It seems to me lots of people would find 25 pound bags of water softener salt to be easier to manage than 40 pound bags. But apparently not because I have to special order the lighter bags. Ace Hardware in Mason is very accommodating of this and they load the bags into my vehicle. Very helpful staff!

Ace is convenient and I always find what I need there. It seems like the staff outnumbers the customers. That's probably not true but they always appear when I need them, making it seem that way

Had a great experience when I stopped here on my way to work. I was in a hurry and didnt know where to find what I was looking for. George was very kind and helped me find exactly what I was looking for. The staff here are very attentive and willing to help. I will be stopping here again!

Let me tell you this place is awesome. I was helped promptly. My daughter had to get supplies for a project and a nice elderly gentleman helped my daughter as I was frazzled because last min project shopping. He helped her as a grandpa would help their grandchild. He assured me that he had been thru this many times with his own kids and he would help until we found everything she needed. Another place where i was NOT made to feel less than because I was a female in a hardware store. Thank You for all the help! I wish I took the mans name down as I would love to recognize him on here.

Not sure if it was a bad day but I have been going to ACE for the past 26 years and was always helped and never felt taken advantage of until this day. One day this past August. I bought a pricey cordless chainsaw. Every power tool I had ever bought had a battery and charger included. The young man showed me where the chainsaws were then disappeared. I found my boxed saw got some oil and a few other things checked out and went home. So I got home and thought well I should charge the battery. Opened the box no battery. So I was doing yard work and my wife said she would drive to get a charger. Well at the store The manager was extremely rude. She called me I said let me talk to him. I was Expecting the helpful hardware man. Apparently not this day. He told me the price of the charger and battery which was more than the price of the saw. Then said oh we sell a chainsaw with battery included at only a few dollars more.By the way I am 60 years old and have owned a home in the area since 1997 and spent thousands of dollars over the years at this store. So the helpful man that showed me the saws could have said yeah the come without a battery here they are with the chargers and by the way we have a deal that includes the saw with a battery and charger.The Woman who checked me out could have said. The saw needs a battery I see you have not purchased one . Do you need one? And by the way I think there is a deal that includes the battery. The Manager instead of being rude to my Wife could have said. Looks like we dropped the ball on this one we usually do better than this. Sometimes an apology is all that is needed. They really need to do better with customer service. I like to support local businesses but if this day is any gauge on how the store is now run day to day. I can find most things cheaper at Home Depot or Amazon.

My usual place to go for items is Menards, but I'm very quickly changing my mind for the little things. Friendly, knowledgeable and quick to assist with what you are looking for. If they don't have what you want, they will assist you in finding it elsewhere.

I'll take my local hardware store over a big box store any day! The selection and prices are just as good... however, the customer service at Ace is truly aces! Thank you for always having just what I need...and more! My bifold closet doors are back online with the new plunger wheels I got at my last visit.

Great service!! If you need: keys cut, screens repaired, sharpened blades, ... You get the idea - they do it. And they greet you like you live in a small town, as friendly, helpful midwestern folks will do. And many of their products, though they may cost a bit more, are made in the U.S.A. What more need be said? Visit, and see for yourself.

Everytime I come here the staff is so friendly and very helpful if I need it! They always have what I need, and prices are fair. Would recommend this hardware store to anyone. This popcorn on the way out is a nice bonus because usually I have a child in tow and they love it! Admittedly, so do I.

These folks are always helpful. It is rare that I need something that they don't have. Their prices are fair and giving them business is worth keeping the local store as a resource. Faster than me going to home depot and I like feeding the local economy. Signe up for the reward program and you will get 5 to 10 dollars a MO th, which I find easily makes up for any price differences with the big stores. Gray place to shop.

But with that being said, sometimes the convenience and customer care makes up for any better deal out there with the bonus of it supporting your local retailers. Ace Hardware is one of those such retailers. Every time I go in there I’m greeted with a smile. And you cannot put a price on that anymore in my opinion. With our busy schedules and on the go go go it’s refreshing to see ppl still enjoy and know how to welcome their customers. And with that down home feeling to boot. Thank you EVERYONE at Mason, MI ACE HARDWARE YOU ARE TOP NOTCH AND WILL ALWAYS HAVE A CUSTOMER WITH ME!!😁

Ok, sure, it's "the place", but c'mon people, EVERY SINGLE EMPLOYEE IN THE STORE doesn't have to come up to us and ask if we need help. Oh, and they take this cov!d thing WAY too seriously. They show a customer what they think they're looking for then almost RUN away from them to make sure they are 6 feet away making the customer feel like they've got some sort of disease.

Staff are super friendly and knowledgeable. This location is a UPS drop off but they can not do qr code for shipping. If you need to use a qr code to ship say like an Amazon return you'll need to go elsewhere. I will be going to the main UPS hub on enterprise dr in Lansing to ship now for this problem.

Most small town hardwares simply can not be beat and the Ace Hardware in Mason, Michigan is no exception. The staff has always been jovial and very knowledgeable--even the youth that are often working. Great place to do business!

I drive all the way into Mason's Ace Hardware to buy the original Glass Plus Cleaner. Only my last trip, they switched up on me to Glass Plus ammonia free. I like the original Glass Plus and this is the only place around that sells it. Ace Hardware is known to be pricey on some products but I could always count on button my Glass Plus for 2.99! They have plenty of employees so you never have to wonder around aimlessly looking for parts. Please bring back the original Glass Plus!!!

Ace is the place! Always get my propane tanks filled here, they fill them while you wait, prices are reasonable, employees are friendly and it's Ace, they have what you need for other projects too!
