Finally, after years of driving by on Holiday weekends and not being able to stop in, I got the chance today. Very friendly staff. They had a very large selection of used ammo and mortar cans to look through. They aren't 1999 prices, but the prices are fair. Enjoyed visiting with Max for a minute.

Frank is super helpful, and a really cool guy.They had plenty of MREs and uniforms from different branches. Both original and reproductions. I went to buy a jacket and found much more.Plus they have a dog named Mad Max and he is super sweet. I’ll definitely be returning soon.

If I could give no stars I would. I bought my first gun from here for $1,700 and was told it could be worth up to $2000 and that I got it for a steal. I had professionals look at it and it was said to be worth $600. Apparently the gun barrel was shot out. Frank is a dishonest scumbag who sells inferior products. Wouldn't recommend this store to anyone ever.

You need to be careful of the proprietor. Summer of 2013 I took my MAC 11 to him becausehe said he could repair it. I gave him $350 for repair and $85 worth of ammunition asrequested by him for test firing. After several months, he sent gun back withoutcontacting me. I found the box on my porch in the fall. If I had been out of town, itcould have been stolen. More importantly, the gun was never repaired and he kept$85 of ammunition without compensating me. You can conclude for yourself aboutthe man.Larry Williams

Purchased several items from Lapeer Military Surplus. Employee's were quick and knowledgeable from the time I walked in, until the time I left.I don't no who his past employees were, from past reviews I can see why they don't work there any more.Times have a changed my friend. All my need have been met with a smile and a hand shake.

Not open on Sunday. Online and the sign on the door said open. My son was bummed out. He was looking forward to seeing the military stuff.

Not recommended for Class 3 firearm transfers-Sent wrong FFL number, delaying my transfer 5 months, I had to resubmit Information and start over.-Did not have any fingerprint cards, said he would order more from the ATF, after weeks of hassle, I had the out of state seller I originally purchased the firearm from send them to me personally.-Frank then said he would have the forms filled out, had to stop in to the store multiple times, and they were never completed, I had to fill them out myself.-One of my visits, they were complaining loudly throughout the shop that a different customer had also been given the wrong FFL# and had also wasted 5 months on a transfer-My fingerprint cards were not completely filled out, delaying my transfer AGAIN- did not call when my forms arrived (even though I double checked he had my contact information less than a week earlier)The only 2 GOOD points I can make about my transaction through Lapeer Military are the following:~$75 Class 3 transfer is $100+ cheaper than any surrounding businesses.~Frank made special arrangements so I could pick up my firearm after hours

Just drove 30 minutes to go to the shop, Google says they are open to 6. Just found out the hard way they are closed on all day Monday. Highly suggest you change your hours on Google. Had high hopes of this place cause of their reviews. Just because of the drive, I may not visit this place again.
