I was totally taken by surprise when I came to this Dollar General Market! This location sells produce.Compared to all of the others, there’s actual walking space! You can clearly see down the isles, it’s clean and well stocked! Definitely worth the drive!

Completely remodeled, it's actually a nice, clean store now. Improved grocery and produce area, better lighting inside, no boxes or junk lying around in the aisles. It's now a pleasure to shop here. Prices seem comparable to Kroger, maybe a few cents lower.

Not handicap friendly at all. Seems to be the culture of all three chains owned by dollar tree. This store was recently renovated, and to get a shopping cart I was directed to the middle of the parking lot. I have a hard enough time walking without having to walk there to get a cart. Then once you're done shopping you have to go to the far end of the store to get a checkout with a cashier and if you can navigate thru the merchandise and stock to checkout.I've come here for at least 15 years but have since stopped and will go to target or someplace else. Good job. And not enough room to get a wheelchair to the the cashier when I was thereUpdate as of 2-26 someone must read the reviews.I drove by the store and the carts are by the door.

12/7/23 Racist employees the-older Caucasian lady (cashier) was very friendly and courteous to another customer ahead of me.When I approached the counter she did not speak and was VERY rude as she was checking me out.As I was leaving I said have a good day and she sarcastically responded with the wave of her hand as if she was shooing me out of the store.This behavior was unwarranted and unnecessary, sad that people are on the front lines servicing customers with this type of ignorant mentality.

I always go there since its close to home. Everything is alright except one worker whos always rude to customers, the others r kind. This place goes out of stock so quick, so most of the time u might not find what u want. Other then thats its great and i wish if they had more crafty items.One side note for Dollar General: you guys should have a sign where it says "Line Starts Here," that will make you guys more organized. Also the self scan, please have it fixed its been out for a very long time now.

Great store for convenience and odds and ends but when I return something on my debit card they only offered to give me a gift card or put it back on my card when the same store has offered me cash since it's technically taking cash out of my bank account when you use debit but I really needed that money back in cash because I don't want to wait up to a week to get my money on my card and it was only $10 and I bought $4 worth of stuff on my return so they would have only been giving me $6 and some change instead of putting it back on my debit card everywhere else including this store has given me cash when I have used a debit card and made a return with that card. May be calling the manager when they open back up tomorrow.

I love this dollar general. It is a very big store. The employees are pretty friendly. The work hard. The store is always stocked up every time I go in there. The employees also help you as much as they can. They keep the store clean too. The spot is convenient. Sad that the grocery store next door burned down. The prices are also reasonable. It seems like it would be a good place to work at. I wouldn't mind working here.

I used to shop here quite a bit then I noticed they DO NOT CARE for their employees. I used to live a crossed the hall from one of their employees a they moved out. I get their mail and take it to her when I go but I haven't seen her. I had called and they wont let me know when if or when she works next. I asked them to have her call me but never did. I have some VERY IMPORTANT mail for her and they told me it was her problem. They didn't even bother to get my number or go in the office to contact her. I WILL NOT SHOP there anymore. If they DO NOT CARE FOR OR RESPECT their fellow employees why should I spend my money there. I wish this place was burnt down and closed and Dollar tree was still there Dollar tree is a better place anyway.

Usually the employees are really nice and helpful. Not this time, though. I had an employee snatch things from my hand. Like I understand if you’re having a bad day but that’s not an excuse to take it out on the customer. He looked mad the whole time and was very rude to me. I also could hear an employee be mean to what sounded like a new employee. She was doing an amazing job so I didn’t understand why she was getting yelled at. Either way this place isn’t worth going to. They should be retraining on customer service.

The location is very easy to find. The store is always clean and neat and staff is always available to assist if you cant find something on your own. U never had a bad experience here

The store was filthy! Very cluttered shelves were such a mess! I have beeb to many other Dollar General Stores and I was very pleased But this was my first and Last time to this one VERY DISGUSTING!!! However the lady cashier was very sweet and had good people skills!

A lot of the items were went for were out of stock unfortunately. Was greeted to rap music upon entering, playing louder then it should be at that. Somewhat inappropriate for little ones, not what you usually expect when visiting a business. Cashier was friendly.

Easy parking and in and out trip. Check out lines were very long but it was the holidays. Only issue I had were there was only one cashier which made zero sense. Parking lot had plant of parking. The staff was polite and helpful as well.

Walked in to simply but some wipes for my son. I waited in line for 5 minutes the only one in line, while trying to get the attention of two workers who were carrying on with their loud conversation ignoring me. While two works (separate workers, from a different company) seeing me not being served and ignored. I finally rung the bell and some girl walks out of the back with the worst attitude I had to post about it. No conversation no I am sorry about bo one being here to assist you. I dont expect everyone to be super friendly in the morning but if you're going to work with a job that you're going to have to interact at least dont give attitude. Never coming back there's other places out there.

I am a bonefide shopper at dollar general. I frequent the store no less than 3 times per week. Im pretty much in tune what to expect on certain days and times. My last visit not too much out of the norm. I must say tho that certain beauty products should have a larger inventory as to not having it but once vs third and fourth visit.

Always long wait an one of the managers were rude an the african American cashier was so slow ringing up one by one thing's of same stuff an just moving slow when he had a line rapped around the building also the manager didn't help at all she was to busy putting away the frozen stuff as if they couldnt put it in the deep freezer for now an help ring up customers. They are over priced on alotta stuff you can find at Walmart for cheaper so yes I go to Walmart for thing's then driving down the street an paying more then I should.

If staff was more friendly when you have a buggie full of items, 3 kids behaving, rather than huff and puff be 4 stars. Try having more than one register open all the time, might help!

Today at Melvindale, Mi DG at 1130am I witnessed a DG Employee assisit a young boy (about 10). Helped him find product. Child did not have enough money. Paid in change. DG employee payed $5 out his own pocket to help child. In todays confusing messed up world It was wonderful to see a simple act of kindness.
