THE most beautiful general store. Has a coffee bar, contemporary-chic style with gorgeous seating available. See pics! The gift store side is full of unique items, not like what you would find in most stores. Plus, there's even an antiques area! The design of this place was well thought out. It was hard to leave, it's so cozy. Across the street from the White Horse Inn, it's a perfect place to head to for some extra fun in town.

Love the idea of the store, how they kept it historic just like metamora. The artists’ items for sale here are unique and well made. Relaxing atmosphere indoor and out, dog friendly which I love. We don’t love the food however. Everytime we’ve gotten food it’s been pretty terrible. Pizza sits like a rock in your gut, no flavor, too heavy of a crust almost like it’s a few days old, absolutely no flavor either and it’s always lukewarm not hot like pizza should be. The sandwiches are basically just bread bread and more bread, not homemade delicious bread either, hard and flavorless bread. Not much in the sandwich either. It’s disappointing because they could have a great thing going if they changed up how they make the food and what they make.Other than that, it’s a great addition to the community and beautifully renovated and decorated.

Great store. You can find prepared food ready to take home and heat from the White Horse inn across the street, Metamora shirts and hats limited hit food for consumption on site at great little tables. Many unusual items, most with horse theme but many other themes as well. Adequate parking behind the store along with some street parking. Always clean and decorate well. Unique items of many categories.Tables inside and outside to enjoy your coffee or other items of food available. Overall, unique, cute (not a word you'll hear me say much) and highly worth a visit. Recommend.Parking: Close parking lot and close street parking if you want.Wheelchair accessibility: Usual wheelchair accessibility although front door uses a ramp equal to about 4 steps height and a slight ramp indoors if you want to access another area.

BEST STORE EVER!!! Absolutely wonderful! The employees are some of the friendliest, accommodating, and genuinely down-to-earth people I have met. They go above and beyond to make sure our visits are well worth it--love that the store is dog friendly!! The pups also love it there. Whether you are at Metamora General to enjoy a nice glass of wine with friends, grab a quick lunch, or pick up a beautiful gift for a loved one, you are sure to leave happy. We decided to have a professional social gathering here. The atmosphere was casual but clean and professional. The wine and coffee selection was decent and the service was great. This little gem has a little bit of everything to offer. From essential groceries, local souveniers, or snacks and coffee...this general store won't disappoint.

We love Metamora General. Friday is our time to purchase a bottle of wine and sit and absorb the upscale ambience that is Metamora General. Metamora General and its sister, White Horse Inn is an unexpected juxtaposition of rural and urban culture centered around horses. With a prolific offering of fine wines to choose from, the quaint idea of to sit and talk over a glass of wine takes on a much deeper feeling. In no time the bottle is empty, your heart is full, and the belly is empty. Time head across the street to the White Horse Inn so your belly can have fun too.

My wife and I like to ride on our motorcycle to this store. We enjoy the clothing and other unique items featured here! We also enjoy the coffee and goodies they have to offer. There is something for everyone here and the staff is very friendly and courteous! Take a ride and stop in. You will enjoy as well.

This store is so worth the drive to get here. The storefront is absolutely gorgeous! They are open until 9pm most nights which is great! They have snacks, drinks, fresh and delicious to-go meals, fresh baked cookies, hot tea, cool knick knacks, jewelry and all kinds of equestrian apparel. The staff is awesome and the manager does a great job and is very nice. 10/10 would recommend you stop by next time you're in the Metamora area.

What a great store/restaurant! My daughter and I enjoyed a couple of freshly made Panninni sandwiches Turkey and Ham and cheese warmed up to melting! Delicious! The dining area feels like home. There is a couch an chairs like a living room. The dining room has a classic wood table and chairs like at grandma's house! They also have board games! I can't wait to return.

Cool ! ( as in appealing! ) and unique ! Like 3 stores in one. Good food. Nice quality merchandise. Pricing fair, except for clothing, which is, in my opinion, extremely expensive for any average-income visitor. Some casual clothing & accessories are reasonably priced. Great atmosphere. Outdoor seating & scheduled events are very appealing. Another 'pride of Metamora' entity !

It's outstanding. Great coffee and donuts. And full of high quality mostly lady things. Comfortable and all new in a 100 year old gas station. Go once and you'll go again. It's in the center of a charming old town. Great antique store , jewelry shop, and auto repair shop. And more.

I love the unusual selection of unique gifts and wine; however, I recently went there with a small group of friends and we purchased 2 bottles of wine that we wanted them to open and drink on their patio, which is allowed. When I asked the clerk to please open the wine she advised us that it was a $10 corking charge PER BOTTLE for her to spend about 1 minute each to pop the cork. This is pure greed and such an unjustifiable charge.

Best hometown general store in the country. Definitely my favorite place to get beer/booze, prepared dinner from the White Horse Inn, Metamora branded clothes, last minute Mother's Day gift, etc.. Also, their pizza and coffee are awesome.
