for just a few minutes to get pasties.

Miners Pasties are hands down the best pasties in the UP as we tried a few. The yooper pasty was amazing. My one daughter who is a vegan appreciated the vegan option and enjoyed it immensely. Crusts are flavorful and flaky. The owner, Pam makes the pasties herself. Both ladies were so friendly and welcoming! Don’t pass this place up in Munising, you won’t be disappointed!

What a deliteful UP stop! We have always had our fave Pasty stop in Munising, but this time decided to try a different spot for the beloved up north food experience. Miners did NOT disappoint! Selected the Yooper pasty (pronounced pass-tee) with beef, carrots, rutabaga and potato. The crust was flaky, the veggies tender and the beef spiced just right. Carol was our lovely service assistant and she was an incredible source of wisdom on the differences between area pasty shops. If you find yourself in Munising Michigan in the Upper Peninsula, be sure to stop by Miners Pasty on the corner or Lynn and Munising Avenue, grab a spot on the outdoor benches and enjoy a hot, fresh, locally made pasty.

Nice friendly atmosphere. This isn’t a dine in restaurant. There are plenty of places to sit outside though. I never had a pasty before. They were good. I was disappointed that they sold out of the Stromboli that was on special. So I got the traditional Yooper. Everything is pre made so really no waiting. I was kind of hoping to see the process, but a nice thing to experience the traditional pasty.

Made a brief stop here and the pastie was fantastic. Can hardly wait to visit again and grab another Yooper. Do yourself a favor and try one, you wont be disappointed.Kid-friendliness: Family oriented atmosphere.

Had vegetarian Pasty. I loved it! Never had Pasty before, for first time experience it was pretty good. The shop owner said it’s his grandma’s recipe and totally was worth taking the chance! They have outdoor picnic table to enjoy ur Pasty at!!Vegetarian options: Vegan options with non dairy and vegetables

It's a "thing" to eat a pasty while traveling in Michigan's Upper Peninsula - a meal staple for miners back in the day. They are still popular today - perhaps more so, with a variety of ingredients, but always baked inside that flaky crust. So, when visiting Munising recently, I stopped by Miners ... two days in a row, and got The Yooper (classic). The first night I also indulged in ice cream - I believe it was blueberry & cheesecake. Definitely worth the visit(s).

We liked the savory pasties here better than Muldoons. Very good! Cheeseburger pasty is served with special sauce and tastes like a Big Mac (only juicier and with more flavor). So delicious and filling.

We heard about these pasties and the miners they were cooked for while on a boat tour. So we had to stop and try this local food that we had been seeing signs for all over Upper Michigan. They did not disappoint. We got two regular yoopers and one breakfast one from this little food kitchen. Loved them they were so delicious. Wish we could come again maybe next time we are in town.

Although it's been awhile since my last Pasty. I have to say this was the best I have ever eaten. We had the Yooper, and it was filled with flavor, the crust was perfect and flakey, the filling had just the right amount of moisture to it not soggy or dry. The service was super friendly and she was happy to educate you about their pasties if you have never had one.

The owner literally turned a disappointing night into a wonderful evening. Entered pasty shop just as she was closing up for the night. We explained that after a disappointing dinner elsewhere in town, we were looking for ice cream to end the evening. She cheerfully led us across the street to the shop there and opened it just for us. Sampled several very good ice cream flavors. Dessert pasty was delicious. When in Munising, definitely recommend going here.

Excellent! So flaky and the filling was delicious. I had the yooper and my husband had the vegan. The owner is the nicest! And the yooper is her Grandma Sophie’s recipe. These are only our second pasty experience. The first time we had them was in a bigger city at a highly recommended place, but these here were much better.

The pasties were excellent and the staff were warm and welcoming.I tried the breakfast and the yooper pasty. The filling was delicious and the pasty was baked to absolute perfection. It wasn't too crispy nor too moist, just right.Would highly recommend.

Delicious!!! Generously sized with plenty of filling. It was perfect after a long day of hiking and climbing.We both had the Yooper. Their coleslaw is nice and crunchy and not too mayo-y. Homemade chocolate chip cookies to round it out! I love small local businesses!

We loved Miners Pasty Kitchen so much we went back twice during our stay in the area. The Pasty’s were really good, we had the Yooper, we didn’t care for the onion , but that’s a personal preference, the crust was so flaky and delicious and the filling had excellent flavor and we really enjoyed the ice cream sandwiches, they were delicious! The staff are also very friendly and helpful!

Took two trips to the UP in Fall 2021. Stayed in Munising for the first one and fell in love with the pasties from Miners Pasty Kitchen! My daughter and I were glad to have the Vegan option available, whilst husband had a traditional beef. All of them were terrific in my humble opinion. We tried pasties wherever we could and these by far were the best! Even went out of our way on second trip to pick some up for home!

Amazingly delicious pasties! Love the many varieties but traditional is always the best. Breakfast style was a second favorite. Great to grab and eat out on the trail. Customer service was also superb, the lady (owner I think?) was so friendly and even threw in an extra for us to try. I hope they continue to be open in the colder months!!!
