I’m down in Southeast Michigan and have had the jerky a few times, it’s the best I’ve ever had. Recently, a friend of mine went north and brought me back some fish dip. I can’t believe how good it is. I had to stop myself from eating the entire container at one go! I’m already looking forward to my next order and this one’s not even done yet.

This place is the real deal! While not the only place along this stretch to smoke fresh fish right on premise, it is a personal favorite. More than fish for sale, though the smoked fish will have you coming back!

This place was busy and I could see why. They had a great selection of fish, and other unique food. They had souvenirs at decent prices. It was worth the stop, just to see this unique shop. The staff were so friendly.

Long winded review but, I came here around three years ago to stop and get some gas. Saw they had some trinkets and spices for sale. Grabbed the “butter garlic” one and fell in love! I live in the lower peninsula but come up once or twice a year and always make sure to swing by and restock. I’m writing this review because my trip got delayed and I couldn’t go through summer without my favorite seasonings! Unfortunately they were out of garlic butter but the sweet onion burger rub was still in stock! Grabbed a few new ones and I’m so amazed that my order is being delivered TWO days after delivery!Awesome customer service and great products at a good price. Highly recommend grabbing some seasonings if you’re in the area.

I've got both their smoked whitefish and salmon several times, it's so very good!! I look forward to getting it each time I'm in the U.P.!! The driveway in/out for the gas station can be difficult when there is a good amount of traffic, not alot of space..

Some of the best smoked fish I’ve ever had, seriously great stuff. Definitely get the lake trout. Very friendly staff that don’t try to rush you while you. The beef jerky and slim Jim’s are fantastic as well. Top notch place!

When ever we travel US 2 to Wisconsin, we always stop to buy Smoked 2 Lake Trout, 1 or 2 Whitefish, 2-3 containers of their smoked fish dip, and a pound of Teriyaki Jerky. Been customers for 50 years and have Never been disappointed….

Fun fact - I stayed here when it was a motel (restaurant and store), on our road trips when growing up, back in the 60s and 70s! Someday, I'll stop in again as the fish market/store that it is now. I always wondered what became of this place - it was the only hotel we stayed at on our two-day road trip. The UP was so beautiful, too. I loved it up there. Used to walk down to the lake, and at night, I remember being able to see the bridge lit up in the distance from there.

Where to start. Service was friendly and efficient, even though they were constantly busy. The smoked fish (White fish and Salmon) are done right and are delicious. My wife who is a smoked fish connoisseur said it some of the best she has had. The beef stick are awesome and the cheese we had was great as well.The smoker was going full blast as you drove in and you get the full aroma as you pull in the parking lot. worth the stop and maybe even a side trip from mackinaw the next time we are up there.

Just wow! I travel a lot for my work and It's nice to come across such welcoming, friendly people in this day and age. I like to try the local fare and support small business wherever I can. I went with the regular and hot beef sticks, and smoked string cheese. Amazing! Not a "must try" if you're in the area, but a destination you should add along your route!

The Ying: Delicious smoked fish (bought one each of Lake Michigan Lake Trout hunk and a whole Whitefish, two hunks farmed Salmon, and a couple packs of cheese curds) clean little store, great service with smiles, and was served quick after a few minutes waiting turn at a busy time mid-day. They also have a jerky selection, ice, foam coolers, sweets, and other assorted items. Brought the smoked fish and cheese to several parties, and it went over very well.The Yank: None, it's all good. Only sad if I drive by during off hours.

It's hard to have a favorite with so many smoked fish places but this place also sells wine..so scores a 5 on some romance..each fish market does their own thing, this place is absolutely delicious and can lean a bit more towards the medium well smoked fish. I find when choosing fish for a meal or snack knowing which place offers the flavor and texture I'm seeking. I've enjoyed several of their items and keep stopping thru.

Smoked Lake Trout and Salmon is so good, anytime I'm in the area I buy a piece.The Spicy Snack Stick's are the BEST and the Regular Snack Stick's are good too!!! Everytime driving buy on my way to Knoxville I buy two dozen each for the kids.I only tried to Beef Jerky once and on my BUY list too LOL.People working there have been great and friendly 😊

Stopped to get fuel here. Not only did I get fuel I got some fantastic smoked salmon and pepper jack slim jim's. Both were amazing. This place is truly awesome. If you love smoked meats and you're by this place you better stop. You won't regret it. They're extremely friendly and the store was clean, including the bathrooms which we're impeccable.

I'm from Northern IL, and the smoked white fish is amazing. Salmon is super tasty. Quality is top notch. Love this place.
