Wonderful staff - Clean place. Nervous about leaving out small friends, but was relieved after taking a tour before making plans.And by small I mean a 4lb Yorkie and a 8lb Chihuahua mix.After a very hard (for US) two night stay, our friends were glad to see us, but it was also obvious they were well taken care of.

My little girl Mia has seizures due to stressful events so I was super worried about getting her groomed for the first time, but they brought her in with lots of love and pets and she loved it. They took amazing care of her and she never had a seizure during or after. Thank you so much. I appreciate all of you. She looks absolutely beautiful and thank you for taking such great care of her. 💙

Let me tell you the truth about Northern Tails Pet Resort. The new owner that took over July 2023 beat a dog to have seizures. When employees disagreed that he didn't have to beat a dog when working with them. He fired the employees. And the employees that quit were bashed by them. The new owner Greg Dibble or any of the Dibbles should never be around dogs. UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR DOG BEAT DO NOT BRING THEM THERE

Luka, my germam shepherd, absolutely loves it here she sprints to the door as soon as we let her out of the car. The dogs and cats are very well taken care of and loved while the owners are away. Luka goes out there on weekdays!

My pup Prim comes to Northern Tails several days a week for doggie daycare and the crew here is great! She always comes home tired and happy. So thankful for this service!Not to mention their in house trainer Trina is truly a dog whisperer and has given me so many wonderful lessons. 🤗

Our dog spent a week here while we were vacationing in the area and I was very happy with every interaction I had with the staff, from the initial drop-off to my daily stops to take the dog for a walk. I was worried because this was our first time boarding him, but the staff happily showed me where he would be staying and made sure he had some "friends" to play with. He was happy to see me each day but just as happy to return to Northern Tails too. I would definitely recommend Northern Tails to my friends and will use again next time we are in the area.

Great prices, friendly staff. If you're driving east bound you may miss it as their road side sign only faces east. Other than that my dog seemed happy and so I was happy. They offer grooming while boarded as well. So you could get a two for one.

We take our puppy here and she loves it. She is always excited for any car ride but knows where she is going as soon as we pull in. Our puppy is deaf and the staff if very loving and friendly. I get pics when I ask for them via text. She is always very tired when she gets home from a day at daycare. My only concern at first was that she was coming home and drinking a ton of water like she was dehydrated. We asked and were told that there is a bowl of water inside the kennel so she must just be thirsty due to all of the running around and playing with other dogs. They will ask you about your pets temperment and usually put your pet with others the same size when they go outside to play. This was a concern of mine when we first started because my puppy wouldn't be able to hear or sense the signal or signs of another dog if they didn't want her around. Our dog has spent the night for one night and has also stayed for a weekend. They have reasonable rates. You can pay extra for bathing, or treats. They have a very well stocked store of pet supplies, leashes, treats, jackets and toys. I think they sell dog food too but I'm not sure. You get free nail trimming if you ask. You can bring your own food and treats, bedding, blankets or toys to help make your pet more comfortable. If you forget your food they will charge you but it really isn't that much. The only thing I would like to see improved is my pets information they keep on file and a more consistant knowledge of my pet and her needs shared with all the staff. There are shift changes and so the person who is there when you drop off may be different than when you pick up and they can't usually tell you, without talking to the other staff first how your pet was all day or night. Your pets status or incidents or care should be in the system for everyone to view and/or be printed out and placed on the outside of the kennel. I brought both of my dogs last week with enough food for them for 2 and a half days and was told when I picked them up that they ran out of food so they hadn't been fed their breakfast yet. We only feed our dogs twice a day and a certain amount. They must not of had that info on file and maybe fed them more or even 3x/day, not sure. I'm surprised they didn't just feed them and then charge me for it later. My dogs were fine to skip a meal if needed so I wasn't really upset. But I will say that we had asked them not to put our dogs in the same kennel just in case they didn't get along or because of food aggression and when we picked them up they had them in the same kennel. Now they could have misunderstood or not heard everything I had said at drop off because of all the camotion and how excited everyone was plus there was another dog in the store and one dog outside being dropped off too. It was a bit crazy. I just don't want to feel like I have to make sure everyone is on the same page before I leave. I will say, the nice thing is that even though they close at 8pm someone comes back to check on the animals and let them out around midnight. Trina is an excellent trainer. They offer group obediance classes and agility training. Trina will even come to your home to help you find a way to fix any problems you may have. And I believe they also still offer pet walking services at your house or they will come and let your dog out for you. I would definately recommend this place for your pets. My dogs are always happy when they go there and when they come home.
