For a Walmart, it's a solid 8/10. Clean, fairly well stocked, employees are usually pretty friendly. Their auto center is great, cheapest oil changes in the area. Their pickup/delivery service is the best I've seen yet, sure they get backed up sometimes but try going anywhere downstate, you'll wait longer in an empty Walmart.

The bakery has amazing cakes during the holidays. I wonder if there is a new employee or if they have just gotten better, but the stuff they come out with is amazing!People who have reviewed Walmart and spoken of rude employees, I wonder if they are all talking about the same employee because in all the years I've gone there everybody has been wonderful except one person who is always rude. I always see this person in the morning, usually by the only open register, and they make sure to leave (sometimes in a huff) when I go to the register so I'm standing there alone.I've never been rude or weird with this person. I am not buying a lot of stuff. I just want to buy my groceries and leave so I don't know if they have a problem with me personally or are like this to everybody. Other than that everybody is great.

I am highly appreciative of the delivery service as I don’t have a car. They deliver, every single time, the most rotten vegetables they can pass off. I CANNOT get fresh veggies or fruit. They do Not care nor will their “services” ever change for the benefit of their customers. Very sad business model.

Pharmacy staff are pleasant and helpful. They let you know about possible interactions or side effects. When something isn't covered by insurance and OTC are available they'll give suggestions and show you where it is.It seems floor employees are more friendly and willing to help you find something than in past years. They'll look it up and take you to the item even the Online Order Fillers; [those pushing the big blue carts].

I am surprised by some of the reviews, I found this Walmart Supercenter to be one of the best Walmarts that I have visited. The store was clean, the employees were helpful and kind, and they had everything I was looking for and more.I spend my summers traveling all over the country, hiking and mountain biking. I will often take advantage of Walmart’s policy to allow overnight vehicle-camping and this location is ideal. The store is on a hill and when the summer sun begins to rise and the warm rays hit the parking lot, it is gorgeous.Again, I simply don’t understand why there are so many negative reviews. I was in Marquette for about 10 days and during that time I overnighted there about half the time but, I made many purchases and never had a bad experience.I can recommend this Walmart, without any reservations, it is my all-time favorite Walmart.

Short old lady followed me and my friends around. We wanted to buy some lures and she followed us around talking on a radio. When we asked if we did anything wrong she told us she was “following us till we payed for our stuff” never been so insulted in my life.

Atm never works and good luck cashing a check. Employees are CONSTANTLY in the way and will not move for customers. I've been cut off or I'll stand there staring at something behind the employees cart and they literally just stand there in your way. They don't care. The prices suck but so does everywhere I guess.

The greeters can either be wonderful or act like you’re the worst thing to ever happen to them for even entering the store. The store itself tends to be pretty clean, but the staff really like to make it their mission to avoid you and act disgusted if you so much as look their way

Fantastic variety, good staff and a clean atmosphere that I don’t see at a lot of the downstate Walmart’s. Found what I was looking for very cheap here, great place for almost anything you’d need.

They never seem to give the customer the flexibility to use full service check out over the self check out as an option. Especially later in the evening. Besides that, the rest is an overall decent experience.

A midsize Walmart, they don't carry an extensive selection of items but have a great selection of produce and the basics. Decent size parking lot. Filled with RVs on the garden side at night. Management does a good job of keeping the parking lot clean and the store is always organized and clean as well. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Arrived about 45 mins before closing. Staff all busy getting the store clean and tidy for closing. All remained friendly, cheerful and helpful.Found all that I needed with some bonus treats all at affordable prices.Thank you Walmart Staff for a pleasant experience 😃

How rude of corporate and this local Walmart to have only 2 cashiers! They were extremely busy and we were all but forced to use self-checkout! This is why so many people, including me, very seldom shop there. This one, in Marquette, Michigan, is one of the worst. Meijer and most of all the local supermarkets will get my business from now on!

Good place too sit and sleep in the parking lot if ur a traveler...u should prolly make it a one night thing for that...they got good quality stuff and food there at a good price...its a little outa the way from downtown but do-able too travel too on bike or in a car...

The handsome woman named Sherri the "greeter" demanded my step father and disabled veteran leave his motorized shopping cart at the door even though I told her I always bring the carts back inside and I always plug them in again the walmart store in houghton will follow us out and bring them back themselves

As usual, only two " manned" checkouts open with lines in both. Went through self checkout. Went to scan bottle return slip and after it didn't work multiple times, an employee came up and told us we had to either go through a " manned" checkout or go to the customer service counter to cash in our bottle slip. Both had lines. ( So now we get to go get in line again!) Yet while shopping, we see at least a half dozen employees shopping for people too important ( or lazy) to actually do their own shopping. That's O.K. Walmart, keep doing what you are doing -. We're going to shop at Meijer, Target, Super One Grocery from now on. Walmart is just another business with HORRIBLE customer service. They just don't get it!!
