Love this store! My dogs know when we are heading to this store and get excited! I have two water retreivers and they love to get their baths here! They get treats afterward, and also do a little shopping themselves. lol!Last time, they both grabbed rawhides off of the bottom shelves and I ended up buying them for them both. I didnt mind paying for them and the store clerks were very understanding. Nothing like shopping and a bath!I love the store mgr. and all the small-town feel of this store. They always have extracurricular activities going on like at Christmas, Pictures w/Santa, kitty adoption events, US military K-9 fundraisers--This is the way to build community!! The Manager always remembers me and is very friendly. I can't remember her name but appreciate the acknowledgement. BIg box stores are impersonal and generic.The groomer who works there does the BEST JOB on my dogs nails. My dogs are older and have longer nails but she ALWAYS trims them up nicely, trims the fur out between the paws and brings out the drimmel to shape them. I appreciate her services and its easier than EVER to keep up on their nail trims at a GREAT price. (some groomers demand $20 for nail trims--no thank you) I always tip her well.

Love this store. Rachael and everyone else is always so helpful and friendly. Their end of season sales tend to be a great deal, and theyre more than willing to take the extra time to make sure you have everything you need. Ive taken many of my foster dogs here for grooming and to use the bath and havent had a bad experience yet -- my dog has tried to steal a few treats though. Got my favorite leash and collar from here.

I came in to get a new harness for a very fast growing puppy. Rachel showed me a few options and picked one that was perfect for my pup. It is heavy duty, with lots of "growing room." She then gave a proper adjustment so it fit perfectly. Not only that, but she followed through with my wishes of not allowing the pup to jump up on her and to exhibit good social behavior. This shop has a great core of quality products and offers service that you won't find at the big box stores. I'll continue to give my business to Pet Valu Milan.

I love this store! So glad to have a local store where they know you and your dog when you walk in. Always greeted with a friendly smile and the staff is knowledgeable. Rachel (the owner) actually goes to seminars and conventions to learn about animal nutrition and can help to find the best options of foods, treats and toys for your furry (or not furry) friends. Not sure if the whole staff goes though... but I am certain the information gets passed on between the staff.

Do NOT take your pet here to be groomed! We took our dog in to have her nails trimmed because it was close to where we live and seemed more convenient than going to the vet. Any other time we have her nails trimmed we are in an out within 10 minutes not even. The groomer here was completely unprofessional and rude. She did a horrible job handling my pet, yelled at her, scaring my dog even more than she already was. I love the store and their inventory but would never recommend their groomer to anyone. My recommendation to the store, hire a new groomer, someone that is experienced and has good techniques to deal with pets being anxious, not someone that just stands there yelling.

I love this place! The associates are knowledgeable of the location and value of various products, and helped me select appropriate toys for my pets when I described their habits. There is a station for dog washing inside as well ^_^

What a quality find for just moving here!! Small animal prices seem to be the same as Pet supplies plus and Petco. Really large selection of small animal treats, accessories, and healthy options. That's rare for a small store and since that's what I'm looking for I'm thrilled. The lady who helped me was super friendly and knowledgeable about healthy options for house rabbits; which is also rare and welcome!

Used the dog wash and it was excellent. Perfect instructions and a very friendly staff. Lots of extras at no additional cost ie: towels, shampoos, great hair dryers even a cookie for the patient dog!

There is a new groomer named Joni she is very patient; we pamper our Corgi and she can be sassy. Joni worked with us when we asked her not to do certain things that we knew would scare Truffles, she let us watch her grooming. we have been through a few other groomers and we have finally found a very good one well worth the trip. Truffles looks great and seemed to be happy with Joni. We are definitely going back!

Great place to shop for your special friend. Staff is Wonderful. Very caring and committed to what's best for your pet. Prices are also good. Clean. Love taking my dog there for a bath.

Love this place! Great and friendly customer service, really big selection for a semi small store. Its like they had more then the big box stores because of the variety and not just the same stuff that everyone else has, some toys I've never seen before so I had to pick up a few of them for my puppers.

Came in to wash our Dog. Self wash stations are nice and clean, I do wish they offered some brushes to comb hair out so bring your own! Pretty reasonable at $10 (better than using home tub), if you sign up for their card I think the 7th wash is free. Unfortunately they don't sell the food we use (fromm) so we won't be buying our dog food here.

This is the first Pet Valu location I've shopped at. Normally, I shop for my dog at PetCo or PetSmart locations in Ann Arbor, so having a local pet store is great. Compared to other retailers, prices are competitive while maintaining quality products. The staff here is extremely helpful and welcoming. The store, in addition to a great selection of treats, food, and toys, has a self serve dog wash station that cost $10. All in all, Pet Valu is a great addition to Milan and I can't recommend it enough!

I really like this pet store. I just have to give it 3 stars because In the middle of this Covid-19 pandemic the women working here was wearing a mask but the whole time it was pulled under her nose. This completely defeats the purpose. When working at a essential business that interacts with customers I believe everyone needs to be responsible as possible. Otherwise I would give 5 stars.

What a great place! I'd never been there before, but I will definitely be going back. I took my dog there for Santa pictures and was amazed at how well stocked the store is. They have everything! (Including a very friendly staff! ) Looking forward to my next visit there.

It's nice to have a pet store within walking distance of our home. The staff are friendly and courteous. Prices aren't bad. They do price comparison and will beat the competitor's prices.

Today was my first trip in. Having no idea what to expect, it was very quaint, the staff was friendly and very helpful.I went in for just a look-see, but wound up with a few car toys that are not available at the big box stores. I will definitely tell my friends and family about them.

Friendly attentive staff! Pet wash area is crazy helpful!! I have a large dog who hates baths. This was BY FAR the easiest bath she has ever had!!!!

It makes me sad that I drove here with expectations of knowledgeable and kind staff. Then I show up and I somehow was a burden to Katie and she is obviously misserble there. We wont be back because we'd hate to bother her again with our presence while shopping for my 4 fur babies.

Super cute Pet shop in Milan, MI. The manager and staff are always helpful and have tons knowledge to assist in what you are looking for. If you are looking for a more friendly and warm approach to your pet shopping, this is definitely a place to make your go-to.

It is a wonderful and friendly store. Ee r heartbroken that it is closing despite doing very well. The company should look at stores doing well and keep them open.
