Started going there to get my propane tanks filled cuz they cheaper than Parker's propane and open longer than them.Only problem I have is that with my work schedule, I can't always make it in time and would love longer opening times.

Lots of knowledgeable and friendly staff here. Store carries lots of different products and offers a variety of affordable services, if they don't have what you need they can usually order it for you or direct you where to get it.I've been there several times recently with only an idea about a project and they were able to walk me through it from there with solutions and ideas to meet my end goal, most recently was customizing the air outlet and drain valve on my compressor and then figuring out what fittings I needed to run air lines across my garage.

Excuse the name but I need to write a review on how helpful these people are. I'm new to Montrose and have been in there twice now within a week. Both times I went, I was helped by a tall gentleman with short hair. He has been knowledgeable, quick and very honest about all my questions. I have left happy every time. These guys do an amazing job and I will continue to shop here for all my hardware needs.

Covid casual! Walked in with mask, 4 employees standing by the door, zero maskers! I remarked mask free zone; Reply was - A Free America. Was escorted to the item I was looking for, and had to ask him to step back. No social distancing either! Reading other reviews, this is not the only statement regarding this store, in this matter. May return, but no time soon. Maybe not , bad taste in management!

Avoid this store in the age of covid-19!Usually a decent little hardware, but ZERO associates are following the state guidelines about masks. This is not a political issues, but a public health one. Hopefully they change policy, but until then I urge anyone who cares about their health to avoid shopping here. Really unfortunate.Update 7/20/2020: The issue is in no way resolved. I was originally excited to think that the owners, or franchise, would be taking this issue seriously. This time there was 1 associate wearing a mask. I even got to hear a conversation between the manager and a customer (also unmasked) about how this was all a hoax. I stand by my rating, and will be taking my business elsewhere. The citizens of the town of Montrose deserve better.

Way over priced. I used to go here for odds and ends to support local but not after today. I went there for one item and while I'd did purchase it there, I got home and tried to find anywhere else selling it for even close to the same price. Everywhere else including mom and pop shops had the work light listed for 40-50% less than Gilroy's. I hope they at least pay there employees $20 an hour starting if this is what they plan to mark their products up to.

Very helpful staff, best key making service short of a professional locksmith, huge selection of merchandise for a small hardware store with prices that meet or beat the big stores. I shop here often.

Dryer wasn't working on Good Friday. Called Gill-Roy's about my problem. Mike helped my wife and I identify our problem. Then he gave us the knowledge to get the job done right. Thank you for your help!

This store is great, I see very political minded people complaining about catching a cold and giving this store a low rating . If you're scared to catch a cold stay home . Most helpful hardware around , great friendly service.
