First timer here. I'm rating 2 stars for the lack of cleanliness as well as the food. We ordered cheese curds and a pulled pork sandwich. Cheese curds were good, the sandwich was dry, and nothing special. The ice creams were good. Yes, we realize this is an older building, but the lack of cleanliness was surprising. A bunch of teenagers standing around not working at all. Also, to note this was guaranteed a slow day seeing how lightning and thunderstorms rolled through from 10-2. Just disappointing.

So a couple comments. I'm from the Grand Rapids area, full of ice cream shops. So the critiques are founded on different observations across multiple ice cream locations.There are three things I'll point out on a somewhat negative basis. First, they charge for a cup of ice water. Something which I haven't run across from any of the other ice cream shops I've stopped at. Not a water bottle, a cup of water.Second, the portions are much smaller than normal. The large soft serve ice cream is more akin to a medium or small. While also costing more. Same for the other items as well. Everything seemed priced a step above and a size below.Thirdly, this is a personal pet peeve, I dislike having signs every where saying smile you're on camera. It's not a tech stop and there isn't anything you can take. For me personally, it rather detracts from the atmosphere.I will say, the customer service was great. Here is the summation of my experience and my review.Customer service: 4.5/5Cost, a size high & a portion low: $$Facilities: 4/5Food: 4.0

Fantastic ice cream place right near Silver Lake and the state park with some cool spots to enjoy your desert. It is a little pricey, but it is worth it!

This is the best ice cream I’ve had in years! I got hard ice cream, we also bought an innertube as they sell all kinds of recreational items outside at very reasonable prices. There’s also a very nice park for children to play at an interesting items outside. my children enjoy putting a quarter into the quarter machine and watching a monkey swing and giving them a price. very cool place to stop at on the way to or from a trip. we will definitely be back!!!

Wonderful little stop off. Service is quick. Plenty of outdoor seating. Large parking lot. Ice cream and food were great portion. Went back three times. If I could have fit a forty foot trailer and truck would have been four stops.

Whippy Dip was delicious ! We hit it up after dune rides, then we played on their playground. The staff was friendly and the facility was clean.

It's ice cream - what more can I say. Standard fair, and good. Don't expect Ben & Jerry's. Their frisbee offer packs a lot of ice cream and other goodies.

While it is more expensive than a Dairy Queen, occasionally we splurge and stop here. Their ice cream, soft serve, is Excellent! Their options, SOOOO MANY too choose from!! They have such a creamy flavor that it is truly worth the drive!Hot Fudge Brownie Sundaes, YUM!!!Very generous portions! Atmosphere, Wonderful! Playground for kids!

I had one scoop of Butter Pecan ice cream in a cup. It was so small, that I thought it was a child size. It cost $4.00 plus tax, which was way too much for what I got. I would like to say reference to owners' response, that he has me mistaken for someone else. I never got out of my car and discussed the scoop size with Zach. I called to set the record straight and he did not call me back. I stand by my original review, and it is honest! I'm very disappointed that the owner would not attempt to set the record straight. Shame on you, but not surprised.

Great atmosphere. Staff were all professional yet friendly and polite. Went in the middle of the day when we knew it wouldn't be super busy. Ice cream was fantastic and there was a playground that entertained my kids for a while.

Popular place. Good ice cream. Sensible policy on masks during Covid-19 (outdoor venue so not mandatory so wear them or don't, but no bullying of others who chooses differently from you). Fun stop but pricey for small portions...and portions were even smaller when served in a cup instead of a cone. And no sugar free options (though they did mention they have dairy free). Parking was decent but not shady. Did have a limited RV parking option.

The ice cream treats are yummy. Highly recommend the turtle sundae and dipped banana. But the hot food was just so so. Def go and enjoy the frozen treats - skip the burgers and hot dogs.

Excellent chili fries. Loved the chocolate malt. Will be back for another round. Still remember my boys who are now 35 & 39 pestering when they were little "we want Whippy Dip!"

Fun summer spot for soft-serve ice cream. Our daughters split a "Test Hill," served on a Frisbee. Out back, there is a bed that looks a bit sketchy. Maybe don't pay to sleep there.

Cool place , not as long of lines as the other couple places that are more down town and ice cream and menus are just as good if not better 👍👍, make the extra 2 min drive and you won't be disappointed 😀

Friendly staff and great facilities! You will always be able to find a place to sit (plenty of picnic tables in both the sun and shade). Playground for kids. Good food!

The ice cream is delicious, but more than that, the customers and the workers are amazing! I left my purse behind, someone turned it in, and the employees kept it for me until a family member could pick it up. Praise Jesus for honest people! Highly recommend!

Very expensive. I ordered a malt which tasted like SOAP. The turtle sundae was good, hence the two stars or I would have given it a minus 2. Had several people in our group taste the malt and all said it was soapy. Yuck

Always busy- be prepared to wait! Pretty good selection of ice cream. The sundaes seemed to be where it was at. The regular ice cream was just ok in my opinion. Tried a few flavors including cookie dough and birthday cake.

Excellent choices and friendly staff. If you are up for a challenge then try to conquer “Test Hill” It comes served on a frisbee and is more ice cream than one person can handle. If you just want an awesome ice cream treat then try their World Famous Turtle Sundae (my favorite).
