Great family owned hardware store. Employees eager to assist you with whatever you need to get you in and out on your way to get what you need done. I had plumbing projects to get accomplished, and I was out in 20 minutes. Really nice, and I didn't have to bring anything back because they gave me the wrong parts. 👍

This is an adorable small town hardware store! It's considerably smaller than large home improvement stores yet it still manages to have all the basic necessities for homeowners. The staff is friendly and helpful, and customers aren't being nagged into opening credit cards. A+

I really appreciate small town businesses like this one. Great home town atmosphere and reall.good service! Prices are a little higher that the big box stores but I am willing to spend more to help keep these mom and pop stores going!

I bought a house in Milan several years ago. Latham's has always been my go-to spot to get any equipment I need rented and really anything that i might need. Don't let the small size fool you! All the staff are super helpful and I've even had my lawn mower repaired there a few times. It's a great local business!

Let me just say right out front that the people who work here are friendly, and hard working. Salt of the earth.However....Clutter is the main theme here. While they do have the basics, and they may have more than the basics, it's hard to walk down narrow aisles with so much stuff on the floor, that in many areas it would be impossible for two people to walk side by side.This store harkens back to an older age, where you have to rely on the proprietor to help you find all but the nails, screws and bolts, which are just about the only things that can be considered to be "organized".If you live in downtown Milan, you might find what you need here, but I don't suggest going out of your way to find out.Milan needs successful businesses, and this one has been in business for a long time. While the format does not appeal to me, SOMEONE must be shopping here. More power to them.

Ran up to the store at 5:02 pm Saturday night because my band "Jean Wilson & Friends" was playing at "The Owl Morning Till Night" up the street and my music stand lamp bulb was dead. They were closed and I could see the nice lady at the cash register saying "Sorry, closed". I grovelled and begged and she let me in and sold me a music stand lamp bulb. Halfway through the gig I stepped on the power chord and the lamp fell off the stand onto the floor but the light kept working!! We had a great gig and I couldn't have done it without the stand light! Thanks Latham's Downtown Hardware!!

I love Latham's Hardware! They are the typical small town hardware store where you get greeted by the employees and they have pretty much everything you need! Forget the big box store, go to Latham's and you won't be disappointed!!

They have a good selection of bolts and screws. I needed stainless steel machine screws and they had exactly the small ones that I needed they even had miniature ones for special uses like eyeglass frames.
