This place is not good! First the play care is a lot of crate time. They do not let the dogs play without saying they are too rough. The grooming tries to gouge you for more money! They want my dog on a 6 weeks schedule for cuts when it should be more like 10! The girl at the desk is always rude! They are just NOT a customer centric company.

Wonderful staff all the way around, I'm always happy with the service my dog gets here, and so does he. Everyone is always friendly and helpful with questions, the facility is always clean.

First time taking my dog Sadie she is a cockapoo. We were welcomed with smiles and hi’s. They took our Sadie and loved her and on her right away. They called me before they did the matting and got my permission before they did anything different than what I said. We had some matting, as I figured. They groomed her beautifully! I wasn’t pressured to bring her in, in seven weeks, they suggested it. I set up my next grooming appointment. I highly recommend Doggy Spa and Play Care! Great place for grooming!Great job to all the nice staff!

Cut my dogs nails too short and they bled while waiting for pick up and bled all the way home and they still have to be wrapped. Called them as soon as we got home and basically was told it happens and they have been grooming for 13 years. She wasn’t groomed like requested either. Poor experience

Would put zero stars if possible. We have been taking our 5 pound Shorkie for grooming for 10 years here. Over the last 2 years we got strong armed into taking him every 6 weeks because he was so bad according to them. We paid 70.00 a shot to do this. They would call us to remind us and decided to just ban our dog as of this week. When asked to speak to owners, we were informed there is none, just managers. Needless to say we bailed / banned happily. Took Ollie to VCA in Marshall and they said please let us continue to do him, great dog and cheaper. And no time requirement. Just be aware there other options in Marshall and this one should be your last. Like most we settle into doing same things for ease. We were so dumb. Avoid this place if possible. And if this place does indeed have owners, PLEASE reach out. Absolutely ridiculous. I would love to adjust my rating to a middle finger, unhappy face and another middle finger. Peace!

Took my collie/great Pyrenees in for a bath and BRUSHING. I did tell them I did not want a hair cut but absolutely did not expect to be told they did not remove knots they found. No phone call to ask about cutting the knots, just left them for me to take care of myself. I took my dog there because I am physically unable to sit and brush her right now....instead I paid $90 to finish it myself. Outrageous

Do not go here! If I could give 0 stars I would but it would not let me write the review. It has taken me a while to write this review because I was hoping that this company would make it right, but they did not. My family recently moved here, and we were looking for a good groomer. I called and specifically asked if they knew how to groom an Irish Terrier and the lady on the phone reassured me and said yes, that the groomer specializes in all terriers. Irish Terriers has wire hair and normally is hand stripped. There coats are very strong, and you are able to pull out the dead hair of their outer coat. I should have known that they had no clue what I was talking about when they said if she is too matted if they could shave her, but I thought this was just standard talk. I was looking forward to our appointment because we have not been able to groom our dog in the past year because we had a lot going on. We usually groom Abby twice a year. I filled out all our paperwork ahead of time. Our appointment was at 7 AM I brought Abby to the door and handed the lady our paperwork and her shot records and specifically told her not cut her beard, paws and eyebrows. The lady then took my dog then brought me new paperwork to fill out I advised her that I just gave her all the paperwork she was like oh yeah then walked back in. They called me a few hours later and when I picked up Abby I was in a hurry, and I looked down and did not know what to really say. I knew my husband would be upset they recommended Abby to come back every 4 to 5 weeks, which I thought was odd. I brought Abby home and my husband took a closer look at her she looked like a rat. They completely shaved her, and she was uneven everywhere and had a huge bald spot between her eyes. She had no hair on her feet and her beard and eyebrows were gone. My husband called and the girl on the phone said that she was matted everywhere. We explained her type of coat and that they should not have had to shave her because their coats are strong but if they did have to shave her that they could have at least made it even. The girl apologized and stated that she would have the groomer call the next day. We got a call the next day and it wasn't the groomer or manager it was the same girl. I actually felt bad for her. She should have not had to make that call it should have been a manager or the groomer to make things right. I explained to her again and had to repeat myself of what my husband said previously, and she then said that she would have someone call me. I have not heard back from Nobody. This place is extremely unprofessional, overpriced, and does a terrible job. WE will never go here again.

The people are so nice and on top of their jobs.. I walked in and less than two minutes they had my dog in the back getting her nails trimmed. And within minutes she was back out to me. Staff very helpful and friendly. Thanks for the great customer service 😊

Took my dog there past 10 years. They cut her nails too short. It bled so bad I had to wrap it at home. And all I got was( I'm sorry give your dog lots of love). Seriously? My dog was injured and they didn't make it right. Please go somewhere else.

Second time taking my pup in for a grooming. The first time was fine, but they barely trimmed him. This time I told them I only wanted a small trim and cut about an inch off. They shaved him down to the skin! Not only is he shaved but he is also uneven as hell! I went on a limb going here after reading the reviews but they messed up and will not be going back. The price is outrageous for the poor quality of work they did.

I took my two dogs there for a grooming and was initially happy but after looking over them I realized they hardly cleaned my girls ears and my boys were still dirtier than they should have been. They also didn't fully clip my girls nails they were still long and they totally missed one of her dew claws. I called to talk to them about it and all they had to tell me was they have a new employee that isn't fully trained yet and they would note it. I said so how is that my fault and she replied with I will have to have my manager call you back. It's been 3 days and I still haven't reviewed a call. If I wanted them mediocre clean I could have done it myself.

We took our dog here and she came back to us with fur missing and unable to stand/walk on her own. This will be a long review but I hope that it will keep this happening to another dog. Our dog is almost 13 years old, she is a husky and we knew this would be her last summer. When I called and made the appointment - I told them that she was old, never been groomed professionally and had arthritis. I told them I had no idea how it would go and that if it wasn't going well, to just let us know and we would come get her. We really just wanted her undercoat out so she could enjoy being outside her last summer. When my husband dropped her off, he reminded them of her age and her conditions and told them to just call him for anything. They kept her for 6 hours - when I picked her up they told me they gave her a bath but that the brushing out didn't go well so they stopped. I said that was no problem and paid. When they brought her out to me, a girl had to hold up her hind legs with a towel and we found a large spot (about the size of a medium apple) of skin where the fur had been ripped out. I called them back when I got home and explained to them the situation. I was looking to understand what happened and my money returned to me. I was told they would review the video footage and someone would call me back. I got a call several days later saying there was nothing on the video footage. I told them I would like to see it and they said no because there were several cameras and they didn't want to piece it all together. I told them that I had taken her to the vet and they confirmed something happened during the time frame she was at their facility and asked if the owners could contact me (my dog was also put on additional pain killers at this point). More than anything, I was looking for them to take ownership and apologize for injuring my dog. Instead they called me back and gave me specific instruction on how I could take legal action against them - I'm not sure why they would want to take that approach instead of having their owners talk to me and figuring this out amicably. I'm sure that no one intended to hurt my dog but that doesn't mean something didn't happen. I want to make sure that they would learn from what happened so that it would happen again. Instead they took this approach. I have yet to hear from the owners.

Wow! We recently moved to the area and we took Rylee for grooming. A first class job! She looks so good! We plan on boarding her as well. A nice facility and it doesn't smell and you don't hear a hundred dogs barking. It smells way better than a pet smart or any other corporate place. The staff was very understanding and took time to talk to us in person and on the phone. If you live within 2 hours, this is the place to go!5 years later and we no longer live in Marshall, we are in vicksburg and we have tried to find a competent groomer. Nope. Since I still work in Marshall she gets a day at the spa. After 5 years? Still top notch.

When they groomed my dog they knicked his eyelid with the clippers. They of course didn’t tell me. He has been to three vet appointments since they groomed him. He has to have surgery on his eye. I will never take my dog there again and neither should anyone else.

Myself and my wife have taken our Black Lab/Pit mix to the Doggie Spa for over a year now. We have a very energetic dog and loves to play, and when he was a puppy we had to prove all shots and his behavior, have not had an issue with either. The staff is always curious and helpful. Only issue we have ever had was once he was just over a year and he didn't want his nails trimmed, and as a large dog they helped and are always informative of what happens regardless if it is for a trimming or for a 4 night stay. I'd highly recommend.

Almost three years ago we left our 7 month old puppy for eight days. We felt very comfortable that our puppy was well cared for. Since that time we have had a neighbor watch our dog's but that neighbor is moving out of the neighborhood, we plan on coming back to the doggie spa & Play care Facility again when we are going out of town. A great place that I highly recommend!

Just got back from there. I will not go back. Just went in for a nail trim . Worst job I have ever seen. Charged me 3 dollars more than before which was already a rip off. Now it costs 18.00 and took less than 5 minutes. She even forgot to trim the nails on one of his paws!! This is the third time. I kept giving them a chance that maybe this was just a bad day. Not so!!! Wondered why it was always empty!! Now I know!!!She has no idea that she is treating animals. Just wants to get you out of there as fast as possible and charge as much as she can.DO NOT GO HERE!!!YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED!!! i GUARANTEE IT!!!

The groomer that cuts my dogs butchered them. She doesn’t blow dry them, They looked chopped and miserable when I picked them up. I’ve used them twice but will be looking for a better groomer. If my dogs looked great the price is fair but the amount I paid for such horrible results is way too high. I really doubt the groomer they assigned my dogs has been professionally trained. 😡

My dog loves to go to Doggie Spa for play care. He gets excited as soon as we pull in the parking lot! The staff has always been great, and I'm confident my dog is safe and having fun in their care.

Very unhappy!! We scheduled to bring our dog in over Christmas because we were going to battle creek to visit family. We spoke to an employee over the phone to confirm times prior to our trip. The employee stated that we could drop our dog off anytime during business hours and that they only have special pick up and drop off times on Christmas day. We drove 3 hours with our dog and arrived to the place at 3:00 pm on Christmas eve to be met with a sign that states they would be there at 6pm. I am now sitting in my hotel parking lot with my dog unable to check in due to this fiasco! Thanks alot!

My dog has been limping since I picked him up from a 2 day stay at Doggie Spa. The pads on his feet are raw and he whimpers when he walks. I’ll be sending the vet bill to the owners.
