Great staff, tasty food. My girlfriend, myself and a friend stayed for a three day weekend at cabin 3. You’re getting what you pay for. Late 90s era amenities. A bit cold on one of the nights only because the power went out. We were able to park directly in front of the cabin, including our snowmobiles. The food we ordered was delicious and the drinks at the bar were decently priced. Definitely will return.

We rented a cabin here for a night and ended up staying two more! Cozy place with a great store and good food. The cabin had everything we needed. Gas burning stove/oven, microwave, refrigerator, TV, nice bathroom and lots of cookware to use! We had previously rented a different cabin in the area and were so let down by it that we ended up driving around without staying and found this place! Great spot. Thank you!

We had the BEST experience here! Everyone was so friendly and helpful. We ended up adding 2 extra days onto our stay because we were having such a great time. We will absolutely be back, and with family and friends next time! Thank you so much to all the wonderful people at the Lac La Belle Lodge! 😊

Stayed a Lac La Belle Lodge February 3rd-5th 2022. We were in cabin 1 and our son and his buddies were in cabin 5. Cabins were comfortable and spotless. Skiing was outstanding and coming back to a warm cabin and being able to fix dinner was great. The Bear Belly store was well stocked with everything as well as great fresh to order chef prepared Dinner items as well as breakfast pasties! I think it’s probably my fifth time staying there and won’t be the last. WillHave to come back and see what it’s like without snow, could easily take tilAugust.

Top of the Keweenaw peninsula. Snowmobilers and overall adventures Paradise! Very nice people, great service, excellent food, beautiful views and the place is very well kept. See for your self, you won't be disappointed! We always love stopping here. And normally the trails are very well groomed, great ride!

I visited this lodge with my family (4 individuals) in the second week of July. We arrived at the lodge late (sorry) and they were able to accommodate us. The cabin that we stayed at (cabin #3) was spacey and all of the utilities were functional. We were surprised and grateful that there were kitchen supplies, towels, toilet paper, and bed sheets/pillows. Will likely visit again for the price as well as the awesome staff.

Literally some of the best food I have ever eaten. Customer service was phenomenal, they really love what they do. Right down the street from the Wilderness Resort but I would have happily drove an hour or two out of my way for the experience.

Absolutely the best darn fries I've ever had in my entire life! I could have made a meal out of just that. I had the Dave's burger with Mac and cheese... Everything is pretty much made in house. Beautiful scenery, great service, relaxing atmosphere, and our waitress was very nice and even helpful with things to do around the area. But seriously, I want to go back even just for the fries! And on the plus side, this is one of the very few places to get gas up here so fill up while you can and then go tour the Deleware Copper mine on your way out.

We we’re staying in Copper Harbor and selection for dinner was pretty limited. Took a ride to lac la belle and found Bear Belly Pit Stop. A small out of the way general store with a nice selection of sandwiches. We ended up getting cups of chili which was delicious and 2 brisket sandwiches.Grabbed the food and headed back to our hotel. Sat on the porch over looking the lake for sunset. Good food and fantastic evening.

Delicious food, convenient hours, reasonably enough priced (Lac La Belle is pretty far from town), and awesome service. I only wish the full restaurant and bar could still be open!I highly recommend Bear Belly's take-out meals.

Stopped here for lunch, really a hidden gem. Picnic tables overlooking the bay, beautiful view. I recommend the ribs and mac and cheese, if they have on special, I'd love to get that bbq sauce recipe!

Delicious gem out in the woods. Absolutely loved the environment- great view and cute decor. Service was amazing. I loved how they had a flip book description for their tap beers. Food was 5 stars. Attached is a little convenience store with some of their branded merchandise. No doubt, we will definitely be back!

Absolutely beautiful place, the view is amazing and the food is awesome. Great menu variety from large appetizer menu to full dinners so something for everyone. Owners are hands on and staff is very friendly. Wing Wednesday has a great variety, amazing homemade BBQ sauce for the Saturday rib special and always a busy Friday night Fish Fry. Definitely worth the trip there and I'm sure it will stay on your radar when in the area.

Fantastic place to stay, eat and fish! Wonderful cabins that are very well kept. All the essentials for the kitchen are provided. All the food at the Bear Belly Pit stop is AMAZING! The Wednesday wings and Ribs on Saturdays are the absolute best!! Fishing on the lake is something special with some of the best views. Truly a magical place. Highly recommended!

A great view, and even better food! The onion rings and fries were very good, and they have an extensive selection of burgers. When I went I got a burger that also had a second "patty" of baked mac 'n cheese on it. It was awesome. From the descriptions on the menu, it would be hard to order a bad meal.

A wonderful, family friendly restaurant that has something for everybody no matter what may strike your culinary fancy. The chef clearly puts time and passion into his menu and food. Everything I've had has impressed me and leaves me wanting more. The owners and waitstaff have a way of making you feel welcome and that you're a part of their family from the beginning of the dining experience through the end. We highly recommend visiting the Bear Belly Bar and Grill, you won't regret making this your dining choice, over and over again.

Bear Belly is fantastic. Great service and food! The deck is dog friendly and the view from there is gorgeous. I've never been disappointed with their regular menu, their fish fry, or their beer list. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the Keewenaw!

We have been here several times and even stayed at the cabins. This year 2019 the place lacked what it had last few years. It’s getting very busy and there is considerable wait times to be seated in the dinning area. My husband had the “philly cheese steak sandwich” and he said he was extremely disappointed. He said the onions and green peppers were boiled and flavorless. I had the Ruben and it was just OK.Looks like the resort is up for sale and the cabins have been spruced up with fresh paint. The place is just getting busy and it is understandable why the owners are trying to sell. It’s not a quiet little gem in the woods on a lake any longer.Wish we would have had a better experience. Unfortunately we will not be coming back.In the area we recommend The Michigan House in Calumet strongly! The Mariner is decent in Copper Harbor.
